Having used a Med-Fit Tens Machine for a long time, I was fed up of spending. ‘ on batteries
Every month more batteries for the landfill.
Then by an happy accident I stumbled upon a rechargeable Tens Machine, how long have these been a secret.
This is an excellent quality Tens Machine, please read the instructions, once you learn you are all set, it’s so easy to use, so many cycles to choose from, four adapter leads, you don’t have to use all four, you can just use two, it’s your preference, there’s a timer function up to 90 minutes which is great for night time users.

The Buttons you’ll need to know

Switching on – The Top button on the side press for a couple of second or switch on and off you go
The button under locks the machine, press again to unlock a padlock shows on your screen next to the battery icon.

    M is Modes –
    T is Timer
    + is Strength
    – is to Reduce
The middle button changes from A to B channels or both

You can’t hold the buttons down you have to press and click over and over, it would be good if you could just press and it takes you quicker to your chosen cycle. I choose option 4 or 15 I use level 20

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have read a lot of different reviews about different tens machines but decided to go with this one, and I’m happy I did.
For the size of the machine its great does what it’s supposed to do it has 24 functions and has 4 outlets so you can have upto 8 pads on you at any one time and the pads come in two different sizes they are not big big pads. You can choose between 10 – 90 mins for it to be on and it switches off once the time has run out .
I found it easy to use and it’s a great price. Before this one I had a different make which was quiet big and clumpy this one just fits nicely in your hand or your pocket .
It’s helped me with my back and the rest of my family use it .
Very Happy with my purchase .

Easy to use, I looked up the model number on the box to figure out the buttons, though most of them I already had, watched a few you tube videos to see how to use it, and so far I’ve used it three or four times, with two uses today. I’ve tried all the settings and most of them to the fullest intensity, or as near as I could bear. I find up to mid intensity that I feel virtually nothing but beyond that it has enough power for me. In fact some of the 24 different options are better than any massage I’ve ever had. I’ve used all the TENS and EMS settings and the range of different options is hard to believe, it’s that good. The only difficulty is fitting the pads on my lumbar region I.e. lower back / hips in that it’s hard to see as you’d need eyes in the back if your head but I’ve checked using the phone video camera and the bedroom mirror and you do need to know to place the pads diagonally and sufficiently spaced – rule if thumb is the spacing needs to equal the length of one pad from each other in a square across the area you want to work. I recommend research but it seems you can basically use it daily as much as you want

But there are safety considerations e.g. have you a pacemaker? And if in doubt give your doctor a shout.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersFirstly, a basic understanding of anatomy is really helpful when using a TENS machine. I read lots of reviews or hear people say that they don’t work, but if they aren’t correctly placed, relief will be minimal to none. There’s some really useful colour charts online to help with mapping the best place for the padsdon’t write off TENS machines immediately if you find it doesn’t help, as practice makes perfect.
For me, I’ve been using one for years, and have bought this one as an upgrade/replacement. I’m really impressed with the power, settings and small size of the unit. The level of pain relief it gives me avoids the use (and side effects of) the opioids I’m prescribed, and gives me the respite I need to relax. I have a genetic disability with a chronic pain chaserso having this unit in my tool kit for regular use is indeed money well spent.
Remember though ppla tiny bit of research about where to put the pads really helps.
I’m medically trained and have years of experience with these devices, but the instructions that come with it aren’t sufficient on their own for a newbie (in my opinion) I promise you though5 minutes on Google and you’ll have the basics down on which nerves you’re wanting to stimulate and where they are. Good luck

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis little gadget it’s really good! Helps a lot with my back and neck pain. I was quite sceptical at the beginning and spent a lot of time reading the reviews most importantly it wasn’t for me, it was for my friend who was suffering with really bad back pain and I thought it will help him. He only used it twice because he feels that sticking it on it’s not easy on your own and takes too much of a hassle.
Unfortunately you have to have someone to help to place the sticky’s on.
Bad point is that when you use them only 2-3 times they start to fall off because they can’t stick properly anymore. Also the wires are a bit of an issue when you have all of the sticks on your back and trying to get dressed with so many wires dangling down.
Definitely helps to relax your muscles and improve circulation.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI was advised to try a tens machine for lower back pain. I fairly often, about three or four times a year, seem to get a lower back muscle spasm that locks my back and I have to rest it for several days before I can bend over or sit comfortably again. I looked at several makes and than came across this Auvon model that seemed to be much cheaper than rivals but with just as much equipment and decent reviews and decided to try it.
I just did my back again and I have only used it for a few days but it has made a significant impact on my back and seems to speed up the recover time. With a fixed menu and everything controlled by a couple of buttons, it is very easy to use. As I said, it is well equipped with leads and pads, charges direct from a USB port and the battery lasts well and seems to do the job!
I can’t offer any view on the EMS side yet but it was a nice to have just in case.
My only criticism would be the manual is scant on detail and I went to a youtube video to see where it would be best to place the electrodes, but I would probably have checked out a couple of videos anyway.
    Very Happy with my purchase.

