This little extension cable is ideal, long enough to work well, but not so long that there is excess cable making the place look untidy. Sound and picture quality are unaffected, so this represents great value for money. Highly recommended.
Im not sure if there is a specific reason to use this type of cables but it works for me. I have a could of hard to get to connectors without removing some blanking plates on my monitor.
I simply plug this in to the monitor and then my normal HDMI in to this, it means the cabling isnt constantly tugging at the connector and if I want to do some testing I can simply unplug this connector without removing the HDMI to the monitor itself.
At 3.99 its cheap and does this job perfectly.
I use this device to extend an Amazon Fire Stick from the back of one of my TV’s, and it does the job in a straight forward, no fuss way.
Connection seem to be solid with no ‘play’ and with everything I have watched so far there have been absolutely no issues regarding picture or sound quality.
Packaging is minmal which is nice to see as well. This is a good, cheap product that is easy to use and just works very well.
I have been a big fan of these mini extenders for a long while (since getting them with smart streaming devices) especially for monitors with recessed ports that are awkward to get to, as by using this you can just plug into the extender rather than the recessed port.
I found the description a little congusing as it states 4K 1080P (and most references state 1080p support) so wasnt sure wherther it would support a 4K resolution or not ( would have used on a 1080p device if noy). However I used on a 4K monitor and it supported 4K at 60Hz. In that configuration I was only using teh HDMI for video. I also used on a Firestick on a 1080p TV where it supported 1080p at 60Hz and the sound was fine. The connections were solid and sturdy, the cable extremely well built and flexible. Looks like it will last. A good price for an extender.
This HDMI extender cable from Pipestation help solve the problem of not being able to attach an HDMI device into a socket where the TV socket points outwards from the TV and not sidways. A Firestick for instance. By attaching this extender it allows the Firestick or whatever to hang down and still be used. When the TV is wall mounted. Always handy to have one of these for those awkward moments. It’ll help get you put of a bind sometimes.
I take mine on holiday as I like to take my Firestick away and this means I can usually connect it to the hotel tv.
Essential for me.
Not the best quality – not as good as the ones that come with Fire TV Sticks – bit does the job.
I got this to replace a misplaced one that came with my Fire TV Stick and it does the job.
I have a 4K Fire TV Stick but not a 4K TV (wanted for the extra speed as the regular Fire TV Sticks are a bit slow), so I can’t confirm whether this extender can handle 4K or not (the description is a bit confused as it mentions 4K in some places but not others).
I can confirm, however, that it does support HDR which is promising.
This arrived in minimal packaging (good) and feels solid. the two ends feel strong and offer protection against strain on the connectors.
This is very similar to the short extension cable that you get with a Fire Stick – and I think that is where most people would use it (or with similar devices like the Roku stick). What it does is allow you to have the stick not hanging straight out of the back or side of your TV – potentially stressing the TV’s HDMI port.
In testing the performance was absolutely fine, and it does its job in allowing the stick to be positioned in a way that is kind to the HDMI port.
It is inexpensive (as it should be) and if you need a product like this then this is more than up to the job.
My main TV has one of those HDMI ports that has little-to-no space around it in order to fit certain 4K capable HDMI cables. As I often have to connect different cables, I wanted something to make the port more accessible to them.
This does just that, as it quickly and simply brings the port further away from the device, meaning you can then connect whatever HDMI cable you need at the particular time to the screen.
