It withstood a strong wind/rain over night. The rope it came with is not a great quality. We used chain attached at the wall and paracord to the posts but forgot to use the turnbuckles which are needed.
These look to be good quality and the fittings are good too. It remains to be seen as to how they stand up to strong sunshine but I am expecting two or three years of use -maybe more.
I was looking for a simple solution to provide some shade to my south-facing patio. I found an excellent shade sail kit that comes with everything you need, including anchors and screws, in one box. Setting it up was easy. Summers were unbearable due to the scorching heat, but this kit has been a game-changer. It has significantly reduced the temperature in the area. Now, I can comfortably enjoy my patio without feeling like I’m roasting in an oven. However, you need to set it up tightly and with a good inclination, or it may accumulate water in the middle. I had to make adjustments on the second day of having it.
I purchased this for my patio area for the summer as I like to have shade. I haven’t actually put it up yet as we haven’t had any sun.
I have inspected it and it looks to be perfect for what it’s supposed to do. Looks good quality and feels as though it will be waterproof. All of the fixtures and fittings are present and look to be of a good sturdy quality.
The colour is nice and the sail looks quite thick. Looking forward to summer with this shade.
