For hand-eye coordinatio
I have been loving finding great quality toys that will also be educational. This is made from wood and durable. It teaches your kids hand-eye coordination. You can even make it more challenging by asking them to pull specific colors in a round.
Great for all the family
I absolutely love this game. And i’ve spent many hours playing this with my child who is four years old. It takes a long time to put all the sticks in.But after that it is actually a very fun game. The wood is excellent quality I’m very Good quality
Wooden is so much better than plastic. 🪵
We got this Montessori Wooden Board Game for our son, who has special needs, including autism.
He absolutely adores it! Previously, we had the plastic version with marbles, but it broke and didn’t hold his interest.
This wooden version is a game-changer! It’s incredibly steady and sturdy, much better quality than the plastic one.
The size is perfect, easy for him to handle, and it’s fantastic for his fine motor skills and counting.
It’s become a favourite for family travel too.
Highly recommend!
Beautifully made and great to play
I love it when old games which were predominantly made of plastic are turned into gorgeous wooden versions.
It’s a beautifully constructed game, which, with care, should last for many years and is easily something that can be passed down to future generations.
Sometimes, the simplest of games are are the most fun, and this is no exception. It’s great value.
Well made and you can all join in!
Something of a variation on an old classic game with a nice implementation and some interesting additional rules.
It is certainly nicely made, all the finishes are good, there’s nothing that gave me any concerns, all easy to hold and fun to play. The pieces (sticks mainly) are think enough to make them safe and durable no toothpicks here!
I very much liked the finish, I like that the colours of the balls had some relevance to the game, I would have liked it to have contained a few more balls but as it stands it works well. I think it will really make some basic problem solving great fun.
The instructions were clear enough and the colours bright, vibrant and exciting.
The game is smaller than I had anticipated but that does make it easier to pack away and yes it certainly would make a good travel game. I can certainly say it’s good fun to join in with.
Game for all ages
This is a well made wooden game. It is easy to play and us fun for all ages. You could play it with any number of players.
You get a tower, sticks to stick through the holes in it, 6 coloured balls and a dice to roll to decide which colour stick needs to be pulled out.
My kids love games which involve balls falling and they thought this one was a lot of fun especially towards the end when the tension builds as to who is going to make a ball fall first.
Good family game!
Good family game for younger and oldest interaction. Very good for colour learning, counting, and also for hand coordination. this is a nice game for families to interact with the youngest while teaching their competitive side along with some other skills.
Wooden game so not easily to brake , sticks are not thin and pieces are perfect size for a toddler to use. these are painted with a non toxic water base paint. Well made, comes with a bag for all sticks, dice and balls and these, along with the bag, can fit inside the wooden tower to storage.
Very fun for the little ones and not a boring time for the oldest.
A well-made fun & traditional game.
People of a certain age will certainly remember the plastic Kerplunk(!) and the absolute chaos it could cause on a rainy afternoon stuck inside a caravan in Skegness. Unlike that version, this one is almost entirely made out of wood (the balls are plastic) and doesn’t have the ability to sneakily insert the rods at funny angles but it’s still just as much fun to set up and play. All the wood is well-finished with no sharp edges or splinters. It takes about 5 minutes to set up, and the little booklet suggests a number of different ways to play or score the game. The coloured rods can also be used for a game of ‘pick up sticks’ if you want to play something without setting the entire game up. A bag is also included for storing the rods, balls and dice inside the frame when not in use.
The only small issue I have with it is that there is no tray to collect the marbles when they drop. I also seem to remember that the original version had a couple of dozen small marbles, whereas this one has 6 quite large ones, but I also remember having to crawl around looking for all the marbles afterwards so I’m not going to complain about it.
All in all this is a fun game for an afternoon away from electronics or for teaching hand-eye coordination to younger children.
A traditional wooden game, good for the environment and everyone can play!
The Montessori Game Wooden Board Game has won me over for several reasons:
Quality Craftsmanship: This game is exceptionally well-made. The wooden sticks and dice feel sturdy, ensuring they’ll withstand countless rounds of play.
Intuitive Design: Whether you’re 3 or 63, the rules are crystal clear. No complicated instructions.
Eco-Conscious Choice: As someone committed to reducing plastic waste, I appreciate the wooden construction. It’s a small step toward a greener planet.
A box that fits its purpose: Finally the box it comes with can easily store the game away in seconds – I love that its easy to pack away after use.
In summary, this game ticks all the boxes: fun, educational, and environmentally friendly. A delightful addition to family game nights!
Simple but worth i
Montessori Game Wooden Board Game, 42 Colorful Wooden Sticks Dice Game Math :
I have actually never seen this before, so I jumped at the chance to get it.
Like most games similar to this, the set up will be the most cumbersome part but it wasn’t that bad. I was excited to get it going.
The quality of the product and the parts used is top notch and you can tell a lot of effort was put into its presentation.
I think the education value this brings is large if you are able to also think outside of the box whilst playing with your child.
…now imagine buying two or three of these and gluing them on top of each other?? 🙂
Made to last.
As a rule well made wooden games are expensive so it’s a pleasant change to find that this Monwoo stick game is so reasonably priced.
I have one negative, but minor, comment. If there were twice as many balls at half the size the game would become interesting earlier, as with the size of balls provided, quite a lot of sticks have to be removed before a ball drops. I played it with my 6 year old granddaughter and it kept us entertained for well over an hour. I don’t think she noticed any problem with the size of the balls, so it’s probably just me being over critical.
This is the sort of toy that your great granddaughter will fetch out the cupboard and tell her great granddaughter how much she loved playing with it when she was her age
Fun game
Putting stick into it is not fun at all but Taking them out is fun. Fairly good quality but it doesn’t surprise you with some extraordinary finishing. Stick are colourful and vibrant and easily fits through the holes in the main frame.
Game itself doesn’t last too long especially when kids are very keen to take the sticks out. The main frame/ tower is not too stable so it is good to hold the base when taking sticks out.
Good family game with good quality wooden items .
Kerplunk
This is wonderful, its a wooden kerplunk game, insert the coloured straws load the balls and roll the dice. Take turns pulling the straws and avoid making the balls drop. This is a lot easier to use than the 70’s original and I like the dice to decide which colour you pull. If anything it lacks a tray or something similar to direct the balls out the the player whose turn it is. Still its good old fashioned – new fu
Well made, colourful big pieces
This Montessori Game Wooden Board Game is a wooden version of the old Kerplunk, which used plastic pointed sticks and marbles for the balls.
This game is made from wood, all the pieces are a good size, no pointed bits, and colourful. The tower is well constructed and sturdy and all the pieces go in the bag supplied then store neatly inside the tower. The balls and dice are on the large size so they don’t drop as easily as the Kerplunk ones did, so keep younger children interested.
They also suggest in the instructions that you could play pick-up-sticks, but just like pencils, they are a bit too bulky to do that. 19.99 at the time of this review, this game should stand the test of time.
The old ones are the best, my favourite game as a kid, up there with Jenga.
Me and my siblings had a much less elaborate version of this when we were kids, and it was one of our favourite games. This one, well, it’s more a work of art than a toy! Beautifully made. Real wood, so it will last well, comes with a storage pouch so you don’t lose any of the sticks and balls. The colours are bright, it is very touchy-feely, great for small fingers that need to practice fine motor skills. I heartily recommend it, and for 20, a great gift idea. Very pleased, I can see this giving many hours of fun, over generations too….!
