To any adult (including myself) this seems like a bit of plastic tat that doesn’t do much at all, gave it to a 4 year old girl and she thinks Polly Pockets are brilliant toys.
This set is what i would call a larger size set loosely based on a retro drive thru cinema design, you get two Polly dolls and the usual small assortment of tiny accessories as well as a car for the added drive thru experience. This isn’t like a usual polly pocket set where everything is stowed into a handy “home” case for portability and storage.
My child spent quite a long time playing around with this along with other Polly Pocket sets she has and her own imagination. It is colourful and the details and design are nice on this set although quite expensive at 38.97 (at the time of review), this seems a little high for such a small item but this set in particular has some good features that my child really enjoyed. I like they styling on this one but would have said around the 25 mark.
Brightly coloured Polly Pocket drive in movie play set. Comes with lots of little plastic accessories as you would expect from Polly. It was easy enough to put together, with reasonable build quality. It is a genuine set so what you get is what you expect. It’s a bit pricey, very plastic but loved by children and very much on brand for Polly Pocket.
This is a fun Polly Pocket set and is based on a drive in movie theatre. I thought this was a creative idea and my daughter really enjoyed getting creative and coming up with different scenarios for the dolls. So a great set to get children doing imaginative play. The set itself comprises of 2 micro dolls, 1 toy car, 11 accessories, and 3 floors (areas) to play with. As with all Polly Pocket toys the dolls and accessories are small. So that is something to bear in mind.
Overall it is a really fun set and a bit different to other Polly Pocket play sets. It doesn’t fold away so is a little bulky. We do have a larger toy box that it fits in so this isn’t too much of a problem. Otherwise you might have to keep it out on display. There are lots of little details on each floor so there is a little bit of everything to keep children entertained.
I was so excited to receive this, bringing back memories from my childhood. First thing to note, is it is nothing like the little boxes we used to play with when we were young. The characters are larger and are more on trend with current, but over the top fashion. The house is a lot larger than they used to be and they don’t fold away which was one of the main features of the old Polly Pockets. The plastic itself is the flimsy plastic most toys are now made from, it won’t last forever but it is what most toys are now like, so this is just something we have come to accept now. Having said all of these negatives, it is an absolutely lovely toy. It’s bright, colourful, engaging, exciting and allows lots of opportunity for imagination and play. I think most little girls would absolutely love this toy. My niece was so happy when she received it and we have loved playing with it together.

This is an impressive drive through movie theatre set, you get a little car, two dolls and 11 different accessories including a little table and chairs.
There’s lots of fun details, such as you can take the car up in the lift to the movie and then drive down the ramp afterwards. It has become a firm favourite with my daughter. So much to do and a bit different too. Brilliant set, great value, would happily recommend!
This is a lovely toy for a toddler but it is a little flimsy. After it all ‘clicks’ together I’ve not found a way to break it up again (without actually breaking it) if you want to put it away.
My kid loves it and has played with it for ages. However, a word of warning, the pieces are even teenier than I expected so I’d be very cautious with younger children around.
This Polly Pocket set is very bright and colourful. It comes with a car, as well as a polly pocket that sits inside it. The lift is a nice touch, although it doesn’t seem the most sturdy part of the set, and weirdly the car only fits on it sideways, so you need to turn it around to get it in position to go down the ramp. The cat popping up was a nice surprise, but only seems to go down when pushed.
A decent set, but not one I can see lasting a long time (especially with the way my nieces play with their toys). There are also some very small pieces that could be lost easily.
This arrives in a brightly coloured branded box measuring approx 33.5cm x 22.5cm x just over 8cm.
It would be easy to wrap & make an excellent gift for a Polly Pocket fan.
There is very little assembly required with this set so it’s very quick to set up & it comes with 2 dolls & a car, plus a number of pop & swap accessories that can be used in this set, or any of the other ones.
If you already have some Polly Pocket sets, you can interchange most of the bits like furniture between the sets.
This has a lift on one end for your movie goers to rid up to the rooftop cinema (flip the screen round for an alternative screen image, then they exit via the slide.
Going down it, the car goes over a ‘speed bump’ at the bottom which makes the ice-cream pop up as the car goes past.
There is a little restaurant on the ground floor with seating for 2 & snacks, plus a 1st floor gift shop & a toilet with a door, so all the things Polly & friends could need for a double feature at the drive in are here.
Made of sturdy plastic, with many additional embossed features, this fits in with other Pollyville playsets really well.
This Polly Pocket Drive-In Movie is great fun. It is easy to assemble and contains a car two dolls and everything you would expect to find at a drive-in theatre.
There is a pink slide for the car to drive up and down and a there screen with different movie pictures to watch. At the drive-in, there is a shop selling popcorn, drinks and a place to sit and eat.
This beautiful drive-in promotes imagination, and fine motor skills as well as builds on relationships, communication skills and interactive play. It makes a great birthday or Christmas present. My niece loves it.
