Love this
Very impressed with this air fryer use it every day I like that the centre can slide out and then got a large oven to cook a chicken or roas
Never had an air fryer but I wanted one that did large oven items such as joints of meat and chickens. After a few trial and errors I now have the timer and temperature just right for my tastes. The controls at first seem a little daunting but after a little practice they are quite easy. I am very happy with my Breville air fryer A+
Perfect Air Frye
This air fryer comes well packaged to ensure its safe transit. When unpackaged you have a massive portable oven which is capable of perfectly cooking your delicacies in the healthiest and tastiest ways. Although the unit itself is large and therefore you need a decent amount of room to keep it out, the internal capacity featuring 11l is beyond the wildest dreams for most families at a relatively affordable price. It splits this capacity into 2 equal sections of size and features baskets and mesh shelves so you can fit everything in as best as possible in this space to make it most effective. I’m not convinced by some of the claims to fit a full chicken inside one of these sections but you can certainly fit a broken up chicken between both sides. You can set both sides to synchronise in cooking mode for both time, temperature and mode for simplicity of running and it’s a very simple set of buttons to control the output that you want. You can air fry, turbo crisp, bake, grill, roast and reheat and yet the end results are super tasty. I’ve found it’s more useful to use alternative silicone liners which make the trays easy to keep clean as they simply remove and go into the dishwasher but that’s a minor accessory not a necessity. I’ve been impressed generally about how much can fit into this air fryer and the low running costs (seems to be like running a microwave more than the oven and therefore much quicker) so it can be a cost saving purchase over time. Breville is a well known brand and it’s reliability I’m sure will be proven over time.
Brilliant Breville
Prior to getting this I was using two air fryers. I first got a Ninja Foodi Mini Oven/Airfryer which is great for what it is but you can only cook one thing at a time with it unless items can be separated on the same level and conveniently cooked at the same time and temperature — and nothing too big unless it’s wide and shallow like a pizza or tray of veggies for roasting or similar – so to go with it I got a more a standard air fryer with two deep side by side cooking zones that could be independently controlled which great.
Along comes this Breville and it basically provides the same functionality of those two combined in a single unit (it’s quite large in comparison but not massive). It’s a side by side dual zone air fryer with independently controllable zones which can be time synchronised to finish meals together. It’s brilliant. What makes this even better is the fact that the wall that divides the cooking zones can be removed to make on large zone! I can fit in a good sized bird or bake a large loaf or cake etc. I could not do either of these between the other two.
As well as the bucket style air fryer baskets you get a couple of small mesh and roasting trays for use either side of the wall, plus a big roasting tray — and also you get a large mesh tray which I think is only available with this Amazon supplied unit. There is even a storage compartment in the base of the unit to store all the trays. Everything I have eaten in the last couple of weeks has been cooked in this. It’s ace.
At 240 it might seem a bit expensive, and I think it is to be honest, which is why I give it four instead of five stars. But it is top quality kit. My old dual zone has been donated to one of my neighbours. I’ll keep the ninja for making toast which is the best thing it does.
Excellent large air fryer and support from Breville!
We bought this to sit along side our Daewoo 11 litre air fryer. While it’s capacity is similar, the Daewoo is taller and narrower so doing a roast chicken with potatoes around it isn’t possible.
Not only is this Breville more adaptable, it seems to cook quicker than the Daewoo too!
I put 2 sausages in each, on similar trays (I removed the middle partition of the Breville and used the large flat tray, and put the sausages in a 2 inch high tin sausages seem to cook better in those than on the mesh trays).
The trays were at the same height and the same temperature.
This Breville had cooked the sausages perfectly in less than 15 minutes, 5 minutes quicker than the Daewoo.
Yesterday I used the Breville to cook 2 pieces of battered fish, 10 vegan chicken style nuggets, 3 hash browns and 2 portions of of sweet potato fries.
All in the machine at the same time (of course, I had to start some things earlier than others).
It all came out absolutely perfect!
There’s no way I could have done all that in the Daewoo.
I’m waiting on a roasting tin that fits the machine (for those wondering, internlly it’s 24cm deep, Width of the trays is 31.5cm, and if you want a roasing tin to sit on the tray it can’t be any wider than 30cm otherwise the ledges the trays sit on with stop it going in.
