one of THE BEST things i've bough for my camera Love neewer products so when this had a 20% off voucher it was a no brainer and ended up costing less than buying 2 batteries by themselves.
I’ve used this constantly for the last 4-5 months and never let me down. The batteries dont show any 3rd party error like some do, and DO display the % in camera. Not noticed any significant difference in lifespan to my original Sony one, they probably dont last quite as long but I rarely let my batteries get to completely empty anyway so never bothered me.
Great accessory for Sony shooters The design is nice and thin, and allows the case/charger to be stored neatly in almost any camera bag/case.
The included batteries have been lasting for quite a long time, and feel pretty well. made too.
The SD card slots built in to the case are a nice touch, but they were a little difficult to access at first. Seems like the door has loosened up a bit with use though.
Overall a really nice package for Sony camera owners.
I carry a LOT of batteries with me when I'm out, just in case. With this, I can have one battery in the camera and two extras in a nice case that will also charge/recharge them and hold my SD cards. It's a very nice design, aside from the fact that the SD card area is VERY difficult to open. I had to use a metal pick to open it, but hopefully, it'll get a bit looser with use. Overall, I really dig it. It's thin, relatively light, and adds a lot of versatility to my shoots! I carry a LOT of batteries with me when I’m out, just in case. This two pack of NP-FZ100 batteries and charger is an accessory I will definitely be packing in my camera bag on trips. The batteries work just fine with my Sony a7iii camera. The charging case can hold and charge both batteries and has two slots for SD cards. A USB-A to USB-C charging cable is included. The case does have two sets of indicator lights for charging and fully charged. The case can be used in a pinch to charge a phone or tablet, but doing this will run down the two FZ100 batteries inside, so I would try to avoid using this feature unless I have other fully charged FZ100 batteries on hand for my camera. The only issue I had was I found opening the SD card slots not as straightforward as it should be. Works well I’ve previously purchased a number of Neewer items and have never been disappointed. This one is no exception.
The batteries arrived partially charged. Charging in the charger via a USB-C connection was no problem and may have been a little faster than some of my other chargers. A red LED on the side of the charger showed charging was underway.
As a plus, with the batteries in place, the charger kit can be used to charge other items via a USB-A connection. I checked to see it would work by charging my iPhone and another battery; it worked fine in both instances. While I don’t even see myself using this feature (batteries have a finite number of times they can be charged; why use them for anything but my camera?), it is nice to know it’s available in a pinch.
As an added “bonus”, the charger can hold a couple spare SD cards in a compartment that clicks shut to keep the cards in place.
l am happy with this produce and will get rid of a couple of my older chargers and replace them with this one.
Great Addition To Camera Case The Neewer charger and batteries are a first-class addition to my Sony equipment. The batteries are identical to the Sony OEM batteries. I get no error messages on my camera about the non-Sony batteries. They appear to have the same longevity as the Sony originals (though I have no way of testing this quantitatively).
The unique charger is also a case. There is a slot for a couple of spare SD cards (The SD latch takes a bit of TLC to open). The power indicators are either green or red; there is no level meter. The package is a very handy addition to a camera case.
Decent idea but SD slots are hard to access Great way to pack two batteries and two cards with added bonus of being a phone charger. It is not a quick charger and I think that’s for the best to protect the batteries by not rapidly discharging them.
The physical charger/case is light and it’s easy to use except for the SD slots. With the sd card holder latch packed in tight on the right side lip and hinge to the left I found it rather difficult to pop open even with strong fingernails. I feel like reversing this and having the hinge side to the right would have made this Neewer battery pack an even better setup.
The batteries included seem to hold a good charge and are about on par with OEM, best of all they do not trip the incompatible third party battery warning on newer cameras.
I would definitely recommend this for photographers on the go but be warned that SD holder can be tricky and it may take a few moments to pop open.
Compatible with recent Sony firmware but included cable doesn't match descriptio Compatible with the recent Sony firmware (I checked on Sony FX3 version 4) but the charging cable doesn’t match the description.
The firmware compatibility is a big plus because recent firmware updates usually throw a compatibility warning and disable the battery percentage readout for nearly all other third-party batteries. This is the value proposition for this kit.
Included are two FZ100 compatible batteries with back protectors, a Charging case that also can hold two SD cards, a Micro USB and a USB-C input and a USB-A output, multi-language instructions, safety warning, EU compliance, disposal instructions, Micro USB to USB-A charging cable.
The case itself is a nice hard plastic. Oddly the charging cable does not match the description on this product page. While the page describes USB-C to USB-A, included is Micro USB to USB-A. I think this is a big miss since the former would also help the charger work as a power bank for Android and the new iPhone 15.
Noteworthy is that the charging case itself is not a power bank but can become one if the batteries are in place. To be clear if you’re using this as a power bank for your phone, you’re draining the batteries you’d be using with your camera.
The instructions themselves seem incomplete as they do not describe the charging light status nor the charger’s use as a power bank (with batteries installed). That information is only available on this product page.
The charging status indicator for each channel (each battery) is simply red for charging and green for charging so there’s no status progress.
While the most important feature, compatibility with recent firmware is a major plus. Included Micro USB instead of USB-C and not having complete instructions are drawbacks. Although I’d like a charging status progress indicator that’s not quite as critical. That the case can hold two SD cards is nice is a nice addition. It’s a good value but the oversights are niggling annoyances.
Let's get the good news out of the way. This charger works great, as do the included batteries. I like the sleek design and plan on packing this for all of my trips. I also like that it's compatible with USB-C. The SD Card holder isn't very intuitive to open for the first time and required a small screwdriver to pry it open. Maybe it was just my charger but it opens smoothly afterwards. My only other nitpick is the lid of the charger. Why add so much text to such a good-looking design? They could have easily added all of that text to the bottom of the charger to keep the design looking clean, but instead, I have to advertise the fact that I'm using an off-brand charger. All things considered, it's still excellent for what its made for, charging and storing your batteries. Let’s get the good news out of the way. This charger works great, as do the included batteries.
