    Nightfox Corsac 2 Goggles
This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. Below is my own real-world experience of using it.

I was particularly drawn to it, since I am an avid wildlife/bird watcher, and have never used night vision goggles before. There are sometimes badgers in my garden, late at night, that I would love to be able to see more clearly.

Firstly, the build quality is very good – the whole piece has a robust feel, with a soft, rubberised casing that would probably work really well for keeping rain or moisture out of the device. It’s a little bit of an oil magnet, though, so can look grimy quite quickly. I particularly liked the eyecups, too – they’re really comfortable, and mould well around the face – great for longer periods of wear. The only drawback I could find with the design, is that the IR lens cover isn’t actually attached to the goggles, its rubber stopper therefore can fall out easily – I would recommend taking care not to lose it, because it acts as an IR filter, should you wish to use the goggles during the daytime. The package also includes a fairly chunky strap that feels nice to wear, and attaches to the main body securely.

Everything fits perfectly in to the semi solid storage case, which itself is compact enough to fit in to a camera, or other travel bag. It seems fairly protective.

Thanks to the helpful instructions, I was able to set up and start using the goggles within a few minutes. It has a control panel of buttons on the top, that allow you to change settings rapidly – these buttons are laid out in an ergonomic way, with nice, ‘clicky’ feedback. The zoom wheel is found on the front left of the goggles – this can be a little tricky to get to, but it moves smoothly, allowing for precision zooming.

I have tested out the device in both daylight and night scenarios, and as far as the video quality is concerned, there is some nice colour and great detail – I’d even say that you could use the goggles as ‘electric binoculars’, so to speak. Yes, the night time footage suffers from digital noise, but that is to be expected to an extent, and from what I have seen, it’s not detrimental to the resulting footage. What is a problem, however, is that the unit I received appeared to have a sound recording defect – there was some mechanical/bleeping that I could hear, no matter what I recorded. I could hear it clearly over other background noises like birdsong, etc., which was a shame.

I have found the battery life to be very good so far, despite the unusual battery required for the device. In any case, it’s straightforward to recharge, due to having USB-C compatibility. I also found the included micro SD card useful, though you can, of course, replace it with one of your own choosing.

In summary, it’s a neat gadget to add to any wildlife watcher’s bag, as long as it is in full working order.

    Impressive, but some issues
I’ve never used night vision binoculars before, but am quite impressed by the quality of these. The image quality is quite high, and I can see perfectly in the dark with them for some distance. You can also view visible light by putting the infrared filter/lens cap on. This is also decent quality.
There are some silly design flaws for something this expensive though. For example, the buttons are all black with no white print on them. Especially for night vision binoculars, you’d have thought they’d expect it to be used in low light conditions, and make the buttons readable in the dark. Or have obvious raised symbols, but they don’t.
The focus wheel is also very narrow, and in a position where you have to either take your left hand off the binoculars or use your little finger to turn it. Neither of which are good for keeping a steady hand. Which you need to tell whether your focus is right. It does have a tripod attachment though, so if you’re using that, this isn’t an issue.
The zoom also seems to be digital. Which to me is almost as good as not having zoom at all, as it just blows up the image, in effect reducing the quality.
The carry/storage case is also too large, including some cardboard which keeps the binoculars in place, but they won’t last. So if you want to transport it anywhere without it rattling about and getting damaged in the case, you’ll have to pad it with some rolled up socks or something.
Overall, I’m still impressed, just with how well it works for night vision. You really do get a lot of detail, but I wouldn’t be using this to replace a normal set of binoculars to view things from afar.

    impressive for all adventures!
As someone who loves exploring the outdoors after dark, I was thrilled to get my hands on the Nightfox Corsac 2 night vision goggles. These goggles are simply amazing! Right out of the box, I was impressed by how well-made and easy to use they are.

Setting them up was a breeze, and once I turned them on, I was blown away by the clear, detailed night vision image they provided. The dual lens viewing screen made it feel like I was looking through a pair of binoculars, giving me an incredibly immersive experience.

One of the best features is the infrared camera that records 1080p HD footage onto the included 32GB memory card. This has allowed me to capture all my nighttime adventures in stunning quality to share with friends and family.

The range on these goggles is fantastic too. I’ve been able to clearly see objects over 200 meters away, which has made nighttime hiking, camping, and wildlife watching so much more enjoyable and safe.

Overall, the Nightfox Corsac 2 goggles have exceeded all my expectations. They are durable, packed with great features, and provide an outstanding night vision experience. If you love the outdoors at night, these are a must-have item that will truly elevate your adventures.

    perform admirably in complete darkness
Excited to enhance my camping experiences, I recently acquired the Night Fox Night Vision Goggles. These goggles promised to revolutionize how I engage with the natural world after sunset, and I was eager to test their capabilities.

