Gran descubrimiento
Una maravilla, la manta en invierno me mantuvo las plantas a una temperatura constante y las luces hicieron su trabajo haciendo que crecieran muy rpido, estoy sper contento adems gustan muy poca luz
99% of the seeds popped out!
Very nice product and very effective. Whatever seeds I put in the boxes were germinated in a matter of days.
The combination of the heating mat along with the LED lights on top and the closed canopy did the work very very well.
I would definitely recommend
Lavender seeds are very difficult to germinate. I wasn’t sure I could pull it off, but these trays did great!
I’m glad I ordered the set that included the heating mat. It ensured the seeds sprouted in a cool room. The 5 trays fit nicely on the pad with one tray centered vertically with 2 trays placed horizontally on either side.
The trays and covers are plastic, but they are durable enough I should get quite a few seasons of sprouted seeds. They are a great value for the price!
The light duration is programmable. I set them to run for 12 hours (red setting) and they stuck to the schedule.
I did have an issue with the lights, but I contacted the seller and they were quick to respond to my inquiry. The issue was solved immediately.
You can order from YAUNGEL with confidence. They are a great team!
Works well
The Seed Starter Tray with Grow Light is great for starting seeds indoors. It’s easy to use and promotes healthy growth, but the light may not be strong enough for all plants. Overall, it’s a handy tool for indoor gardening.
Klein, praktisch und gu
Fr Tomaten ein Traum bis zum pikieren
Licht ist super
Leider kann man es nicht mit Zeitsteuerung betreiben, da man es immer per Hand am Kabelschalter anmachen muss
Wre sonst ideal
Die Heizung hat ordentlich Powe
Good grow light ki
As an avid gardener, I’ve had the opportunity to use the YAUNGEL Seed Starter Tray with Grow Light, and it’s been a game-changer for my seedling process. The kit comes with five trays, each equipped with its own heat mat and adjustable grow light, which is fantastic for creating the perfect environment for different types of seeds.
The timing controller is a standout feature, allowing me to set the lights to turn on and off automatically, mimicking natural daylight cycles. The adjustable brightness is also a plus, as I can intensify the light for sun-loving seedlings or dim it for those that prefer indirect light.
The trays themselves are sturdy and the heightened lids with humidity domes are perfect for maintaining the right moisture level. I’ve noticed my seedlings seem to thrive better in this controlled environment, showing robust growth.
One minor drawback is the plastic quality of the green tray bases; they’re a bit on the thinner side and can flex, which means you need to handle them carefully when moving the trays around1. However, the transparent cellular trays that hold the soil and seedlings are quite durable.
Overall, the YAUNGEL Seed Starter Tray with Grow Light kit is a solid investment for any gardener looking to give their seedlings the best start in life. It’s user-friendly, efficient, and from my experience, it certainly helps in producing healthy, vigorous pla
This is a great purchase. Great for a small set up. Lights have a built in timer. Kids vent well enough to prevent excessive moisture buildup. The heat mat is ideal for pepper seeds. I also used it for eggplant seeds. Nice even temperature for seed starting. The red/blue light combo provided just the right light necessary and seedlings did not stretch. I’m a retired horticulture professional and bought this in a lark to see if was effective. This set up worked surprisingly well. I purchased another brand at the same time to compare. This was the better of them, by far.

Ready Steady Grow
Bought this for my nephews birthday . I have opened it , to check that it’s all OK. Fitted the vent and lighting discs into the clear domes . Tested the USB powered L.E.D’s. Set timer . Each time duration has a different colour on the in-line control and lights can be dimmed , all nice and easy . Tried the heater mat which is mains powered . The 3 pin plug is very tight to pull out of socket , but not a real problem, and works well . The trays and cover domes seem sturdy enough . Comes with small Dibber and Widger tools and labels . The little instruction manual is very good . I’m impressed with this nice kit , happy to give it .

