It arrived fast and so easy to connect and add to Alexa. No hub needed as most don’t work on 5g.
Like that much I bought another two same day.

To quote a well known Youtuber …….. “It just wooooooorks” – sure, he’s being sarcastic, but bottom line is Hue products “just work” – no compatibility issues and you get what you pay for, decent quality products that will outlast cheaper versions.

Been using Philips Hue bulbs for about 6 years – can’t fault them.
Easy to add to existing setup and work as expected.
Only had one issue where one bulb would not turn off completely but still worked.

I did a lot of research and went for the more expensive because I wanted seamless integration with Alexa. These work brilliantly with Alexa; there is a set up routine to follow that isn’t clear. Step 1 set up in the Philips hue app. Step 2 set up in the Alexa app and follow the steps where it asks if you’ve set it up in the hue app. After that Alexa quickly discovers and sets it up.

Works with hue as expected, sometimes light come on by themselves not sure why could.be software update. But lights must be switched on and controlled by app. If you manually switch it off then back on it doesn’t always work. And when it’s switched off you have no control.

Shame no colour but that would be a different product/ these work fine/ they work with Alexa and apple home and apparently Google. You can dim them and switch them off with voice commands and at a cheaper price than others that’s a good thing.
Nice to be able to ask Alexa to turn off the lights

Bought a twin pack – one for the Hall and one for the bedroom and was recognised immediately. The hall one is to replace a lamp I have in there as a night light and I’m pleased with how much these can dim. You can also set up an automation in the Hue app to turn on at sunset and switch off at sunrise and I presume because it wanted permission to know my location that the timings will be altered depending on the time of year – much better than a normal timer. I do have the Hue Bridge though so I assume this is not available without.
