Accurate! I’m pleased with this laser measurer. I’ve wanted one for a while and after doing research, I opted for this one. I’ve tested distances with a tape measure, and then with this, and it seems very accurate. It’s especially good when you don’t have someone to hold the other end of the tape measure and is really handy to have in any home!
Why didn’t I buy this before? Wow, this is a remarkable piece of kit, it can occasionally give inaccurate measurements when used at a short range, less than 30cm, but for long range applications, it is very accurate. Just be sure to hold the laser at straight lines so as not to produce error due to Pythagoras ofcourse.

I ordered this as a bit of a novelty item thinking it probably wouldn’t be that great, but it’s actually fantastic. I’d used a tape measure app on my phone in the past, and while I expected it to be better than that, I don’t think I expected it to be dependably accurate.
Spoiler alert: It is!
I am a control freak, so I still struggle to give up my trusty old tape measure completely and will validate my results if they need to be mm perfect. I don’t think I’ll be able to justify that much longer though, as so far the digital results have been spot on.
It takes you through an initial calibration, which helped set my mind at ease, and I spent some time doing various tests around the house. I can’t speak for super long distances – it measures up to a whooping 50m! – but everything I’ve tested up to about ten meters has measured up to my tape meter.

Very neat and compact. Accurate. I like this little gadget! It is very small and lightweight and easily fits in a pocket. There are lots of different modes of operation and the instructions are easy to understand. I have compared the measurements against much more expensive devices and it seems to be very accurate. The display is easy to read in bright daylight as there is lots of contrast.
My one little issue with it is that the button marked with the universal symbol for On / Off operates as an Off button but not On. Despite the buttons being clearly marked with the words ‘On’ and ‘Off’ my brain can’t help but direct my finger towards the wrong ‘On’ button. It’s more a problem with me, but I still find it annoying.
Apart from that, everything works well, and I have a high confidence in its readings. It’s much more convenient to take this on site than it is my larger Leica unit, although the Leica has a better outdoor range. All things considered, this is a very good value device and I’m pleased to have it.
Great little gadge Very helpful when doing any sort of DIY that requires measuring distance… Like hanging up pictures and making sure they’re in the middle of the wall. Easy to use and measures accurately and quickly.

Measures up to expectations I got this laser measure for my husband who, although is pretty unsuccessful when it comes to jobs around the home, does love a good gadget! Most of his DIY failures stem from the fact that he rarely measures anything properly, so his domestic projects are doomed to failure. However, since this device arrived he has rarely stopped measuring every wall, floor, alcove and doorway – nothing is safe. First he measured our bay windows for roller blinds and although I didn’t hold out much hope, they actually fitted! I confess, I secretly measured them again before he ordered and his measurements were spot on, so I know this device is accurate. He even read the manual, which is a first. Yes, it’s lightweight, compact, has switchable units and has a more than adequate memory. In fact the detail in the listing is spot on, so all I can add is that at last I can look forward to him completing all those household jobs that have been piling up. So, I’m happy. He’s happy. It’s a win-win.
Very handy I got this for my partner we needed to measure multiple rooms for carpets, flooring wallpaper things like that and this device is so much easier than using the old method of using a tape measure.
The device it’s self is good quality, robust and durable handy for keeping in your tool bag it is a good size and super easy to use. I am not great with things like this but the instructions are really easy to follow and understand and the device is really easy to use. This device covers 6 different measurements but the one I needed it for was m2. It was so simple to enable me to measure a room for flooring or carpet with using this device it was quick and easy to do. The screen is nice and bright, easy to read. I don’t really understand other measurements but I can learn if I need to but for what I needed it for it was perfect.
This is one smart piece of kit. I wanted a measuring device which conveniently allows me to measure distances without actually having to use a measuring tape and awkwardly start measuring that required distance as sometimes there might also be obstacles in the way which would prevent an effective measurement.
This laser measuring tool not only effectively measures the distance from point A to B but can also add measurements together and also, get ready… can measure square meters and also cubic meters, however I’m still trying to get my head around these things especially the Pythagoras option, not that I need it much.
It is provided with the necessary batteries so I was ready to start measuring straight away.
I have effectively managed to measure up to a distance of 50 m.
This is a great device to have which makes my life a lot easier when it comes to measuring distances as I always tend to find myself without a long enough tape measure.
Great produc I should of bought one of these years ago lol, Really easy to use and the build quality seems pretty good, just point to where you need to measure and let the unit do the rest , It takes the brain work out of so much been able to tell you the square metres of a room etc, It does do a lot more complex measurements if needed but I will never use them I don’t think but it’s nice to know they are there if I ever need them, For under 20 this is a bargain useful tool to have and seems very accurate.