The only thing this machine is missing, that my Daewoo does have, is a rotisserie. It would have been nice but i’m guessing a 31cm rotisserie would need a very strong motor, and if overloaded it could end up with a bent rotisserie bar.
The tray at the bottom for storing large trays is a nice touch.
It’s very easy to clean, the flat trays have a very good non-stick coating and the mesh trays are like like any others, a bit of a fiddle to clean but we have perforated baking sheets to cook on rather than the tray itself, that makes them a LOT easier to clean.
I pre-ordered this for 160 after a voucher code and for that price I’m extremely happy with it.
Anything under 200 and I’d call it a bargain.
On top of that, I was actually missing the small mesh trays. While some may consider that a reason to take away 1 star (or even more), I contacted Breville on their site and the replacement trays were in the post 2 days later (with a couple of emails between the days to keep me updated on the progress).
Superb service so makes up for any stars it would have lost from the trays being missing in the first place.
Large cooking compartments
Fantastic large multi function air fryer, 11litre capacity for all your cooking needs, the compartments split into two alowowing you to cook at different temperatures and time it so both compartments will finish and be ready at same time, clear digital touch screen, pre set cooking options, lots of baskets and tray accessories all of which are dishwasher safe, this has the ability to do everything a full size cooker can and more, quite expensive but it is a great oven/air fryer.
Versatile fryer for complete meals
After owning a small volume 4L air fryer from a different brand, we were looking forward to the upgrade as we tended to use our little fryer frequently but found it rather limiting as you can only really do a portion of chips or a few fish fingers at a time. With the Halo Flexi air fryer we have been able to cook meals for a family of 4 in one hit! It has certainly made meals easier to cook and they taste great too.
The touch panel on the front is easy to understand and operate. Our old fryer had a preheat setting, but this one does not seem to need it. You are provided with some small mesh trays, a wide mesh tray, drip/roasting trays and 2 deep baskets with a detachable handle. The wide tray can be stowed in the bottom compartment but the rest cannot be stored. I think I would have preferred it if the storage section was removed and the unit was a few cm shorter as the unit is large enough as it is.
The Flexi fryer has two compartments that allow you to vary the heating zones depending on what you want to cook. You can even remove the middle section to cook a whole chicken under one setting. Our favourite configuration is with the two compartments for a large portion of chips on one side and then burgers on the other, for example.
The deep tray is ideal for cooking a large portion of chips in one section but we think it would have been better if Breville offered shallower baskets or one wide shallow basket to straddle the two sections so that you can crisp the chips more efficiently. The deep tray is great but we found that we needed to shake the chips frequently to get them crisped evenly. If additional wide trays were made available that would enhance the setup even more and would be a must-buy for us.
Overall, the Halo Flexi Fryer is a brilliant unit that cooks easily and efficiently. It really is an alternative to the oven for us and will save us on bills in the long term. We would have liked shallower baskets for better crisping of fries and if the unit was slightly smaller (shorter at least if storage compartment was removed) it would have made this product even better.
Fantastic bit of kit for your kitchen!
I absolutely love this product!!!! It looks lovely, it’s versatile and so easy to use and clean. I love this ‘Amazon Special’ with the added accessories which can be stored ‘on board’. The size is great and you could easily survive with this as your only cooking aid- like yes; this could replace your oven and microwave. Reheating pizza- the pizza tastes like it’s just been made. Chips cooked in here are so tasty. I read reviews on this and the Ninja double version and this came out on top. The Ninja one is not as versatile as this I don’t believe. I do hope I have many many years with this product. It’s cheaper than the Ninja version and I think looks more sleek.
Game changer for home cooking!
This Breville air fryer is seriously a game-changer in the kitchen! I was really impressed when I finally tested it out and it didn’t disappoint.
The first thing that struck me was the massive 11L capacity. You can remove the middle partition to create one large compartment so you can easily cook a full family portion of fries, roasted potatoes, or even a small chicken all at once. No more having to work in small batches with tiny air fryer baskets.
And the food comes out with such an amazing crispy, fried texture without any oily greasiness. The dual airflow system circulates the hot air perfectly for even crisping. Even leftovers get revived and crisped up beautifully.