This is a great little TENS machine. My first experience of TENS was many years ago with a unit that took AA alkaline batteries, so the built in rechargeable battery instantly put this as a brilliant example of how to do it. The unit is compact (about the size of an iPhone 4S) and charges over MicroUSB (cable included). There are a number of different programmes/modes grouped by body part (i.e. shoulder, knees, back) that effectively equate to different stimulation patterns (I don’t think there would be any issue with using a back programme with a shoulder though). You are able to set your intensity, time and programme very easily with the buttons.

I’m yet to use it with the EMS function, but if the intensity of the TENS programmes are anything to go by it should give a pretty decent experience, although I think it is best to treat this as a predominantly analgesic tool as the pain relief functionality works really well.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersI love this TENS machine.. I have a bulging disc that is causing seriously bad sciatica.. I cannot sit or lay down for long before I am in agony with cramping nerve pain down my left side and getting out of bed is impossible due to the pain when trying to move. As my pain is widely spread all down my left side from my back to the ankle I thought I would try this AUVON TENS 4 output machine due to it having 4 outlets so I can spread the pads out. And it is brilliant! I can’t believe how much it has helped me. I have been using it for a month now and I use it as soon as I get into bed and throughout the night. And it helps get me off to sleep and eases the pains in the morning when I wake up so I can get out of bed much better.. I particularly like program 3 but there are 24 to chose from and you can have 2 different programs running at same time as the first 2 outlets allow you to do one program and the second 2 outlets lets you run another. It is so easy to use, I can operate it with my eyes closed now, which I do very often in the middle of the night! It’s as small as a mobile phone and the cables are long enough so can reach any part of the body without tugging. It has a locking function so you can’t accidentally power up too high as the highest setting is way above what I can take and the battery really lasts.
So as you can see I cannot praise this little machine enough. It really does help me. Having seen how happy I am with mine my partner has also brought himself one.

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing little machine! Buy one!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery easy to use. Clear, illustrated function selection. Wide selection of programs for all body areas and the display layout suggests programs in groups which may be best suited variously though not restricted to different body areas. For instance I’m finding that program 19 in the bench press group is very good at dealing with my knee pain, while program 23 in the running section is working well for targeted stimulation of torn rotator cuffs and soft tissue around the clavicle.
The lock feature is handy in case you fall asleep and enables additional use through the night.

Improvements I would suggest include quieter, better quality buttons with less travel, and the design itself is literally begging to have touch screen functionality.

Similar in looks to a mobile phone but lighter in weight. It’s a very portable device which can be used without the need to be fully stationary, so long as the pads stay attached. I kept mine on while in the garden, attached to my shoulder with no wires on show. Certainly made walking with a crutch noticeably easier.

I struggle with back and ankle problems and see a chiropractor, my mid back get’s stuck and in turn causes muscle problems. Often the muscular problem is delayed rather than instant, it can be triggered by activities such as exercise, DIY or lifting heavy objects it does not trouble me during the day but will suddenly be a problem at night! I don’t know if its linked but I also have restless ankles, again its more of a delayed issue. Even on a normal day without demanding actives I have these issues so most days it’s a problem.

Unfortunately its quite disruptive to my night’s sleep and for many years has meant getting as little of 3 hours a night sleep, also when I am asleep I very rarely get a deep sleep. I have tried many techniques before bedtime to try and relax my muscles to help with this, stretching, massage, ice, heat, foam rolling, trigger point and in all cases I can go to bed and feel comfortable for a short while but not long enough to get to sleep or will fall asleep and be woken up by it, at this point sometimes it can really annoy me as I just can’t get comfortable.

I’m surprised I took so long to try tens as I have tried most other things long before now, I really do find it help’s and provides a long enough lasting effect to allow me to get some sleep, occasionally I may wake up and need to use if on my ankles as I would not usually do anything on them before bedtime but then all I need is 5 minutes one pad on each ankle and it resolves them problem and makes them feel relaxed. I have found on my back its much more effective to leave it on one setting for the duration rather than keep changing, I have even fell asleep during the day with it on.

As far as the device itself, it feels sturdy, well made and of good quality, the screen is big and clear to understand and battery life is good. Having 4 outputs you could use up to 8 pads at a time, so far the first set of pads I have bee using I have used 30 times and they still feel sticky.

I have not tried EMS yet but intend to do so as potentially it could help train my core without the activities involved which give me the muscle problems at night.

If you are looking for a tens unit I would recommend as the quality for the price is good and you can extend the warranty by registering.
