This is my second time purchasing this watch strap. The first one I had only needed replacing because I was in a bad motorcycle accident – the fact that this thing can survive being hit by a car at 50mph and the only damage being it became a bit wobbly speaks volumes!
It’s comfy to wear and doesn’t rub or chafe at all. It’s easy to take on and off, but extremely secure. In the summer/during work-outs it doesn’t get too hot or sweaty, and when it gets wet it doesn’t retain moisture and dries out quickly.
I cannot recommend this watch strap enough. I’ve tried multiple brands that were double the price, but this one blows them all out of the water.
Brought this strap to use at work, the strap is good quality in terms of it’s robustness from my experience, and has a good price point compared to apples astronomical watch strap prices, things to note are that the stitching on the inside of the watch strap can be quite coarse, I don’t have sensitive skin by any means but found it rubbed on certain parts of my wrist to begin with but this stopped once the strap stitching softened up, so if you have sensitive skin maybe give this a miss
Second one of these straps that I purchased off Amazon. Had a search around for something as robust and comfortable but couldn’t find anything that I liked. I use my watch to record my fitness activities so this strap gets a lot of use. Taking it on and off and also getting wet with water and sweat. I bought the second strap as I just fancied a different colour.
The strap fits just like any other apple strap with the locking system.
The Velcro is very strong, it has never released even slightly.
Very hard wearing, after 2 years my blue strap is still in very good condition.
With the strap being Fabric you might think it holds water, it does, a bit, but dries out very quickly, so much so you barely notice it’s wet.
Not much else I can say about this really. For me it’s a very good strap and wouldn’t hesitate to get another. Just hope they do the same straps when I upgrade to the Apple Watch Ultra.
I bought the blue strap a month ago and have been wearing it 24/7 apart from when I charge the watch. I don’t often review my purchases, because I buy too many and I would spend all my time doing them. However I am so pleased with this strap I thought I would put pen to paper.
Pros – It looks good. It is very well made. It is very secure. It is extremely comfortable, probably the most comfortable watch strap I’ve ever had and I am 70, so I’ve had a lot. The Velcro is not showing any sign of wear. Some cheaper Velcro tend to fluff up and become less secure over time. It got a bit dirty whilst I was gardening yesterday, but a quick swill under the tap and it is as good as new.
Cons – There aren’t any that I’ve identified. I can’t fault it at all.
All in all, I am very pleased with this product. I will definitely be buying a couple more in different colours.
Update 17/9/22. Since writing the above review I have purchased 3 more straps, black green and silver. All of them are of excellent quality. I do have other straps for my watch, including the rather dire Apple silicone one that came with it when new. I have not used any of these since I bought the Nereides straps, that’s a mark of how pleased I am with them. Sadly the bright orange one is a bridge too far for my taste.
I did have one minor hiccup with one strap, a camouflage one. Unfortunately when the strap was fitted, neither part would lock into the watch. No problem. I returned it straight away and the money was refunded as soon as I deposited the package at the post office. Still worth the 5 stars I awarded initially.