Grow trays
I have been reluctant to purchase one of these for years, but I have struggled last couple of years with getting seeds to grow. So this year after failing on quite a few seeds I purchased one, and within days the seeds were coming up.
It is good that you get both a heat mat and light grow trays, as you can bring things on at different stages.
I might purchase another one at some point in future.
These are fantastic
Great product at a great price. It does exactly what you want it to do. My seedlings are healthy and took no time to sprout. So much so I normally plant excess as they can die but this year I have all healthy plants maybe too much for one person lol. Heated mat doubles up for my kombucha kefir and sourdough so added bonus during the cold months.
Impressive germination! Wish the mat had a timer like the LEDs
I normally grow chillies, and after very leggy growth from starting on New Year’s day last year, this year I decided to start them at the beginning of March. I also went ahead and planned some red onion sets.
I really like that the seed trays come with perfectly fitting trays to sit them in and catch excess water. It is these that the clear domes sit on top of, providing a good deal of growing height for seedlings. The LEDs snap into a section on top of the domes, and rotate around to open ventilation holes. Having the holes open does not block the LEDs, so you can have them open all of the time. The 5 trays fit snugly on the heating mat.
The timer function for the LEDS is very handy! But so far for me the heat mat is the standout. In 1 week of use, I’ve had good chilli pepper germination, and a number of onion sets have already started putting out growth. It’s now over to the LEDs to prove that they can prevent leggy growth. I set up the heat mat on a baking cooling tray to protect my kitchen work surface, and it has worked perfectly!
Although I really like the heat mat, this is where my criticisms come in. I wish the heat mat also had a timer, like the LEDs do. I think it’s working a little too well by having it running all the time, and my seedlings might get too used to the constant warmth that in general, my home can’t emulate at this time of year. The plug for the heat mat, which is separate to the LEDS, is very small and stiff. Unplugging it is a bit of a challenge, so a built in timer would be great. I have had to plug it in to a plug timer, then plug that into the mains.
Overall, I think this is a really great bit of kit. The seed trays all feel decent quality, and the initial germination results are very impressive. I hope the LEDs are enough to sustain healthy growth!
perfect for early seed propagatio
Liked this product, all lids, bases and soil holders are sturdy, fitting the LEDs is super easy to fit and the different timers are very helpful the Heat mat gives a better germination rate in not so sunny window positions.
Just put it together! Seems very sturdy ( for the price!) Nice and compact one more tray to fill
Going to try the heated pad when finished to prove my bread ! Only 4 stars yet as not had it long enough !
Everything you need to propagate seeds efficiently
This is a comprehensive set of equipment to propagate seeds. Everything comes in a neat package and comprises
– one warming mat with integrated cable and 230V plug
– five containers each with a separate seed tray and clear plastic lid with adjustable vent
– a full set of LED lights with cables (but requires a USB supply – not included).
The instruction manual provided is brief but adequate.
The only concern was that the 230V plug has no fuse. Whilst the warming mat gets barely warm, certainly no hotter than human temperature, it is therefore very low current but, to alleviate my concerns regarding any possibility of a short circuit or uncontrolled over heating, I fitted the plug to a 3A fused adapter.
Setting up for propagating seeds is straightforward by following the instructions. I chose as a first attempt to use lettuce and tomato seeds. I would not normally start so early in the year but I was pleasantly surprised to find the lettuce seeds had germinated in 4 days on the warming mat and the tomatoes shortly after. In fact, they had grown so fast in the darkness (seeds don’t need light to germinate) that I had to connect the LED lights to stop the leggy growth. The photo shows the lettuce sprouting before the lights were used.
The warming mat works extremely well and, coupled with the lid over the seed tray (with vent fully closed), the moisture within did not evaporate thus providing the nice, humid atmosphere that young plants need to thrive.
With this equipment I will be ahead of my normal schedule for spring seed germination hence it gets five stars.
