Ich bin ein groer Fan von Street Fighter — und dies seit seligen SNES-Tagen. Nun spiele ich Street Fighter auf dem PC und griff zu, als mir dieses Board angeboten wurde.
Die Mischung aus Tastatur und Joystick wird per USB angeschlossen und steht sofort zur Verfgung. Das Layout eignet sich hervorragend fr Kampfspiele — neben dem erwhnten Street Fighter macht auch Mortal Combat verdammt viel Spa damit.
Die Buttons reagieren sehr schnell, nach wenig Eingewhnungszeit kann man bereits Gegner zu Boden schicken und nach knapp einer halben Stunde gelangen mir auch die Spezial-Attacken.
Schn ist, dass ein Headphone-Jack (3,5) verbaut ist, man sein Headset also direkt an dem Controller anschlieen kann.
Ich habe das Gert nur unter Windows getestet und hier macht es einen sehr guten Eindruck. Das Spielen macht Spa, die Verarbeitung ist gut und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhltnis passt. Das ergibt am Ende 5 von 5 Sterne. Wer zudem noch nach einem verspteten Geschenk fr einen Gamer sucht, der macht hier nichts falsch!

Ich habe die PXN X8 Arcade Fight Stick Box kostenlos zum Testen erhalten. Das Produkt wurde schnell geliefert und was sicher in einer ansprechenden Verkaufschachtel verpackt.
Das Kunststoffgehuse ist sauber verarbeitet und sehr stabil. Die Pfeiltasten sind vom klicky Typ. die Schalter fr die roten Knpfe sollen angeblich vom gleichen Typ sein. Sie sind aber deutlich leiser. Die Pfeiltasten lsen ungefhr bei halber Wegstrecke, die roten Tasten im 1. Drittel aus.
Fr das Gert gibt es keinen Treiber. Es gibt Unterschiede in der Firmware, was ich bei einigen Spielen in der Funktionsweise auswirkt.
Dieses Gert ist ideal fr Spiele wie Tekken. Natrlich knnen auch alle anderen Spiele gespielt werden (laut meinem Hilfstester kann man es auch gut fr Minecraft benutzen). Der Controller fr die Konsolen knnen ebenfalls angeschlossen werden. Desweiteren findet sich eine 3,5 cm Klinkenbuchse fr ein Headset.
Ich habe es leider nicht geschafft die Tastenfunktionen zu ndern und es so als Shortcut Tasten fr andere Programme zu gebrauchen. Das kann aber auch an meinen technischen Unvermgen liegen.
Die Tasten sind geltet und man kommt sehr leicht in das Innere des Gehuses. D. h. die Tasten knnen leicht ausgetauscht werden was fr Profis sicher wichtig ist.
Die Kurzanleitung erklrt die einzelnen Tastenfunktionen auf Englisch und Chinesisch.

