Mesh gate retracts out of the way
This mesh gate is convenient. It takes up less space than the traditional type, and retracts out of the way when not in use. It is soft, which has its pluses and minuses: You do need to secure it to your wall (semi-permanently).
It is not going to contain a pet or child that is determined to get through, yet it does provide a barrier that holds well. It won’t come crashing down, making noise and potentially whacking someone. You can see through it, yet not so clearly as a metal/wood gate.
I really like the way it retracts out of the way and does not need a bottom track to function, as this allows for mobility devices to be used more easily in the house. It also allows for good airflow, while providing a bit of privacy. It is easy to open and close. And it is sturdy. It works well.

The safety gate retracts easily with a push of a button and securely stays put when open, keeping kids and pets from passing. This is by far the best type of gate you could get. No doors open and in the way, it looks cleaner and out of the way. Also if you have a robot vacuum, this gate doesn't interfere. It's easy to install in any door frame, and is super sturdy. Love it. If you've got animals or children, I'd recommend this gate!

Installing this stair gate took a bit of time and figuring out the instructions was a bit of a puzzle but once it was up, it's been a great for keeping our furry friends out of the kitchen. The one hand operation is super convenient, especially when you've got your hands full. Its sturdy construction gives us peace of mind, knowing our leftovers are safe and secure lol. Would absolutely recommend!

Baby/pet gate
We travel in a motorhome with 2 cats. One of the cats is great at night, one like to walk on our heads. There is no door to the bedroom in the RV so I installed this gate as a deterrent to nighttime walkabouts.
The reason I got THIS particular gate is that it’s easy to remove when it’s not needed like when driving or during the waking hours. You simply install two clips on the wall for the gate and two hooks on the other wall for the hooks that the gate latches onto. The gate has a locking mechanism on tom that keeps it from opening or closing until you want it to. The material is like a heavy shade cloth. It is sturdy and allows for airflow. The hardware included should work in most instances, But since I was mounting to thin hollow walls, I bought appropriate bolts and Nylock nuts to keep them in place. Works great! It comes with two sets of hardware so that you can move it to where you need it. At less than $50 right now it’s a great value! Love it.

She got a wide one which spanned a 8ft gap easily and liked the mesh so much, she wanted to get another. This one isn't as wide as the other one, but the mesh is nice since you can see what's going on behind it, and if your kid or baby falls into it, they won't get hurt. We had our old car get stuck in the traditional bar one, which was kind of hilarious at the time, but yea, trying to get a stuck cat with claws out of a baby gate is no fun. The install was pretty straightforward, although i over-tightened a screw on one of the mounting brackets and it cracked, so just be aware of that. The gate I received had another set of hardware, so that was handy. i ordered this in feb and had to wait a month or so for the snow to melt to install it outside so its only been up a little while but so far the mechanism seems to be holding up just fine.

Install was fairly easy and I like that it is retractable when not in used. It is possible for a small dog or child to push through the flexible bottom edge depending on install with the size of your baseboards. Good option for doorways you want to block off or bottom of the stair installation I personally wouldn’t use it at the top of a set of stairs.

Easy to install. Good quality with simple operation. I like the neutral color to blend in with most decor. Caution if you have an active smaller pet to watch for a houdini-like maneuver to end up on the other side of the gate. I was mindful of this and didn’t have any issue upon a simple correction with my pet. She listens well … This sure is a game changer and peace of mind for our household!

This gate was easy to install and the locking mechanism is simple to operate. But keep in mind with all of these mesh type barriers, if you have a small enough dog (or baby) it is possible for them to get under the flexible bottom edge. With that being said, I found this gate to work well to keep out larger dog contained and I really liked the width of this gate which should fit most openings
Check to see what kind of baseboard trim you have, as it will interfere with how you set up the gate unless you add a top spacer. My floors only have about a 1" rounded trim so I was able to install this pretty low to the ground, I think any higher and my pet would be able to actually force their way under the gate.

Easy to install gate
This gate is awesome! Incredibly easy to install, I personally did it in 9 minutes flat all by myself. I did use a drill for quick installation. I like that you can use it in larger doorframes if necessary and you aren’t limited to specific frame sizing. The mesh is nice and superbly durable so you can semi see through it in case littles are up to no good. Works well with our Siberian husky also.
My only debate with this gate is that I wish the bottom strip that goes across maybe had a hard bar – because my three year old Houdini has managed to figure out how to slide under it feet first!