Time to Retire My Measure Tape (Almost) Up to this moment I used to measure everything I needed to measure with an old fashioned measure tape, but this laser gadget is hand-down in my top three of useful tools I own. It’s lightweight, can perform different calculations (or serve as a cat/dog toy), comes with instructions leaflet, two AAA alkaline batteries and a soft pouch. I spent at least half an hour measuring various distances after the initial calibration required by the tool in order to work properly: it’s quick, easy and almost like a game; gave it a shot in my back yard as well – at distance of almost 8 meters I was able to clearly see (mind you – I’m a bit short-sighted and weren’t wearing my lenses) the red laser dot on the fence on a rather cloudy winter day. The accuracy of the laser measure tape is as described (within the tolerance); the manual is quite clear and well-written, some of its best features (this isn’t a full list of all of the device’s full functionality), according to me are: the option to choose the back /front of the device as a reference point, calculation function (add/substract), diagonal calculation, area calculation, the big range (up to 50m), the different measure units, the two bubble levels and the single measurement function. The only downside I find is that it’s not dustproof or waterproof – which makes it suitable for indoor/household use mainly – thus – the four-star rating. I officially retired my old measure tape – with the exception of here and there fine measurements, but safe from these rare cases it’s going to sit tight in the drawer from now on.

After a quick review of the instruction manual I was able to pick up the basics and checked the accuracy by measuring smaller spaces in the house. I appreciated that the previous 3 measurements stay on screen.
Then I experimented with the area measurement options. I was not sure how this was done initially, but the on screen graphics are very helpful – they show you not only what mode you are in, but what measurement you need to take next.
This is a very helpful tool, and as I am currently refurbishing several rooms in the house, this is going to prove essential in measuring up for flooring, wallpaper etc. 5 stars for ease of use, accuracy and usefulness.

this will also give me SQ footage so i can calculate radiator sizes vs area vs btu’s.
have tried using a conventional tape measure which takes a lot longer and super fiddly.
this is reasonably accurate although there has been a few anomalies in the sense that it picked up a soil pipe in the corner so moving the measure away a bit more gave me a different measure (of course) but was head scratching for a while. Put that down to operator fault not the measure.

Reliable and Handy Tool for Home Renovatio This laser measure device has been used a lot since we received it. Measuring windows for new shutters was straightforward and the added spirit levels ensured accuracy.
One feature I really liked is the ability to store the last measurement on the screen, so you don’t have to keep checking or writing on scraps of paper.
2 batteries were included.
Very happy and we will get a lot of use out of it. We should have got one sooner.
Measures accurately This has a great clear screen and easy to work out what is going on.
Measures well and the volume feature is great. It’s very quick at reading and the red laser could even be seen outside.

Really useful Laser distance Mete This is a really handy laser distance measuring device by NIKOTEK.
The measurement device comes boxed with AA x 2 batteries and instructions and a carry handle.
For the price this doesn’t feel a cheap product and feels solid.
Turning it on it has a good clear display with 5 buttons on the front of it. I don’t doubt that I will not be using all its features but for the intended purpose of distance measuring I found that it appears quite accurate.
When using it as a distance measurement tool a red laser pointer appears on the wall or object you are aiming at and the distance is then displayed on the screen. This can be set to manual mode where it only shows the distance once or auto mode whereby it is updating continually for when you move the device.
I should mention also the device has 2 spirit levels top and bottom of the device at 90 degrees to each other which is really handy.
Overall I feel this is a solid product and is very competitively priced.
Fully featured and accurate I am very impressed with this. It is a neat little unit that packs a variety of features aside from just measuring.
It takes two AAA batteries (supplied) and once ready to go I found it easy to get the hang of.
One press to turn on, one press to turn on the laser, one press to measure. You can also do continuous moving measurement. It can store your measurements and do area measurements, and cubic measurements of a room! Very impressive.
It has two spirit level bubbles so you can be sure it is level or plumb.
Most importantly it is very accurate. I tested it against a tape measure and it was bang on to the millimetre. It has a stated tolerance of 1-2 mm and a range of 50M. You can recalibrate it if needed.
Excellent little device which will save the hassle of measuring with a tape when I need to calculate paint or wallpaper coverage etc.

