Camera Umbrella Hot Shoe with 360° Rotation Ball Head & Side Cold Shoe, Portable Weatherproof Photographic Umbrellas Protects Camcorder from Rain Snow Sunlight, Comes with Waterproof Drawstring Pouch

This product is definitely cool. Fits my camera well and seems like it will do the job. Haven’t had a chance to try it out in the actual rain yet but so far so good.

I stream my son's baseball games and regularly the sun COOKS my GoPro and causes it to shut down, thus missing out on big chunks of the games. I've made the switch to a mirrorless set-up and looking forward to trying it out this Spring, but adding this sweet umbrella is possibly what I'm most excited about. Call me ridiculous, but I cannot wait to see how much difference a little bit of shade makes, not to mention the times we get caught in the rain. Can't attest to the water resistance yet, but it's an umbrella, so...anyhow I'll check back in if the review needs amending.

I bought this to help me when I do sideline football photos. It’s actually surprisingly large…it covers my camera body (and my head when I’m shooting) well. I have a telephoto lens (70-200) and it does not cover that, but I use a camera rain cover for that (also purchased on Amazon). What I didn’t like about the rain cover is that in order for it to cover my camera body, it has to be placed in a way that makes it difficult to access the camera controls and/or lens for zooming. With this umbrella, I’m able to use the rain cover to just cover the lens up to the camera body, and then I fold it over and can access the controls, which are covered by the umbrella. I don’t think you’d be able to use it in a downpour, but it worked well for me in both a light and steady rain last week. I also think it would be caught in a strong wind, which could damage your flash mount, so I would avoid using it on windy days. But overall, I’m very happy with this purchase.
I am horribly light sensitive so when I came across this umbrella, I thought I would give it a try. Works perfectly in sunlight. It blocks sun from the back of the screen so I can see what I'm shooting. I love it!!

I saw this and just had to have it! I never knew they made such a thing but it is just what I need! I take tons of pics at sporting events for our high school and middle school teams and sometimes am just guessing at what I’m taking pictures of because of the sun glare. It’s hard to hold your camera steady while shielding your eyes from the sun. This is the perfect solution! I’m not sure how well it will do in rain due to the small size, but I think it’s perfect for sunny days! I have a Canon Rebel T7 and it fits great. I did have some issues tightening it enough to stay in place but I eventually got it. Overall, I am extremely satisfied and would definitely recommend!
