Love bigjigs
Pet stacker
Completely wooden product which we love. However, it was quite stiff to pull the dog’s head out, The others were a bit smoother. It may ease over time but for this, it loses a star. My child cannot take it off or push it on. He still enjoyed playing with it and it is cute sitting on his shelf. The pieces are nice sizes for little hands to hold and control to place. Great for hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they place the pieces on.

Cute counting and motor skills puzzle
Nicely made puzzle board with cute little woodland animal faces. I like that this also encourages lesrning to could with each of the 4 having 1 to 4 pieces so the lottle can count them in to the nice easy puzzle board. Looks pretty too which is good. A little high priced but makes a nice gift.

Great for developing thinking and fine motor skills - Super cute too!
As a Nursery Practitioner, I am always delighted to be offered for review any toys or resources which I can share with the children in my 2 – 3 playroom. This lovely little wooden puzzle set in a woodland character theme will make a great addition to our Curiosity shelf. The puzzle is an indent puzzle, which means there is a silhouette guiding shape and wooden pieces to complete this. The puzzle features a bear, fox, rabbit and badger face which are very cute and well defined, in non-toxic paints. There is a numeracy element which encourages pre-maths ideas around number, as the faces are in a single piece, 2 parts, three parts and four. The indent board features a corresponding dot to guide how many parts will fill the space – 1 dot for the single part fox; 2 dots for the 2 part bear; 3 dots for the 3 part rabbit and 4 dots for the 4 part badger. Completing puzzles develops thinking skills and fine motor skills, and is one of the milestone markers for children in their development. This is a really lovely little puzzle set which would make a great gift, priced at 13.49.
Lovely puzzle
This puzzle is so lovely and cute and our toddler seems to enjoy it. It’s made from wood (which is always a bonus) and is really well made and great quality.
I love the way that each animal is split into the number of dots beneath them, e.g., 1 dot is one piece and 2 dots are two pieces and so on. It’s a very good to teach toddlers numbers and how to count.
It’s easy to use and perfect for little fingers too.
A nice puzzle se
This is a really nice and well-made first puzzle. The pieces are thick and really smooth. This would make a nice gift.
I like how each puzzle has slightly more pieces than the last. The badger was the trickiest and occasionally stumped my pre-schooler, who is good at puzzles. This is due to the markings causing confusion. My youngest (toddler) was able to do the two easiest without help.

A very nice jigsaw that just misses getting 5 stars. I think the pieces could have have numbers on them to count and the text for “One, Two, Three, Four” on the puzzle as well as the dots.

This is an excellent quality puzzle with a cute woodland animal theme/design. It’s very well made, and all the pieces feel strong and durable. There are no rough or sharp edges, and it’s perfect for little hands to hold and play with.
Overall, I’m thrilled with it and more than happy to recommend. It would also make a great gift.

Neat Wooden Animals Counting Jigsaw for Toddlers
This is an all wood toy, consisting of four animal faces and a wooden base. The first face is one piece, the second is in two pieces, the third in three pieces and the fourth in four pieces, totalling 10 pieces in all. The pieces fit into four shaped recesses in the base and you have to sort out what piece goes where. The wooden pieces are very well made and have a smooth painted finish.
Our two year old grand-daughter fitted the first three faces quickly but was a little confused by the two ears on the fourth face. I am sure she will sort it out soon.
We love the quality of this all wood toy. It is a simple jigsaw that is ideal for its target age group.

Beautifully made jigsaw puzzle for a young child — the pieces are made for little hands to hold and play with, and every surface is smooth, no sharp edges or pointy bits. The jigsaw is very colourful, and the pieces all fit together perfectly and easily slip into their slots on the board which shows the shape of the animal. The slots are marked with dots indicating the number of pieces needed to fill it: 1 dot for 1 piece = the fox, 2 dots for 2 pieces = the bear, 3 dots for 3 pieces = the rabbit, and 4 dots for 4 pieces = the badger. So, a child can learn – the names of the animals, the colours, to count up to 10 (there are 10 pieces in all), and some basic problem-solving, while having fun. An ideal opportunity to spend quality time with your child. It would make a great gift for a child — recommended age is 1yr and above.
Simple puzzle that increases in difficulty
This puzzle has a very simple design but is effective to teach hand eye coordination and even counting.
The puzzle is made of a wooden material and even the puzzle pieces are one and two so they are easier to hold a little hands.
On the bass where the puzzle pieces go there are number of dots to display how many pieces will make up the animal, for example the rabbit has three dots and has three pieces.
Colourful, well made wooden puzzle.
This arrived very well packaged with all the individual pieces wrapped in tissue paper in a nice sturdy box. My three year old grandson was visiting when this arrived and he was so excited by it, he has non verbal autism so uses a lot of gestures to express himself and he was waving his hands around with excitement every time another piece was unwrapped. Once all of the pieces were uncovered he managed to put it together in around ten minutes with very little help or prompting and because the pieces are nice and chunky he didn’t get frustrated once when trying to turn pieces round or remove them to try in a different spot.
The puzzle itself is beautifully made from wood and all edges are smooth, as previously mentioned the puzzle pieces are chunky and easy to manipulate. It was extremely well priced for the quality and play value of this.

Behind each character, the number of pieces required to assemble it is somewhat represented by a number of white dots on the board.
Very giftable and reasonably priced for the quality of the toy 13.49.

There are four animals (fox, bear, rabbit, badger) and each one is made up of a different number of pieces (one, two, three and four).
Good for encouraging numbers and also hand eye coordination.
This should last for quite a long time.

The Bigjigs Toys Woodland Counting Puzzle is an adorable puzzle for toddlers.
The puzzle is fantastic quality which is just as I expected from the brand. The woodland theme is cute and appealing to children and has four puzzles which are a fox, rabbit, bear and badger.
The four puzzles each have a different amount of pieces (from 1 to 4) which makes them a good option for babies or toddlers just starting to play with puzzles. The pieces are easy to grip and also match by colour for an easier way to help children learn where each piece goes on the board.
I like that behind each puzzle is a dot representing how many pieces there are so that they can be counted by young children but as there are already the pieces to count I wish that this was written in number form rather than dots. This would’ve been much more beneficial to help children learn a few numbers in a fun way.
This is still a very enjoyable puzzle though and it’s made really well. We are pleased with this woodland puzzle and it will provide little ones with many times of puzzling fun.
