What solar pump is right for my project?
Our solar water pumps are made for bird bath fountains, water features and small ponds.
If you need to create a bird bath fountain, my advice is to choose a 1.5W-4.5W pump. More powerful water pumps are suitable for small ponds and water features.
Does the whole solar panel need to have direct sunlight in order to work?
Solar panels are best in direct sunlight. But even on a cloudy day, our solar panels will often still provide some power to the pump, but the fountain will be weaker.
Can the solar pump run without water?
Our pumps are all dry-run protected. This means as soon as the water level gets too low they will automatically shut off. This prevents the pump from being damaged due to low water level.
Does this fountain have a kit with battery backup?
No. So the water pump will stop working at night. The birds need to rest at night, so we put the cost of making the batteries into upgrading the solar panels and water pumps. They will work well when you need them and rest at other times.

Nothing much to write Heading says it all really powerful if you want it for a small water feature I doubt you will get better than this Pump I was sceptic about the low price but Hey its great I would heartily recommend it to anyone, I am working on another feature in order to by anothe
Pros:
Works perfectly in the sun.
There is a sponge inside the filter that is removable for cleaning to stop gunge getting to the filter itself.
The solar panel comes with a stake to hold in the ground.
Cons:
The last solar fountain I purchased 3 years ago still blips even when the sun is not shining but this one doesn’t.
It’s neat, it’s petite, and it just suits my small wildlife pond to a tee !! Took very little effort to set it up, took longer to choose which rose to put on for the water effect LOL . Very happy with the purchase and for the cost, it’s great !!
This solar pump is a lot smaller than expected. I use this is my bird bath which is quite deep and it does work quite well on sunny days, less so on days when the sun isn’t out.
A nice little pump for a very small water feature.
I bought this to use in a small pond. I was surprised how small the pump is, it has a good pump rate. So good in fact that it draind my pond, as the fountain that I used was spraying water over the sides of the pond. I did say that I had a small pond but did not tale into account the fountain sray spread lol. I live in Wales so a sunny day is rare. When the instruction said it only works when the sun is strong enough they weren’t wrong. One rare sunny day and the pond was empty. Changed the position of the pump and fountain, just waiting for another sunny day. All in all its doing g what I wanted it to do. Arrived on time well packaged comes with instruction and extra fountain attachments.
Bought this to replace a sola panel from a waterfeatcher, unfortunately too small for the job. Rather then send it back I set it up in a birdbath, works really well.Just needs some sunshine now.