Great value ki
Everything you need to get your seeds started. All germinated well in the heat including chillis and the seedlings are good and sturdy not leggy due to the lights very pleased
Seems well designed
It’s difficult to give a full review for this as it is too early in the season to start any of my seeds – so I have thoroughly examined this kit to make my best assessment of it.
The heat mat is robust and well sized – you could put it on a deep windowsill if that’s the space you have, or on a table or shelf. It does get warm, as you would expect, on both sides so you need it on a surface that can withstand gentle heat. I have a dedicated rack for my seed trays but if you were putting it on a painted surface, for example, I would heed the manufacturer’s advice about putting some insulation underneath the mat. Silicone mats would work well I think. The mat has a lot of very useful instructions and guidance printed on it permanently – this will prove very useful in a year or two’s time as I will inevitably lose the box and instructions.
Each seed tray has its own little grow light, which you can turn on and off independently of the rest by unplugging or plugging in. This means that you are not wasting electricity lighting an empty tray, for example. It is also useful to have the timer, so you can manage the heat and light relative to the needs of your particular plants and the conditions around the trays. Some seeds like almost round-the-clock heat and/or light, while others do better with defined periods of cool and darkness alternating with heat and light.
There are different levels of heat on offer, and in theory, these allow you to adjust to the needs of different plants. I am too much of a novice to know which seeds like more or less heat, but this kit has prompted me to find out! Because it is too early to actually start any seeds, I haven’t been able to experiment with how much difference it makes that you can adjust the heat. Note that the mat isn’t zoned, it is one heat setting at a time for the whole thing, so I imagine that I would be likely to use the lowest setting most of the time as I will raise a variety of seeds in the different trays.
Again, I haven’t been able to test how quickly the seeds germinate and grow, nor how easy it is to get seedlings out of the trays when it’s time to pot them on or plant them out. But the trays look well made and have some flex in them, and the lids fit well. In theory, this looks like a useful set that combines a lot of functions and will work well.
Everything you need to get your seedlings started on your windowsill
This is a great set that contains everything you’ll need to get your seedlings started to put into the garden when it is warm enough.
It even comes with a growing light which is amazing.
The quality of the trays and lights are very good and all of the equipment is easy to use.
I am very happy with this gardening set and I gladly recommend it to you.
Ready to start your seeds indoors for a perfectly timed transplant straight to the garden beds? Well TA-DAAAA, look no further!
This little indoor kit is everything and more! I’ve paired my kit with coconut coir as a seed starter, and let me tell you, germination rates were through the roof and the little seedlings are thriving.
Pros:
– Comes with 5 seed containers, each with 12 cells.
– No real ‘setup’, it’s all plug and play in the location of your choice.
– Includes the cells, heat mat AND grow lights.
– Creates a thriving, humid environment for your precious little seedlings
– Control the humidity with convenient dials to allow airflow or keep it sealed.
– Comes with cute little tools, and name stakes.
Cons:
– The pack comes with 5 trays but the mat can only fit 4. Having a spare tray is nice, but I’d rather fit 5 across!
– The tray lids don’t actually ‘snap’ on to secure. They just balance and are easily upset.
– The grow light cable is USB, which I find a bit odd. But you just need a USB adapter for the wall and you’re good to go.
Still 5* stars though, because the value far exceeds the price-tag here!!
I will 100% be purchasing at least 2 more kits.
Super little ki
This kit has exceeded expectations! Well-made, easily assembled and everything I need. Heat, light, a decent – ventilated – enclosure. Fab. The only issue I can see with it would be longevity – if the plastic degrades too quickly over time, or some other issue, I will revise this review accordingly. Until then, it is a definite and clear 5 star fab buy. My veggies are getting an earlier start this year! Yippeee!
I’m very impressed with this seed starter kit – you get quite a lot for your money! 5 seed trays, with covers (complete with LEDs although you do have to put them in yourself), heat pad, tools and plastic labels.
