I was surprised by this cream I use it on my face as I have sensitive dry skin and it does the trick and soothing and moisturising. I will for sure order it again.
I was so pleased to receive the the normal Aveeno in a tube rather than in a pump.!! The tube is so much easier to cope with and for travelling!!! Perhaps you could make it available in both the tube and pump!
I use this for tattoo aftercare and have never had an issue. The scent is pleasant and not noticable when rubbing in. Gives all day moistuer while I am at work. Swear by this stuff – 10/10
I have itchy skin so this works wonders. Keeps my skin soft and smooth. Worth the purchase. Oaty smell but I cant use scented creams so a good buy and less expensive than in the shops. My go to cream.
I have suffered from the usual dry skin for some time now. I’ve been using this for two months now and feel my skin is much softer and less prone to dryness.
I already use Aveeno cream version but only for very dry, chapped parts like my hands or elbows. For my face though, the cream was too much and made the sebaceous filaments on my nose look even blacker. It got me worried about turning them to blackheads, so I decided to buy this for my face instead, and it didn’t fail to disappoint. It’s just light enough for my face not to worsen sebaceous filaments, plus it moisturises adequately without making skin feel sticky. I have eczema prone skin that would react to many facial products, but this one is completely fine on me – no skin irritation.
This lotion is absolutely great for my dry skin. On the first application it left my skin feeling soothed and hydrated. An added bonus is that it doesn’t possess a harsh perfume which left me assured that my skin wouldn’t be irritated by any nasty perfumes. Overall I loved it. The only down size I have is that the pump nozzle distribute the lotion very slowly, but I think this is just down to the consistency off the lotion as it’s very thick.

Now onto the reasoning behind the purchase…
I had a subtle rash for years that was located at the sides of my nose, a little on my nose and a little across my forehead. This rash would flare up and look blotchy and sore most days. I used different types of cream, including canesten prescribed by my gp, but for years to no avail would anything truly work properly. Sometimes they would help bring down the irritation and redness and clear up but it would quickly return again between a few days to a week later! I would be back to square one religiously trying to keep it at bay with the same creams. Was it a stress rash? Was it a bit of eczema? Was it something else? I have no idea.
Now for something mind blowing…
This past week I tried this aveeno moisturiser (and ordered an aveeno cream separately that has yet to arrive) and ever since I applied this product a few days ago it has cleared up my ‘rash’ on my face completely. I kid you not! Is it still early days? Yes, it is. However, it has worked completely different to what I have used previously and has very very quickly got rid of it with no sign of it returning at all.
My skin feels smooth and at this point I genuinely do not anticipate it returning as long as I keep using aveeno and then in stages slowly reduce the usage. I can already tell the difference.
Honestly, this product is fantastic!
Some people don’t like the smell. It doesn’t bother me at all. It’s faint and neutral, and I guess I can best describe it as sort of ‘waxy’. I guess that no perfume etc in the ingredients list means that this smells the way the ingredients smell naturally.
This is a great cream and a very good price. I have a friend who got this and other products in the range on prescription for really bad eczema, which started during pregnancy but has continued long after giving birth. She now just buys them herself as it’s cheaper than prescription charges, and she uses it on her little girl too.
I have tried at least 20 different moisturisers, from clinique to eucerin, and none of them work as well as this one.
During colder months, my skin becomes red and it feels tight and itchy. Applying moisturiser burns and irritates it more. But not this one! I think the oatmeal (and the lack of scent) really soothes irritation and if you use it consistently, it will get rid of redness and make your skin soft. The consistency is also just right and it absorbs minutes after application.
One thing to consider! If you are prone to break outs, make sure to use an exfoliator once a week, because this could clog some pores. Definitely not for oily skin! If you live in an extremely harsh climate (windier than Scotland), I would invest in something extra for your driest areas. I personally put on a dab of natural argan oil (from the pharmacy) before I go to bed during allergy season.
Overall, great for sensitive, very dry skin, cold temperatures. Worth every penny and more!
