A really tidy little PC, worth every penny
I have had this NiPoGi Mini PC W-11 now for around six weeks and I am very impressed. In the past, my PCs had been well known brands and reasonably powerful. I wasn’t sure what I would get ‘down marketing’ to a far less powerful mini from a relatively unknown brand but reviews appeared good. Win 11 Pro installed for the price was also an incentive.
I added the 500 GB SSD from my old system, which was extremely simple to do, and ran everything I could to put the PC through its paces – it never flinched! I believe some things ran even better.
I’m not a game player so I can’t offer an opinion on that but for everything else from spreadsheets, email, browsing, live TV and films – it has behaved impeccably.
Initially, I had some problems with my Wi-Fi connection and sought the help of support. The response was prompt and helpful and after some trial and error, it was resolved. They offered to exchange if the problem persisted which inspired some confidence in the company. I would give full marks to the support team.
I would recommend this mini to an average home user. It is very good value for money and performs well.
Truenas scale
16gb and 500gb M2 SSD.
Bought one of these as a small but powerful NAS with Plex server installed. Works really well.
Added a 4TB SSD for media, and installed truenas scale onto an Amazon 128gb USB thumb drive, with an additional USB 22TB media drive connected for media.
I’m really happy with this so far, it draws low power and super quiet. GPU is dedicated to Plex.
Easy to use
I expected to have problems setting this up, but I was pleasantly surprised. Worked immediately with no issues. Nice to sit on the settee and watch YouTube, stream films etc or just browse the Internet.
I was really impressed with the computer, specially at this price range(180)
This is obviously no gaming PC, but I was looking for a Desktop box to do office work and this one fits the bill perfectly, beside having a small footprint, and very silent
I noticed it gets pretty hot, so maybe needs a bi of extra cooling in the long term?
Its weakness is its expandability, but this again is understandable: you can only have a 500Gb main drive ( either SATA, which was supplied , or NVME if you replace it, which I did) and 16GB or RAM, which, again it comes with
On the Support side , I can say i am NOT impressed: besides taking days to respond my queries, I got contradicting information from diferent individual, and they even offered to give me a discount ( not sure how they, or will they do it) to give them a good feedback
Overall, I’m very happy with the performance, but as I say, is a pity you barely cannot get any support from the manufacturer: All they need to do – like other companies – is to have a web site and put the documentation files there!
Home assista
Use it for running Home Assistant with Linux/Docker, it is a lot more capable than a raspberry pi but doesn’t use much power – around 10 watts.
Got it on a lightning deal so great value for money.
A neat efficient little machine and excellent service from selle
This is a compact machine which gives an unexpected power. It is really minute and yet has as many connections as anyone might need. You can connect a USB extension and have as many USB devices as you need. I have not put in extra storage as the internal 512Gb seems enough and is enhanced by having 16gb of RAM. The internet WIFI is good and works well as does the Bluetooth connection.
If you are looking for a space-saving device with power that works well then look no further—having said that it is not a superpower, just efficient and practical. I considered it carefully before buying and am happy with the result. I remain unconvinced that Windows 11 is a massive improvement. It does too much
This delightful little computer is a replacement for my defunct desktop, which actually cluttered the floor by my feet in my confined ‘office’. This mini-pc really is mini – I can pick it up with one hand (alright, I have big hands), it is 5″x5″x2″ (13x13x5cm) and sits on the corner of a shelf behind the monitor. It’s actually designed to attach to the back of a monitor if you wish. With 4 USB slots + 2 HDMI’s and a LAN connector, it has adequate connectivity for my needs. I am not a gamer, and I don’t believe this mini-pc would be anywhere near powerful enough for hard-core gaming (hence the one star), but it suits my gentler needs – email/internet, word-processing, image-processing and so on. The 16Gb RAM is twice the size of my defunct PC, and happily copes with my demands.
It has performed flawlessly for me after initial setting-up hassle registering Win 11, which the vendor sorted out for me very obligingly.
This review asks about fingerprint readers, which I’m not qualified to comment on – I don’t use one (hence one star).
At the price, I cannot fault it – my inexpensive laptop cost more! If you need a straightforward, no-frills, budget, reliable computer, I really recommend the NiPoGi Windows 11 Mini PC.
Delivery excellent set up was a breeze except for one slight hic-up with the Windows activation code but the customer service has been first class with dealing with my enquiry. All round, a great experience, highly recommended.
After a hiccup with the Windows 11 activation had been satisfactorily and competently dealt with, I now have the dream set up. Small form factor so that my Georgeann desk is not occupied by a large desktop box. The performance is outstanding for my needs. I can not praise the support team highly enough. They have gone the extra mile to sort out my problems and I am happy to recommend these computers to my clients.
A great little unit!
I’m really very please with this Mini PC. All the features of a full sized unit but so small that it fits perfectly on the back of my monitor – it keeps all the clutter away from the desk to maximise space. Customer service team are friendly and very responsive. I will buy again. Many thanks.
Phenomenal piece of kit. I did not bother with Windows 11 instead booting straight into Linux Mint 21.2 with Cinnamon. I chose dual boot so I could use the W11 in the future, maybe. The install was textbook, with no gotchas at all. After changing boot order to launch Linux by default, what’s it like? Well, everything works perfectly, it’s crazy fast and it looks and handles brilliantly!
It handles development tools, multi tab browsing, document editing, playing music and video (and casting content to Bluetooth devices), like it’s nothing at all with the UI remaining ultra responsive. Could not have asked for more.
Highly recommended!