I won't go back to metal! I find myself wondering why I have never considered picking up one of these before.
I’m currently converting my loft into a studio cum office space and this involves an awful lot of measuring, particularly of angled areas such as the eaves of the house.
Trying to do this alone with a metal tape is a pain, I find myself having to measure everything twice or thrice as I never seem to get the same measurement consecutively.
With the laser measure I can just turn it on, press it against one surface and point at the other, voila, a perfect measurement with zero effort on my part, I love this thing.
It is very lightweight though that in now way effects the performance and has a pair of bubble levels embedded for aligning verticals and horizontals, all the home handyman needs to measure spaces.
One other little use I found for it, as a photographer I still use a lot of old cameras with zone focus, basically you have to guess the focal distance and dial this into the lens, as this device is so small and light it can take a place in my camera bag to help with accuracy on such occasions 🙂
(But never when taking portraits for obvious reasons)

Build quality is very good and is made from very good materials, that aren’t the cheapest but also aren’t premium, but it does lean to the more premium than the cheap plastics that are being used.
The lcd screen being used is also very clear, but I would imagine it’ll be harder to see in bright sunlight
Measurements are very accurate and you can choose from several different measurements such as metres, feet and so on.
Now for the small issue/flaw that I found with this, and that if you want to use this outside, in even dullish daylight then you will struggle to see the lazer point/dot as its just too dull and too small especially over 2 to 3 metres (it will also not read the distance very well either outside
Inside use, I found no issues with this at all, and worked absolutely spot on.
If you have cats and dogs, keep them out of the area that you want to use this with, as you will find that the lazer dot, will be a very big attraction spot for them to play and to get it (my grandchildren thought that this was great watching both 5 cats and 4 dogs chash the lazer dot around like lunatics)
1 star deducted due to the limitations on not being able to use this outside that well, but 4 stars awarded for everything else, as it is a great tool, just a shame about the dullness and size of yhe lazer for outside use.

Laser Measuring Goodness! I didnt know what to expect as i’ve never really used one before, the instructions included are well set out and easy to follow, and it works a treat, it can automatically calculate a whole host of thing for ya with a few measurements and its very accurate. Great product!
Accurate and easy to use Very easy to use laser measurer.
The unit is a nice size and fits comfortably in the palm of the hand. For quick measurements simply hit the big arrow button 3x. Once to turn on the device, once to activate the laser, and once to record the measurement. If you record multiple measurements they are added to the bottom of the screen with up to the last 4 measurements displayed at any one time.
There’s also functions to calculate areas, volumes and pythagorean values.
You can set the device to record the length from either the front or back of the unit – mostly I would think it would be from the back with the device placed on the surface you are measuring from.
There’s also a calibration function, but the accuracy of mine was perfect out of the box – at least as good as I could measure with a tape measure and far quicker to use.
Finally there’s a continuous measurement function which displays the max and min distances measured over a period of time. Useful for when you have two walls and you need the shortest (or longest) distance between the without needing to worry about the measurement being taken perfectly square. There are two spirit levels on the unit, but I don’t find them that useful as they are tiny and my eyesight isn’t that good!
Overall my impressions of this are excellent – it’s pocket-sized, seems rugged and is very accurate. Goodbye tape measure??

One feature I really liked is the ability to store the last measurement on the screen, so you don’t have to keep checking or writing on scraps of paper.

Measures accurately
This has a great clear screen and easy to work out what is going on.
Measures well and the volume feature is great. It’s very quick at reading and the red laser could even be seen outside.
Good Value & Accurate Laser Measure
Good Value and accurate laser measure, offering a Laser Measure, 2 X AAA Batteries complete with a storage pouch which is a nice touch. It is very easy to use and if you haven’t used one before the included instructions are very easy to follow. Light weight and durable and good quality for the price.
Really useful Laser distance Mete
This is a really handy laser distance measuring device by NIKOTEK.
The measurement device comes boxed with AA x 2 batteries and instructions and a carry handle.
For the price this doesn’t feel a cheap product and feels solid.
Turning it on it has a good clear display with 5 buttons on the front of it. I don’t doubt that I will not be using all its features but for the intended purpose of distance measuring I found that it appears quite accurate.
When using it as a distance measurement tool a red laser pointer appears on the wall or object you are aiming at and the distance is then displayed on the screen. This can be set to manual mode where it only shows the distance once or auto mode whereby it is updating continually for when you move the device.
I should mention also the device has 2 spirit levels top and bottom of the device at 90 degrees to each other which is really handy.
Overall I feel this is a solid product and is very competitively priced.
Fully featured and accurate
I am very impressed with this. It is a neat little unit that packs a variety of features aside from just measuring.
It takes two AAA batteries (supplied) and once ready to go I found it easy to get the hang of.
One press to turn on, one press to turn on the laser, one press to measure. You can also do continuous moving measurement. It can store your measurements and do area measurements, and cubic measurements of a room! Very impressive.
It has two spirit level bubbles so you can be sure it is level or plumb.
Most importantly it is very accurate. I tested it against a tape measure and it was bang on to the millimetre. It has a stated tolerance of 1-2 mm and a range of 50M. You can recalibrate it if needed.
Excellent little device which will save the hassle of measuring with a tape when I need to calculate paint or wallpaper coverage etc.

