Small, versatile camera bag
This camera bag is perfect for my needs! The waterproof fabric and zippers give me peace of mind during unpredictable weather. I appreciate the adjustable interior compartments that keep my camera and lenses securely organized. The multiple carrying options make it super versatile; I’ve used it as a crossbody, sling, and even a waist pack.
comfy
This camera waist bag is exactly what I was looking for. Despite its sleek profile, it comfortably fits my NIKON P1000 and accessories. Plus, the tripod strap is a brilliant addition, allowing me to carry my tripod hands-free. The waterproof feature gives me peace of mind, whether I’m shooting in light rain or near water bodies. The padded waist strap makes it easy to carry for extended periods.
Great for Travel!
I’ve been carrying camera gear for quite some time, and finding a suitable bag that’s comfortable to carry has always been a challenge – especially in a small form factor. However, this camera waist bag has managed to address many of those concerns.
The capacity of the bag was the first thing I noticed. It comfortably fits a a Sony A6300 with a short lens, plus a telephoto or macro lens without feeling overcrowded. The array of pockets is particularly useful. Every item seems to have its place, from damp microfiber cloths in the stretchy net pocket to spare batteries and memory cards in the front mesh pockets. The weatherproof zippers are a thoughtful addition, especially for those of us who often shoot outdoors.
Wearing the bag has been comfortable. Its design allows it to sit snugly around the waist, preventing the bag from swinging around, which is a common issue with square bags. The waistband is adjustable and includes a quick-release clip, accommodating a wide range of body sizes.
While the price might be high for some, 29.99 for me seems fair – and this protection makes it a worthy investment for kit that can cost upwards of 500! For photographers looking for a functional and protective way to carry their gear, this bag is certainly worth considering.
For on the go photographers
Ideal for on-the-move photographers. Currently priced at 39.99, this large, black camera waist bag is lightweight but of good quality.
It is quite big with good space for additional lenses and accessories. The space inside is adjustable with padded dividers.
It is waterproof to protect the accessories from wet weather or wet areas like waterfalls.
The bag is comfortable to wear around the waist. It has adjustable straps.
At 39.99, I find it a little overpriced but overall I would recommend it.
Durable but too small camera bag
This camera bag offers the protection and organization you need for your camera gear.
Made from waterproof fabric with waterproof zippers, this bag is resistant to dirt and easy to clean. The zippers ensure smooth operation and long-lasting durability.
Despite its small size, the camera bag offers plenty of storage options. It features one main compartment, two hidden side zipper pockets, one front pocket, and one back zipper pocket. The main compartment includes a detachable and adjustable partition, allowing you to customize the interior based on the size of your camera and accessories.
The camera bag offers multiple carrying methods, thanks to its adjustable strap. You can wear it as a crossbody camera bag, sling camera bag, waist camera bag, or travel camera bag, depending on your preference. The high-quality buckles ensure easy wearing and removal, providing durability and sturdiness.
The bag’s design prioritizes protection, with reinforced stitching at all major stress points to ensure the bag stays securely attached to your body, preventing accidental dropping and maintaining stable carrying. This all-around protective function design ensures your camera and accessories are safe and secure during transport.
In summary, the camera bag is a versatile and durable accessory that offers ample storage and multiple carrying options.
At last!!! A quality camera bag at a great price!!!
I consider myself a ‘proper’ photographer and like every proper photographer I’ve accumulated a lot of camera bags over the years.
This puts me in a great position to review this particular camera bag which, if I could describe in one word, I would simply call ‘Fantastic’.
Good camera bags are very, very expensive. Just look at some of the offerings from Bellroy, Peter McKinnon, Shimoda and Peak Design. They cost an absolute fortune and, in my opinion, they really don’t provide good value for money and are never quite ‘perfect’ for what I need, hence the vast collection I own.
I already own bags from Lowepro, Tamrac, Shimoda and KATA, with one costing me about the same as a 3-piece luggage set.
I also have two slings with neither offering any real protection and one only being suitable for carrying my small Canon G7X compact.
Onto this camera bag from Cwatcun which is very, very good and at only 40 for the Size L when reviewed is an absolute bargain. To be honest it’s a real breath of fresh air to finally see a decent quality bag come in at a realistic price.
I moved over to mirrorless around 3 years ago and I basically carry my Canon R5 & 35mm prime with me everywhere. It’s small, indiscrete, lightweight and captures fantastic images. For this I only need the bare minimum sling (if anything at all) that I can roll up and carry in a pocket.