Excellent mini-PC and support experience
The product is a fine mini-PC for our family everyday use using the internet, and some graphic design work. The PC is very quiet and unobtrusive. Support have been very helpful in providing the Windows activation key without any fuss at all.
Great device
Installation and setup went smoothly with no problems. Remember not to have wfi or network connected when setting up initially, enable when Windows wants to look for updates. Checked before this, to ensure it was activated and it was with a digital license.
Works very well and accesses my old computer network without problems. Windows 11 Pro a little strange to Windows 10 but finding my way around quickly. Good quick device, updates all went without a hitch likewise downloading and installing 22H2, perfect.
More than happy with it. Finally jumped in to nuy this device on last day of 50 discount offer. Certainly glad I did.
Cant fault this
No problems setting it up.
Speedy enough for day to day use and all the connections you could need.
Windows 11 included with a licence (had to email support but zero problems)
Tiny footprint and much less power used.
100% worthy upgrade (my old ones motherboard died)
I purchased this mini PC around a month ago and it has been operating really well.
It is clipped to the back of the monitor with a wireless mouse and keyboard so there are literally on the the two power cables coming down so it sits tidily in the corner.
It runs quietly and with 16GBs of RAM is more than capable of every day family computing. We have Office 365 installed which runs with no issues, which is great for our children’s homework as well as internet browsing and streaming content.
As mentioned by other reviewers this isn’t a gaming PC, but for the money it is an excellent more than capable family PC.
Had this running Ubuntu Server with Mastodon and Uptime Kuma (very light work for a device of this rating). But after less than a month the system just died on me. Even running a headless server configuration the system gets hot and I’m guessing this is part of the issue.
Not suitable as a cheap in-house server, but probably okay as an entry level office PC etc.
A great little PC that I use for amateur radio digital modes hooked up to my radios via a USB interface. It’s small and fits in nicely in my radioshack.
However if you need to re-install Windows bear in mind that their website doesn’t have any hardware drivers to download. It was a nightmare trying to find drivers for it elsewhere without knowing the exact hardware inside the PC.
I bought this as an additional PC to basically run an Ubuntu desktop to run a few Docker Containers and Home Assistant for some automation’s within my smart home environment. So far it’s delivered on everything I’ve needed it to do, to the point I’ve bought another – and I’ll replace my existing desktop with one of these – and get myself on Windows 11. I don’t have a lot of heavy use for my personal desktop machine so one of these will do very nicely.
Bought this Mini PC to expand my network terminals and boy has it turned to the star of my arsenal. It was a breeze to set up and has ample USB slots for all my needs. It is now the fasted PC on my network and performs better than two other desktops I have. It is also an amazing desk space saver and you hardly notice it is there. Amazing value as it was under 200. Thinking now of changing my other desktops to this amazing little space saver.
Awesome basic budget Windows PC
This is an amazing budget Windows PC. My mother needed her old desktop replacing and this did the job perfectly (except it doesn’t have a CD/DVD – but you can purchase an external one of those for next to nothing these days). It arrived on time and all we had to do was plug in the existing keyboard, mouse and screen and we were away. Getting rid of a large desktop underneath her small desk was really handy.
I only wanted it for basics Youtube streaming email etc, which it handles no problem. I like it takes up so little space on desk and I can still use my existing monitor etc.
window 11 is clean and good to use although still lags a little in large file folders but overall for the price this great value for money
An amazing pc for the price. Very fast and a very clean and easy install/setup. I have not used windows 11 before and I found it easy to adapt to and very refreshing. I plugged two hdmi monitors into the pc and it recognised both of them with no problem. I have Not experienced any fan noise as yet. The only downside is that the case is a bit light and flimsy, but I can live with that. I will fit an SSD at some stage. It is very easy to do.
Great size, performance and install
Amazing performance for the size. Runs windows and main apps very easily. Graphics performance can sometimes be poor on small factor machines but this is capable of handling office applications, Netflix and extra stuff without lagging.
I’ve mounted the PC on the underside of a desk to minimise visible cabling. It’s so light it could go behind the monitor/tv
Minor downsides. It’s a little thick, so doesn’t fit neatly behind a wall mounted TV. Comes with 2x HDMI and 1xVGA ports; might have preferred 3xHDMI for a multi monitor setup
I wanted a mini-pc as an alternative to running my gaming rig all the time in the interests of saving energy. I replaced the in-built Windows 10 with Pop!OS – a type of linux. It works fast, streams fine at 1080p, can handle two full HD screens… don’t expect to game on it, naturally. When the fan kicks in it’s noticeable but not distracting. Quite happy with my purchase.
I purchased this for the base computer when I am working at my partner’s house.
I wanted something cheap, easy to use and set up. This item fulfilled all the boxes.
I did have some trouble when I booted it up as it was stuck in a “Just a Moment” loop but a couple of messages to the exceptionally helpful seller and it was rectified immediately. (The Seller was top notch)
As for the computer it does what it says on the tin – it is relatively quiet, powerful enough to run multiple web browser being open and a couple of other programmes such as word etc. It is a perfect little box.
The mini pc works fine, no complaints apart from windows 10 insisting that it uses the generic pnp display driver (regardless of how many options and drivers I tried.) Some smart TVs will not recognise the Generic driver (in my case LG) so if you turn off the TV then turn it back on it won’t see the PC, it will show on the TV as an unrecognised device. In order to fix it, you have to unplug the HDMI cable then plug it back in.. everytime you turn your tv on.
My final fix was to install Linux, window has finally beaten me on this one. If anyone knows of a fix then I’d be happy to hear it 🙂