Der PXN X8 Arcade Controller, ist ein sehr guter Einstieg in die Welt der Arcade/Mix-Controller. Denn fr solche Controller kann man auch schnell bis zu 400 ausgeben.
Ist dieser gnstige Einstieg dann schlecht ? Ganz klar, nein. Es ist ein guter Einstieg und reicht fr alle die gelegentlich mal Tekken, Mortal Combat oder Street Fighter zocken mchten, eine gute Wahl.
Die Verarbeitung ist sauber und was mir gefallen hat, sie die mechanischen Pfeiltasten. Auch die Actionbuttons haben einen sauberen und guten Klick.
Combo’s kann ich hiermit defenitiv um einiges besser umsetzen, als mit Controller. Ich hatte auch keine Schiwerigkeiten mich einzufuchsen, da ich damit gro geworden bin und da wurde ich doch schnell nostalgisch und hab groen Spa jetzt die genannten Games nicht mehr mit einem normalen Controller spielen zu mssen
+ Gnstiger, aber guter Einstieg in die Welt dieser Controller – reicht wirklich fr die meisten Spieler aus
+ Verarbeitung ist sauber und macht einen haltbaren Eindruck
+ Mechanische Pfeiltasten
+ Vielseitig einsetzbar, wobei ich diesen nur am PC nutze und auch dafr am besten finde
+ Firmware kann man entsprechend updaten
+ Top fr Mortal Combat und Street Fighter, aber sicher auch viele andere Games im Genre
– Leider kein SOCD mehr. Laut Internet gab es das Feature in einer lteren Firmware. Das habe ich aber
noch nicht testen und finden knnen. Das ist schade und daher 1 Stern Abzug. Denn es ist nochmal ein
echter Mehrwert, wenn SOCD untersttzt wird, aber auch ohne ist es kein Dealbreaker.
Wenn dieser Controller auch im langen Einsatz weiterhin so gut hlt wie jetzt die letzten Wochen, dann ist es auf alle Flle eine gute Empfehlung. Denn nicht jeder der nur ab und zu mal die Zeit und Lust hat eines der o.g. Spiele zu datteln, mchte oder kann gleich 3-400 fr Highend ausgeben. Es muss auch gute Optionen fr den gnstigeren Einstieg und Gelegenheitspieler geben und das erfllt meiner Erfahrung nach der PXN X8 auch echt gut. Wie gesagt, haben wir zuhause damit wirklich gut Spa und das Teil ist im regelmigen Einsatz. Die Haltrbarkeit stimmt bisher, aber wir gehen auch immer sehr gut mit unseren Sachen um, und Wissen Wert der Dinge die wir verwenden auch gut zu schtzen.
Well – I’m happy to report that PXN are well and truly off my naughty list!
I like to think of myself as somewhat of a connoisseur of cheap arcade sticks. Well – at least I’ve had a lot. And I have to say the best of them always feel just as good as the ones with parts made by ‘that company’. This one definitely belongs in the upper echelons.
For a start this has a decently wide base (most budget sticks are quite narrow). This makes quite a difference in use as the pad of your hand is sliding across a surface rather than dangling over a hard edge. Coupled with a rounded front edge this is a comfortable controller to use.
The ball top stick sits a little higher than I’m used to but is quite light and responsive and very accurate. I was surprised about that as it felt like an octagonal gate (I’m normally rubbish with those). Opening up the controller revealed there to be a basic circular gate! Maybe I’ve been missing out on this all along. Quick diagonals are a cinch.
The buttons have a fair bit of travel on them but don’t require much pressure at all and trigger around the halfway pressed mark. Due to the height of them there’s a bit more ‘surface wobble’ than I’d like – however this doesn’t impact use. Pressing the edge of the buttons triggers it just as well as a centre press (so a quick psych burst in Guilty Gear Strive can always be triggered even when panicking!).
In terms of modding – the buttons are standard size are well wired with connectors (I’ve seen many soldered directly at this price). The base is quite low so a replacement stick would need to be low profile.
The biggest draw here though is the fact that it works with so many consoles. Obviously it works with PC but it also works on PS3 and Switch straight out of the box. To use with Xbox One and PS4 you need to plug in a native joypad to use passthrough for the arcade stick to be picked up. One note here – on Xbox One I did try a third party controller first but this wasn’t able to get the connection going. Plugging in an official Xbox One controller got the arcade stick working fine.
One system I see PXN has missed off the list is Xbox 360. Yes – it does work too! BUT you need a wired 360 controller for this to work. As these weren’t very common I can see why they haven’t pushed that feature. Plus it’s 18 years later…
So this is a definite 5 star arcade stick for me. Is it as good as a 300 top end job? I’ve no idea – I’ll never buy one of those. All I know is it’s the best I’ve tried so far within my type of budget!
Firstly, and may be most importantly, this works absolutely brilliantly on an Xbox Series X. Although not listed as working in the description, the instructions do give you setup details. Fully tested and working after the recent change in peripherals, which made a lot of third party sticks stop working.
Included is the arcade stick itself (with button labels for Xbox and PS layouts)
You connect to the console via USB. There’s then an additional USB cable which you connect to the consoles controller. The stick won’t register until you do this. You then have full control via the standard control, plus the arcade stick.
Great responsiveness and it works almost flawlessly.
I’ve set this up to use directly with a retroPi setup, which is plug and play via USB. Perfect for retro street fighter and MK matches.

I set it up with MAME to play various titles, from Pac-Man, through to Metal Slug and, of course, Street Fighter 2, and I had a great time with it. The controls are better than those on my genuine 1990s arcade cabinet. The joystick, in particular, feels just right.
The unit itself is solid and sits nicely on the desk. Rubber rings on the bottom prevent it from slipping around. The box claims that this is compatible with the Xbox One and Series consoles. However, I wasn’t able to get this to work on my Series X, so I’m assuming that the mention on the box was in error.
I also tried it with WinUAE, and it was fantastic to be able to map buttons to key or joystick inputs (e.g. setting a button to ‘joystick up’ so that I didn’t have to use up to jump in platformers). For anyone else setting this stick up in WinUAE, I offer this list of button mappings, that I discovered through trial and error. You can use this list to set-up the buttons properly in the input settings.
