How To Connect EachPart?

Fuse Tap Cable:

1. Pull out the original fuse you need at the car’s fuse box.

2. Insert the original fuse into the slot on the adapter. If the car fuse does not match the slot, please use our 7.5A fuse.

3. Insert the Range Tour 2A fuse into the other slot.

4. Select an interface that matches the automotive fuse socket(Mini/ATO/Micro/Micro2).

5. Connect the Fuse Tap Cable to the Red Wire

Red Wire:

Plug the connected Red Wire to the location where the fuse was removed from the car.

Black Wire(Ground Wire):

Connect the black wire to any metal part of the car(negative pole). Usually, there would be a bolt around used as a ground terminal.

Note:

Installation may require professional assistance. If you are unsure of the circuit system we advise that you hire a professional to do it.

Purchased 2 of these to power VIOFO A129 Plus Duo dash cams in a 2017 Mazda 2 and a 2018 Mazda 6. Cables are easy to install and come with a universal fuse tap with adaptors for nearly all fuse boxes. Plenty of cable length and seems good quality. Unfortunately one of them appears to be faulty but the other one works perfectly fine so as an individual product I am more than happy with the purchase. Only negative is that the fuse tap only just fits into the fuse socket, it could do with being a little bit longer as it does sit loose and can be easily pulled out by accident.

This is my second tracker, the first (a 2G model) served me well for c3 years but stopped holding a battery charge. Not a huge issue, I consider the 3 years working service I had good value for the price paid.

I wanted a new tracker, using the same app, and opted for the 4G variant as I expect 2G will be phased out in the UK in the not so distant future.

Came with clear set up instructions, was easy to set up. Did need to get a little support due to replacing an existing tracker ID on the app account, support from Ada (over WhatsApp) was timely and very helpful.

I’ve also hardwired the new tracker to my 12v supply using a cheap 12v~5v converter, so no need to charge every couple of months.

Reading reviews can sometimes be problematic. I wondered whether I had made the right choice with this one. However it works and did not take too long to get a neat installation. The only thing that was slightly difficult was inserting the fuse tap into the passenger fuse box (a ACS Mini fuse). However with a little patience it went in and all is now working well.

This kit has pretty much all you will need to wire in a dashcam or other similar accessory and it includes an in-line 12v to 5v at 1.5A which ill power any USB device. The fitted plug is an angled mini USB and you also get a micro and type C usb plug which will cater for most devices. The adapter supplied allows you to piggy back a fuse holder into your existing fuse panel which makes a neat job and also maintains fuse protection for the circuits. A range of adapters are supplied for different fuse panel sizes as well as having longer pins to lift the adapter above any obstructions if needs be. Also supplied is a trim removal tool, a couple of cable tidies and even a small screwdriver, it has around 4m of cable as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Installation kit with plenty of options as to how you connect a Dash Cam or other accessory.

Everything you need to hardwire your dash cam. I have mine on a lighter plug at present, so going to use this kit to make it more stable and pleasing to the eye. Must use the 2A fuse on the ACC line for the dashcam to make sure it only provides power when your ignition key is turned on.
Very simple to set up, just find your best rooute. Also comes with adapters for different cam models power connection.

    CONCLUSION:
An affordable way to do a quick job yourself if you’re fit and able, and a massive saving too.
