My current car uses wired Android Auto, but the cable was getting a bit cumbersome, also I didn’t want my phone to keep being charged all the time as I know this can kill the battery. I saw this and, after reading the good reviews, decided to try it out. It works really well and connects to my phone almost immediately after turning the car on.
One thing to note: I’m using Android version 14. This already supports wireless Android Auto, so it was unnecessary to enter ‘developer mode’ as detailed in the instructions.
It comes with a variety of adaptors / cables so wherever your wired port is, there’s a way to connect neatly. Recommended!
My Android Auto actually works properly now, I had given up on android auto to be honest as my wired connection was so sensitive and could work for 2 seconds or for an hour, if I glanced at the cable it would disconnect, sometimes not connecting at all.
I purchased this hoping it might work and wow it is excellent, connects in seconds and no more losing connection and automatically connects in seconds when starting the car. Good quality dongle and extra cables. Dongle is hidden in my car so I don’t even see it. Car is VW Passa
Having tried for 2 years to get Android Auto to work in my car this has finally solved it!! I have tried multiple different cables and all the advice I could find on the internet and nothing would get Android Auto to work. I was starting to think it was my car that had the issue. After buying this little device Android A works perfectly. It connects automatically every time. All my apps work inc Waze, Podcasts, Amazon music etc. I wish I had discovered this years ago. I leave it plugged into the car all the time to reduce the amount of in and out on the plug connections. The wireless connection to my phone also means I am not plugging a lead into my phone every trip. Best 48 I have spent on my car.
My car needs you to plug in for android auto, so thought I’d try this. So easy to use, the adapters and tape mean you can place it out of the way, and it works a treat. I’d definately recommend.
After months of my phone losing connection to the car at inconvenient moments, I discovered this device.
Connection was relatively easy, though it took me a short while to figure out how to access the developer settings in android auto, which is required (and I’m pretty tech savvy)
Anyway, installed it and paired it to my phone. It now automatically pairs when I get in the car and AA works seamlessly with no lag.
Only tiny complaint is the double sided adhesive pad supplied isn’t especially sticky and the dongle keeps detaching from where I stuck it.
I’m sure I can sort that out though. Overall very impressed and now I don’t need to get hopelessly lost because phone manufacturers can’t seem to manage to invent a charging port that doesn’t break in the first couple of months of ownership, even on’flagship” handsets.

Brilliant piece of kit, got the new February 2024 version and there is zero connection lag. Android Auto is available the second you start the car. Absolute doddle to install, only took 30 seconds and it worked perfectly. Installed on a 2021 (J12) Qashqai