My Daughter is nearing completion of a house build and needed measuring up for flooring and window blinds. This tool made the job so much easier and quicker.
Easy and quick to get measurements and calculate areas and, tested against a tape measure, it’s very accurate.
Runs on 2 AAA batteries (supplied) and comes with a nice quality pouch and wrist strap.
Not much more expensive than a decent tape measure so excellent value and it goes up to 50m, try carrying a 50m tape in your pocket.
A must have for your toolbox.
I have no idea how long the batteries will last but I’ll probably replace them with rechargeable ones when they run out.

I won't go back to metal!
I find myself wondering why I have never considered picking up one of these before.
I’m currently converting my loft into a studio cum office space and this involves an awful lot of measuring, particularly of angled areas such as the eaves of the house.
Trying to do this alone with a metal tape is a pain, I find myself having to measure everything twice or thrice as I never seem to get the same measurement consecutively.
With the laser measure I can just turn it on, press it against one surface and point at the other, voila, a perfect measurement with zero effort on my part, I love this thing.
It is very lightweight though that in now way effects the performance and has a pair of bubble levels embedded for aligning verticals and horizontals, all the home handyman needs to measure spaces.
One other little use I found for it, as a photographer I still use a lot of old cameras with zone focus, basically you have to guess the focal distance and dial this into the lens, as this device is so small and light it can take a place in my camera bag to help with accuracy on such occasions 🙂
(But never when taking portraits for obvious reasons)
Excellent but with one small flaw
This little later measurer is excellent addition to all tool boxes

Build quality is very good and is made from very good materials, that aren’t the cheapest but also aren’t premium, but it does lean to the more premium than the cheap plastics that are being used.
The lcd screen being used is also very clear, but I would imagine it’ll be harder to see in bright sunlight
Measurements are very accurate and you can choose from several different measurements such as metres, feet and so on.
Now for the small issue/flaw that I found with this, and that if you want to use this outside, in even dullish daylight then you will struggle to see the lazer point/dot as its just too dull and too small especially over 2 to 3 metres (it will also not read the distance very well either outside
Inside use, I found no issues with this at all, and worked absolutely spot on.
If you have cats and dogs, keep them out of the area that you want to use this with, as you will find that the lazer dot, will be a very big attraction spot for them to play and to get it (my grandchildren thought that this was great watching both 5 cats and 4 dogs chash the lazer dot around like lunatics)
1 star deducted due to the limitations on not being able to use this outside that well, but 4 stars awarded for everything else, as it is a great tool, just a shame about the dullness and size of yhe lazer for outside use.
Precision in your hand: A DIY Essential!

Laser Measuring Goodness!
I didnt know what to expect as i’ve never really used one before, the instructions included are well set out and easy to follow, and it works a treat, it can automatically calculate a whole host of thing for ya with a few measurements and its very accurate. Great product!
Accurate and easy to use
Very easy to use laser measurer.
The unit is a nice size and fits comfortably in the palm of the hand. For quick measurements simply hit the big arrow button 3x. Once to turn on the device, once to activate the laser, and once to record the measurement. If you record multiple measurements they are added to the bottom of the screen with up to the last 4 measurements displayed at any one time.
There’s also functions to calculate areas, volumes and pythagorean values.
You can set the device to record the length from either the front or back of the unit – mostly I would think it would be from the back with the device placed on the surface you are measuring from.
There’s also a calibration function, but the accuracy of mine was perfect out of the box – at least as good as I could measure with a tape measure and far quicker to use.
Finally there’s a continuous measurement function which displays the max and min distances measured over a period of time. Useful for when you have two walls and you need the shortest (or longest) distance between the without needing to worry about the measurement being taken perfectly square. There are two spirit levels on the unit, but I don’t find them that useful as they are tiny and my eyesight isn’t that good!
Overall my impressions of this are excellent – it’s pocket-sized, seems rugged and is very accurate. Goodbye tape measure??