There are times when I like to carry another lens however my existing slings are too small and my backpacks are too big so I’m left filling up dead space in my smallest backpack with a jumper I know I won’t need.
This Cwatcun bag lets me comfortably carry my R5 with my 70-200 f2.8 attached and my 35mm separate. I can also carry my R5 with my 35mm attached and my 70-200 separate (my preferred setup) but it’s a bit of a tighter squeeze as the 70-200 is too long to ‘stand up’ in the bag and you need to lie it at an angle so you can close the top zip. It still works though and it’s still very comfortable to carry I’m happy.
The bag is made from great rugged materials with thick even padding all around. I have a Lowepro bag that has a padded base (cube) but that’s it. If the Lowepro drops upside down you’re hoping that extra jumper you packed takes the hit and not your camera. This is padded everywhere and I wouldn’t bat an eyelid if this dropped and landed in any orientation.
All the zips are weatherproofed and feel really strong and there are ample pockets that you can stuff memory cards, batteries and the odd filter in if you need to.
One of the side pockets has a nice design feature in that it can double as a cup/flask holder if you want or it can remain as a standard pocket.
I would generally carry this as a sling over my shoulder rather than around my waist, purely because of the weight I’m carrying.
Carrying this for the day was very comfortable and the padded, shaped sides sat well on my hip/waist area. There was ample adjustment on the strap, which although not padded, was very comfortable on my shoulder.
I did try it out around my waist and even though I wouldn’t wear the bag this way it was still comfortable to do so, especially when carried against your back, where again the padding sat well on my waist area.
The advantage of this carry method is you simply spin the bag around to access the main zip compartment and you have that steady base to change lens or add a filter etc.
I really do like this bag it’s made from great materials, it’s comfortable, it can carry my two-lens setup and it’s very stealthy, which is important to me. I’ve actually unstitched badges from bags before so as not to give away what I’m carrying.
So, as far as a camera bag goes, I really can’t fault this especially at its price point which really does represent excellent value for money.
Absolutely no hesitations in recommending this which I know I’m going to use A LOT!
Roomy, well padded, with a plethora of pockets
The internal space of the bag has a divider to enable a smaller camera and an accessory to be carried, I have my APS-C camera, with short lens, and a telephoto or Macro lens in the case currently.
There is a large rear external zipped pocket, 2 side zipped pockets, of which the right-hand one has zippers top & bottom and a stretchy net pocket, useful for storing any microfibre cloths that have gotten damp in use.
A divided front pocket, with 3 mesh pockets (suitable for memory cards etc.) and large enough to include filters / spare battery, completes the line-up.
All zippers appear to be weatherproofed and the lid of the case has an internal ridhe around its outer edges to accompany the zipper closure. The lid also has a handle attached.
The accompanying waistband has plenty of adjustment and a quick-release clip, with a maximum fit of 150cm (approx) it should be adequate for many people.
On the base of the case are 2 adjustable straps to accommodate carrying a travel tripod or similar.
No negative aspects noted by me, the case appears to be well-made and protects my gear nicely.
Interesting solutio
This bag is an interesting solution that I quite like. The design hugs the waist with sufficient flexibility that works comfortably, yet it feels secure. For me, this solves a problem when I just want to carry less camera equipment, conveniently hand-free but not on my back. This is not a solution I had previously considered but now that I have one, it will be very well used.
This versatile bag is roomy enough for my camera with a couple of wide small lenses, some filters, and spare batteries. It also has a set of tripod loops which I probably won’t use as mine is too heavy. There is an interesting through-pocket that I might use for a monopod, however. The bag appears very well made and weatherproof and I do like the variety of storage pockets along with what looks like an excellent level of protective padding.
I’m a happy chap. 5 full stars from me.
Rather too small
I must first state that I requested the large version for review. This review is for the small one.
This camera bag looks very good. I especially like the curved shape to fit round the body. This will make it comfortable to carry and it will prevent it swinging round as square cases tend to do. It seems very strong and is well padded to protect your equipment. So an excellent case if you don’t want any extra items.
It will take my Sony Alpha 7C and a small 200 mm zoom lens but not my Tamron 300mm zoom lens. which is a great pity as that is the one that I use most of the time.
Where this case really falls down are the external pockets. The rear one is more suited to paper work, perhaps a small manual as any other item would be pushed against the side of one’s body.
The front one is far too small. Personally I carry a couple of filters in their cases and a slim box of memory cards. Add a couple of cleaning cloths and there is just not room for all that. A couple of small filters and memory cards without cases would be my limit.
Based on this case I would be tempted to buy the large version when my pension allows this.
