    As described and as advertised.

Well packaged and well presented in sleek box – stylish!

We think hat this would make a lovely gift for birthday, housewarming etc., especially for someone that enjoys BBQs or smoking meats.

Easy to use and allows you to get temperature of food being cooked without you having to be at the bbq or smoker etc. you can get the temperature reading on your phone or tablet.

Quick and easy to setup and pair. No issues to report.

Excellent temperature use ranges and IPX7 so waterproof and versatile uses almost without restriction.

Accurate as far as we can tell. It’s at least as accurate as our other thermometers

Perfect for slow cooking joints or smoking – limited use for thinner meats as probe is quite long .

I wanted to be able to sear thick steaks and then put them in the oven to get them to medium without fear of overcooking. Thanks to this, that has been made possible!

Instructions are provided which direct you to how to download the app, which will then connect to the probe.

When you load the app, you tell it the type of meat you’re cooking and how well done you want it, then it auto sets the temp. As your food is cooking then you can check the temp going up via the app. When it meets its target temp, it’ll beep with an alarm.

The probe needs to be put in to the meat by at least 3 inches so if like me wanting to cook steak, make sure its chunky enough or try and angle it when you put it in, if its any less in diameter.

First impressions count, and this did not disappoint. The device is delivered in a elegant black box that as well as containing the temperature probe includes some really useful meat temperature guides and a well written instruction manual. The meat probe itself is housed in a slim “booster” box, the function of which is to act as a wireless relay between the probe and the app you are using. When not in use the probe lives in this booster box which recharges its battery; the booster box battery is recharged via a USB cable. There is also a nice storage bag in which to keep the booster box when not in use. In use, the probe is inserted into the meat, which then talks to the nearby booster box. The app, which is easy to install and setup, then talks to the booster box via a bluetooth connection.

As it’s not really BBQ weather at the moment, I tried this out with a roast chicken cooking in the oven. The booster box should be as close as possible to the probe, but in a much cooler location, so I attached it to the side of the cooker with its integral magnets. The app which I installed on an iPad was conveniently placed on the kitchen worktop. On the app you simply dial up the type of meat you are cooking and how well done you would like it, and it automatically sets the required temperature. As the meat cooks you can watch the meat temperature slowly rising and when it meets its target it sounds an alarm on the app. This worked really well for my chicken which was cooked perfectly.

I have two slight concerns. The app also displays the ambient temperature of the cooking environment. In my case is was showing 20 degrees C below the set fan oven temperature. This of course could be a problem with my oven, but I have always believed it to be reasonably accurate. The other slight concern is that the probe needs to be inserted to a depth of 3 inches, there is a notch on the probe to indicate the depth. This is not a problem with a chicken but it may be more difficult with smaller or thinner cuts of meat.

I think this is a really useful device, well made device that is great for providing continuous monitoring of the cooking temperatures.

This is a great little gadget for ensuring your meat is cooked to perfection everytime.

I found the instructions easy to follow and the APP was easy to download and operate once installed.

The probe is stainless steel and washable and has a wireless range of over 150 metres apparently but I have only tested it for about 50 – and it worked exceptionally well. The program cooking times ect on the app make it really useful.

These are great for a BBQ or a smoker – especially if you are busy entertaining.

I love a useful gadget, especially one that works with my phone so when this Wireless Meat Thermometer came up, I just had to try it out.

The first thing you notice is the quality. The thermometer arrived in a very stylish presentation box that would not look out of place lined up next to your cookbooks. The device itself just looks elegant (strange thing to say for a meat probe I know but it really does). Alongside the device you get a handy storage pouch, charging cable, user manual, a meat temperature guide and a connection guide.

Connecting was super easy. Within the guide there is a QR code for both Android & Apple phones, once scanned you are then taken to the relevant app to download. I had no problems at all doing this and once the app was open it connected to my phone effortlessly.

As soon as I put the probe into my pork it gave me the temperature within a second, so no waiting. If for any reason the probe loses connection to your phone, then it will bleep continuously to alert you.

The probe itself has a IPX7 waterproof rating, which offers protection against immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. As a result, you can be confident using it to test the temperature of warm/hot liquids.

I found cleaning the probe really easy & I like the fact that it is dishwasher safe.

If you are looking for a wireless digital meat thermometer probe, then you can’t go wrong with this one in my opinion. I would recommend.

One of the problems of getting meat correctly cooked is understanding not only the principles of heat, but the impact it has on cooking times and taste and texture. Normally we take the oven up to temperature, , throw in the meat and then wait the respective time to see it it’s ready, sometimes we use a probe thermometer and stab it every so often to see if its’ done. It has it’s uses and it has issues, mainly not really being sure just when it’s done.
The Bluetooth thermometer takes away the guess work, it can be left in the meat during cooking and the phone app it pairs with just needs to know what the meat is and what condition you want it and then will give a real-time report on how it’s going and when to stop the cooking process.
The app was easy to install on the phone, however it didn’t want to work with anything below iOS13, which isn’t mentioned in the description.
Once downloaded, pairing with the thermometer was easy, as long as you take it out of the black style stick that is the booster/charger/case whilst pairing.
The case and thermometer is really well constructed, using on chicken and steak gave a well cooked, moist, on-target meat and the app was easy to use and set- it does take away part of the reliance upon weight calculations for time and bases the cooking instruction on the temperature within the meat and therefore being directly related tot he meats actual condition.
The result was accurate and we checked the reported temperature against a hand held thermometer and it was accurate and clear. For the price, you may challenge the benefit over a cheaper version. The real value lies in the Bluetooth connector and the app itself- having real time direct measurement of the actual temperature in the meat gives real control over the roasting/grill/bbq process, ensuring it’s consistently fabulous every time.

The DOQAUS Wireless Meat Thermometer is admittedly a very good wireless thermometer that looks premium and feels like a “proper gadget” when using it. My only and main issue with it is the fact everything’s in the app.

At first, I thought this would be great – and to its credit, the mobile app is actually pretty well designed and relatively easy to use, so my first impressions were really good. The issues came when I was actually cooking though, with sauce coated meat and trying to use the phone while cooking just ended up covering my phone with all sorts of cooking mess.

It’s a shame as the signal seemed spot on and everything worked without any drop offs. We haven’t got the weather for it now but I bet it’ll come into its own when bbq’ing.