What’s also great is all the different cooking functions beyond just air frying. You can bake, grill, roast, dehydrate.
The digital controls make it super user-friendly too. Just dial in what you’re cooking and it sets the recommended temp and time. The mesh tray and basket are well-constructed and slide smoothly.
The only potential downside is it does take up a good amount of counter space since it’s quite large. But for a household that will use it frequently, the bigger capacity is totally worth it.
I’m so impressed with how much time and effort it’s saved me in the kitchen already. Plus Breville claims it will save me 65 a year on energy bills compared to a regular oven. You really can’t go wrong with this air fryer if you want crispy “fried” food without the grease and oil. You can buy cheaper air fryers but ultimately you get what you pay for and this is well worth the money.
Ideal for cooking multiple items, but not large amounts
This couldn’t have arrived at a better time – my main oven stopped working the same day!
I got this because my older kids cook their own food now, so I needed something simple and quick for more than one to use at the same time.
This oven has 2 sides that can cook at different temperatures and times, they can be synced to be ready at the same time or you can have one larger compartment to cook larger items in. Each side can use 2 trays, although they are not huge, they are enough for single portions or maybe 2 large chicken breasts on each tray.
My son tried chips in the larger basket – they all cooked thoroughly, even the underneath ones – it does beep half way through the cooking time to tell you to flip/shake your food which is a great touch. If you don’t shake the chips half way through, those on the top get slightly more done than the rest.
I think I’d struggle to cook a meal for my large family in this, but that’s a rare occasion anyway – the main point was for 2 kids to be able to cook at the same time and it does that.
The digital display is very responsive – just make sure you’ve ‘clicked’ the doors shut first or it won’t work. There are plenty of pre-set buttons which help, and the manual settings are just as easy to use.
This is ideal for my large family, and the kids love it.
I adore this air-fryer! It very easy to use, surprisingly quiet and incredibly versatile.
This air-fryer really sets itself apart from the usual in that it can be used more like a standard oven than others, it has baking trays and baskets which are completely separate to the actual unit, which is a much better system than having a single basket which makes up part of the unit. It makes it far easier to use and clean, and gives many more options on how to cook your food, that’s expanded even further by being able to remove the middle partition so I can use it as one large fryer or as two separate sides. I really like that it’s tall enough that you can use two small trays per side, and they sit in slots built into the sides, as do the larger trays when you remove the middle partition.
Another really thoughtful design feature is that it has a storage draw at the bottom so the trays/shallow baskets can be stored safely away when not in use. It comes with 2x small baking trays, 2x small shallow baskets, 2x small standard air-fryer baskets, plus a large baking tray and a large shallow basket, which gives me so many options, far beyond a standard air-fryer. The standard air-fryer baskets have a removable gandle with a heatproof silicone coating which slots into a cradle and feel realy secure. I love that there are settings preset for things like fries or steak, it saves me time so I can just hit the preset button and crack on. I also love that I can fry, bake, grill and more using one machine. There’s also a light within the fryer which can be turned on or off manually which I love, and you can either use each side independently or sync them up.
Overall I think this is a fabulous product, it’s versatile, easy to use, great value for money, easy to clean and thoughtfully designed. I’d 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a multiuse air-fryer. 10/10!
I finally jumped on the airfryer wagon and thought I would give it a go as I do shift work and my diet is terrible, most if the time I either don’t eat or I live on tea and toast. So I unboxed and I cooked my husband steak and chips in 10 minutes and the whole time I just stood there in amazement! I seriously cannot believe how fast it cooked and how easy it was. Long gone are the days of slaving over the cooker! Now I will buy an airfryer book to learn how to get as much out of this thing as I can. This one was neck and neck with a ninja but I liked the look of it and the storage of the trays underneath. I am so pleased with my purchase! Just need some of the cases to save on the washing up!
This was the third air fryer oven I have tried, I returned the previous two, but this one is OUTSTANDING.
I have used it for numerous things so far as I gain confidence in using an air fryer but my main MUST was finding one that could produce the perfect roast… especially roast potatoes – this one does it in spades! Potatoes remain crispy from oven to plate (whereas other two I tried would go soggy!).
So easy to clean and the drop-down drawer at the front for the trays is a brilliant idea.
I LOVE THIS AIR FRYER OVEN
