Connection of chain to plastic bowls – a little “thin”. Metal is a little thin. Our problem is a somewhat fat Squirrel. Should be fine with goldfinches and sparrows! Otherwise product should be fine and cheaper than most – and the plastic bowls seem quite sturdy.
Great item, strong plastic, tiny drainage holes in the food tray, good size second tray for water.
If you need to prevent food particles from dropping, this item is not for you. Mine is set in a tree, does a brilliant job.
I brought this for work. The only view I have out my window is a huge hedge with a few inches of sky. There is a bare patch that I have hung these in and now have the pleasure of watching the birds come to feed from it. Very easy to both clean, which is great.
Please note
The largest has loads of holes in the base for seeds . It can’t be used as a water bath. Only the smaller one.
The casino isn’t very strong either but ok for smaller birds like budgies Robins etc. If a pidgeon lands on it its going down lol
