Perfec
By far one of my favourite products I’ve bought for weaning my daughter! Easy to set up and use. For the steamer just fill the base with water, and push the middle button and it steams everything to perfection. The blender/ food processor is brilliant too! The blade comes out so well too so super easy to clea
Quite nice gadge
Nice gadget for steaming and blending. Cons:
Very little information in the manual about usage etc.
No option to turn off steaming mode when blending. Keeps steaming even when turning on blender,not very convenient.
Splashes out blended stuff out through the tiny gap for the steams on the lid of the blender.
Easy to use, helpful in the kitchen,but could be better. I guess price says it all,can’t get a perfect gadget for such a price.
This is an amazing product! I’ve used this for more than a month now and couldn’t be more happy with it. It’s pretty straight forward and cooks the food really well. I like how I can control the cosistency of my baby’s food and I really like how strong the blender is!
I have yet to try making rice and pasta but I’m sure it will be good!
It also fits really well in the kitchen as it’s not too bulky!
Very compact machine overall and doesn’t take up much space in a cupboard or on a worktop. Much smaller than using a separate steamer and blender to make baby meals.
The instructions are quite brief but the two functions are super easy to use. Just add the thing you’re cooking to the main steamer compartment or to the steamer basket then add the right amount of water to the steamer well and also the extra well above it if you’re cooking starchy foods like pasta or rice. You then press the button to turn the steamer on and it switches off automatically once the water level has gone low enough so it can never run dry. The well under the main steamer jug collects liquid from the cooking process so you can add it back to the cooked food for blending into a puree and avoid losing nutrients from vegetables.
The two parts of the machine actually have a decent capacity so you could definitely make a fair few meals for your little ones with this. I can easily cook enough pasta in the steamer to feed my 4 year old, 2 year old and 6 month old.
The parts are very easy to clean though I don’t think they’re dishwasher safe, but that isn’t an issue for me as I’d always clean things like this by hand anyway.
I like that you can use the blender even when the steamer is cooking if you’re doing a batch of meals to freeze or something like that.
It is an expensive addition to your kitchen but it’s so simple and easy to use that I think overall it’s a good investment if your time is at a premium, as it is with most parents, just because you can stick stuff to cook in the steamer and leave it on without worrying about it. Even if I just use it to make pasta or rice for the kids it’s a godsend as it’s essentially like a mini rice cooker that takes up a lot less kitchen space.
The lifetime guarantee is a good sign of the build quality of the machine and it would make an amazing gift to any new parents I think.
Good capacity
This babymoov nutribaby one is a great food prep machine that can be used for weaning babies. I’ve used many different things for making baby food over the years and this comes up there as one of the best.
One of my favourite things about this product is it’s capacity- it is large and you can make a big batch at a time- it’s Capacity is 2 litres : 1 x 1,300 ml cooking unit and 1 x 700 ml blending unit. Which is much easier than the tiny little tommee tippee blender I had years ago.
It is a 4-in-1 multi-purpose baby food processor: Steam cooks / Blends / Reheats & Defrosts and it is easy to use, there is one button for cooking and another button for blending. My only bug bear about this product is that the jugs are separate for cooking and blending, so you have to pour one to the other which adds time and washing, although the jugs are dishwasher safe.
It is a great way to cook as it retains the nutrients and it looks neat on the side, unless you are in the know you wouldn’t really look at it and think it is a baby related product.
What I will say though, is that there are other blenders etc on the market that do a very similar thing.
