Excellent bit if kit. Much more comfortable than the stock head strap that come with the Quest 3.
Battery is great as well. Played a few nights for 3 hours before the headset battery kicks in so getting approx 5 hours overall.
Decent strap
The strap itself it’s much more comfortable than the default strap and remains in place over long periods of time. I’ve not had to fiddle with the strap to re tighten it or adjust it in anyway while in use which is a huge improvement over the default strap which I found myself adjusting every few minutes.
One complaint I’d point out is that the velcro on the top strap that goes over the top of your head was detached from the strap itself (like the glue hadn’t held) Not a massive issue as it’s fine without the strap anyway and I can solve the issue with a dab of super glue to get it back on.
The battery does as advertised and extends game time by a decent amount (about 2 hours for heavy gaming)
The tightening mechanism is the same design as the pro strap from meta. It feels fine when you tighten it but on loosening it feels a bit clicky like it might break at any moment. Although it’s remained sturdy so far (I’ll update this if I have any issues in the future) Although once you have you have the strap in a comfortable position I found you don’t really need to adjust the strap at all you can just remove the headset and put it back on comfortably without any adjusting needed.
It’s certainly worth the upgrade over the base head strap.
I tried 4 different straps and this was the most comfortable.
i tried the bobo m3 pro, and another halo style strap, they all felt a bit bulky and not as comfortable as i would have liked, the 10000mah battery version was the most comfortable, i didn’t even need the centre strap to get a good fit. very happy with the fit.
Excellent Strap and Battery Set for Quest 3
I already had an upgraded strap for the Quest 3 (the stock strap it comes with is frankly terrible and needs to upgraded straightaway). When I saw this one, with the added bonus of a battery, I was keen to try it out.
The head set itself is well made and the colour is a perfect match to the Quest 3, so it blends in seamlessly. The back head rest isn’t quite as comfortable as my previous one but is good enough.
The battery adds extra weight to the back head rest, but this is actually a good thing as you feel a bit more ‘balanced’ with the weight of the Oculus itself.
A small USB C lead is included to run the battery power to the Oculus. This can also be used to charge the battery.
Overall, it’s an excellent upgrade and means I can keep playing for longer on one charge.
Really really good head strap works geat and very comfortable now long un-interupted play time!
This is a excellent quality rechargeable head set with lots of pro’s and only 1 con!!
The con first!
I found this a little awkward to assemble in parts and instructions hard to read! but this may just be me as wear glasses and do have arthritis in fingers and wrists!
The pro’s are A very good battery life, Once assembled easy to adjust and wear, fairly quick to charge, looks smart, very comfortable and you can play for a good long duration without interuption.
This is a good value for money head strap that should last a long time.
