Amazing
I had an old Luna night vision. The swift 2 has absolutely blown me away. I’m not going to describe what it’s like , but for under 200 I’m absolutely shocked and amazed.
Cooles teil
Awesome
These night vision goggles are amazing for the money and I would highly recommend, the 1 x magnification dose not hindered and the focus is spot on and the fact they do get destroyed in day light is a bonus.
Compared to my other way more expensive night vision these are better and more comfortable to use, night fox has made night vision not only affordable but useable as well they are just fantastic!!!
An update: so I dropped them on straight onto concrete I thought no I’ve killed them but luckily I was very wrong the only damage they took was a bit of a scratch on the plastic casing
Was very uncertain on how good it was. Well it works amazing for night vision. More of a stationary type but you can walk with it on. The screen just can’t keep up like our eyes in real time but I use it walking in the woods just fine… just walk slower or you’ll loose balance from staring at the screen. I like it end of story

Amazing Only 1 regre
I bought these and after a few night time hikes I have to say my only regret is not buying the pro version for the recording feature.
It takes some getting used to as I found depth perception becomes worse but even at that if you just take things slow and pay attention everything is fine.
Furthermore, if you encounter the fps glitch where the device locks up when you enter the menu just- reset the device using a pin and then factory reset the device in the menu. This worked for me and now it works perfectly.
Early days but its more than promising
Ok so after buying the swift and having issues with the eye relief I returned that and bought the Prowl instead .
This has good eye relief and makes the difference between a soft image to a sharp image .
So this is going to be a long term review and will be added to as time goes by .
So in the box comes everything you need to start up inc a hard storage case that’s a good quality item as is the charge lead and the head mount it also comes with a helmet mount for airport and a lens cover .
Once unpacked charged and fitted the eye relief was set and provided a clear sharp image that git better as I played around with the settings, tmThe nightvwas clear with no moon and was dark .
The unit works well with no IR illumination switched on which on a dark night was ok but with cloud cover it’s pretty good this gets better with the IR illumination switched on and has settings from 1 to 5 and a 3x zoom it also has a back-light screen function that makes the image brighter to the eye .
So taking the dog for a walk into the moors with no torch the unit worked well and enabled me to see the dog and surrounding area with ease and I can see this being useful for night observation of wildlife or shooting.
I intend to use it for night fishing as I have lost some big carp at the net by them spooking when they see the head torch so this may be a worthwhile investment and I will add more info and video as the fishing season gets underway .
The one issue I had was walking around it sometimes was a little uneven as the depth perception is lost but I have a feeling that two units may solve this and Nightfox sell a bar that enables two units to be mounted together although this would be an expensive setup to solve the dept perception issue so I’m undecided to fork out the extra as yet and I’ll keep you updated on this .
The aftersales from Nightfox is simply awsome and even answered emails on Christmas day I’ve never had that kind of service and it’s a measure that company’s should mark themselves by .
All in all upto now its a good little unit that’s well made well presented and packaged is easy to use and may well be able to help in landing more fish ,time will tell and I’ll report more as its used so check back for more
This is a good product and operates as described. Fun to walk around the house in the dark. However it would take a lot of practice to be able to use it for self defense. It's very lightweight, on off and power levels are easy to use. The provided helmet mount is cheap plastic and will break.

The goggle build quality is very good. The case, straps and eye cup are of very good quality. The eye cup does a great job keeping light from escaping if you are in a situation you don’t want others to be able to see you. The ability to use various levels of IR to make yourself less noticeable to others is great. Having spent 12 years in the Army infantry, I would highly recommend this item. Unbeatable bang for the buck. The only thing I would add is a detent so when the goggles are raised from the face they could be locked in the raised position.
Super easy user interface, great clarity and visibility in total darkness. Mount and headbands feel solid. Would get 5 stars if it wasn’t for the fact that, as previously mentioned by others, the software freezes and the only way to fix it is by completely removing the battery. A task not meant to be done in the night, especially if you don’t have a mini Phillips head
WHO THESE ARE FOR : GENERAL PUBLIC. Despite the marketing images with helmets and all, if you are looking for a general pupose set of wearable (and they are usable as goggles) Night Vision Device(s) (NVD), than these will work for you. These are perfect for the ‘cryptid’ researcher types who need something in the woods that work, and that will not break the bank. I’ve used PVS-14’s in the military and currently live in the mountains, the NightFox Pros are not military grade, but they are perfect for a person with a reasonable income, that simply wants to have access to functional night vision just in case. I’ve tested them in the forest here, and they do fine. The ability to set the IR’s level is good for folks that simply want to either save power, or avoid folks who are also using NVDs. Like the other reviewer’s stated, these do have some firm ware issues, hopefully NighFox can resolve those as well.
YES THEY WORK. I used these to hike 5 miles in the middle of the night and it took some getting use to and slightly understanding the settings but they worked great! It’s very fun and cool to see in pitch black darkness. They seem durable enough and they are easy to use. Everyone that I have shown them to or let test out are amazed! These things are awesome!
The product’s IR night vision is good and works well at night. It even has a wide enough field of view to walk around in.
The firmware freezes on every use though, the menu stays on the screen and all the buttons stop working. If you set the screen frame rate to 60, and turn the screen brightness down to 2, it’s reproducible 100% of the time.
It’s close to being a great product, but I can’t reset the device in total darkness every time I need the menu.