I was concerned that you had to pop the LED lights into the top of the plastic cover, as I can be heavy-handed and they’re only plastic, but by supporting the plastic where you’re putting the strain, it’s surprisingly easy. The same for when you insert the cables into the LEDs, support the plastic underneath and it doesn’t cause any damage to the plastic hood. Great start! They’re a good height too, so my larger seedlings like courgettes will get well established before I have to take them out. The only thing I’m not sure of yet is dealing with removing individual plants from the trays – some won’t germinate immediately so they’ll be at different stages, so I’m hoping the tools supplied will make it easier to remove individual seedlings (I’ll report back if I have issues!).
The lights are very effective and you can adjust the light level and set a timer. The only way you can choose which trays are lit is by having them plugged in, or not – you can’t switch them individually which is a shame. They don’t come with the plug either, just a USB so you will need the adapter yourself (I used a phone charger).
The heat pad produces a low level of constant heat – it’s not adjustable, which is a shame, but you can open the vents on the top of each box which will allow some cooler air in if needed. I feel you need to make sure it’s on something that accepts heat (such as a worktop). I wasn’t keen on the plug supplied with this heat mat, it’s tough to get into the electrical socket (I tried a couple of different ones) and it’s even worse trying to get them out! There’s not much to hold onto, so either there’s a knack I don’t yet have, or I need a little more patience! With planning you can get all 5 trays on the mat, but it’s tighter than I’d have imagined, but it does work so I’m happy all can get access to heat.#
I’ve marked down 1 star for the slight niggles but overall I think this is a smashing set and once we’re into the growing season, I’ll adjust my rating to 5 stars if these niggles are outweighed by the positives. Happy to recommend.
A useful kit for the keen gardene
As someone who has raised fruit, vegetables and flowers from seed for over 50 years I was happy to review this kit. There are five sets of seed trays, inserts (with 12 apertures) a heated mat, five lots of grow-lights and two strong plastic tools – a scoop, a dabber etc. It’s everything you need. Though it’s earlier than I would normally sow my seeds I’ve put in field maple and flag iris to try. It’s too early to see results, but the mat gives a gentle heat which is bound to be beneficial. It’s pointless using grow lights until germination has occurred but I put them on so I coukd try out the settings and timer, which work well. For early sowings this will be invaluable to prevent etiolation – leggy and drawn seedlings. The only downside is that you heed to have, or buy, an adaptor for the USB. You also need two sockets or a multisocket extension lead.
For the price I think this kit is excellent value and looks sturdy enough to last for years.
This seed tray kit is well made and once put together quite sturdy which is obviously a good thing.
The vent disks that house the leds snapped into place with a good positive click and rotated with ease, I also found it easy to remove as well.
The lighting is pretty basic but that is all we should need and I really liked that the connector for the leds is a USB C type so no having to put my glasses on to see which way round it plugs in.
The control for the leds has the on/off button, 4 different timers and dimmer buttons.
The heat mat looks sturdy as well and has good clear instruction which is nice to see. I did manage to fit all 5 seed trays on the mat but it could have done with being slightly bigger.
All in all well worth the 5 stars given and looking forward starting off our seedlings in the new year.
Looking forward to using this kit late winter/early spring to germinate seeds, including tomato, chilli and coriander. I like to start my tomatoes early as they have a long growing season, but there isn’t enough natural light in February and early March so the grow lights should be useful. I would have preferred a 15 hour daily cycle for the lights for maximum growth, will probably use the 18 hour cycle and turn off manually before going to bed. Plants do need a light-darkness period for respiration, so the lights will be off while I’m asleep. The growlight disks snap into the covers easily enough, and seem plenty bright for vigorous growth. Seedlings on window ledges often bend to the sunlight, and these overhead lights should encourage them to grow straight.
The cover is relatively tall, this is probably to set an appropriate distance between the lights and the seedlings and shouldn’t encourage us to leave them beyond 2 or 3 weeks and become too spindly.
The plastic tools, including labels, are a nice addition.
I hope to update this review when the seedlings start to show!