    Unboxing and First Impressions:
The package included the night vision goggles, a USB-C charging cable, and a user manual. The inclusion of a USB-C cable is a welcome modern touch, ensuring compatibility with current charging standards. The user manual was exceptionally clear and concise, making it easy to understand the operational nuances of the goggles right out of the box.

    Design and Usability:
Equipped with six buttons and a manual focus roller wheel, the goggles are designed to be user-friendly. However, I encountered a slight usability issue with the manual focus wheel. Although functional, its small size makes it difficult to locate and adjust in complete darkness, which can be frustrating when quick focus adjustments are needed.

    Performance in Darkness:
The goggles perform admirably in complete darkness, fulfilling their primary function. The ability to see clearly in such conditions is impressive, making these goggles a valuable tool for nighttime activities. The added zoom feature is beneficial for bringing distant objects into clearer view, although it comes with a caveat.

    Zoom Function and Image Quality:
While the zoom capability is a useful feature, it noticeably reduces the image quality. This degradation can detract from the experience, particularly when observing wildlife or navigating through complex terrains. The zoom feels like it could have been better optimized to maintain more of the original image clarity.

    Overall Experience:
Despite the minor issues with the focus wheel and zoom, the Night Fox Night Vision Goggles are impressive. They provide clear and effective night vision, which is exactly what I needed for my camping trips. The challenge of locating buttons in the dark is a small trade-off for the overall benefits these goggles provide.

    Conclusion:
The Night Fox Night Vision Goggles are a solid choice for anyone looking to explore or navigate in low-light conditions. They offer clear night vision capabilities, although improvements could be made in terms of the accessibility and functionality of the focus and zoom features. For campers, hikers, or anyone needing to see in the dark, these goggles add a significant edge to nocturnal adventures.

    Good but not brillia
I got these for camping in the summer and I have to say I’m pretty impressed with the ability to see in complete darkness when using the night fox night vision goggles, in the box you have the night vision goggles, USB C charging cable and the user manual.

The user manual is quite straightforward to read and understand how to operate the goggles. On the goggles you have six buttons and a manual focus roller wheel.

The goggles work really well helping you see in complete darkness but I found the manual focus wheel is hard to find in the dark it’s not big enough, I found my self fumbling around trying to find it. The goggles also have a zoom that helps you can bring far away objects into vision. When using the zoom it does reduce the image quality quite a lot I feel that the zoom should of been better.

Overall there impressive night vision goggles that do give clear night vision but the buttons are hard to find in the dark.

    Excellent quality
I’ve never owned a pair of night vision googles before, although I have set up a wildlife camera in my garden, so I thought these would make an interesting addition.

The first thing to say is that they feel incredibly good quality. They come with a case and a comfortable shoulder/neck strap. The battery is rechargeable and you get a 32gb memory card to store pictures and videos.

I really like that you can take these out on a day trip and use them as ordinary binoculars, but then switch to night vision as it gets dark. The picture quality is great in both light and dark settings.

They’re reasonably easy to use once you get used to the various controls too. Overall, I’m
    Very impressed.

    Awesome
We occasionally escape the city to visit friends who live in a wild and remote part of Yorkshire.

This affords us the opportunity to view wildlife we only usually see on TV. This is the reason we obtained this .

We were impressed by the regular binocular function in the day, but the things we saw in the fields beyond their house with this at night were awesome.

These present images of such clarity and definition in zero light that it is hard to fathom how they do it.

And with the touch of a button these images can be saved onto a 32gb memory card and then enjoyed by the rest of the family.

Whatever purpose you might use this for this for you get great quality and although not exactly cheap, it represents really good value .

    Clever thing
I never had night vision googles or rather binoculars. I enjoyed experimenting with them and I found them useful. They are good for camping or even around the home when power cuts off.
They offer pure and clear vision and we can adjust the zoom via button and distance via the knob on the left side of these googles.
There are few control buttons through which we can access the settings, choose mode (night vision, day vision, recording, taking photo, setting date and time, adjust the brightness, delete unwanted photos and videos.
The 32GB memory (micro SD) card is included and that’s the maximum capacity card which can be used in this NightFox.
We can also access the recordings and photos when connecting the googles via usb C cable to laptop or phone. I havent try that yet but i believe it will work.
I really like these googles, they are good quality and once when we know all the button functions, it will be much easier to use it with its full potential.
Padded neck/ carry shoulder strap is included as well as instruction booklet and usb C charging /data transferring cable. Not mention the handy storage case, which is very useful at keeping all the kit safe and sound. This product is rechargable and it has quite big, blue, rechargeable battery inside.
It’s weight is reasonable, not that heavy at all.
I only don’t like the smell of the storage casing and the rubber on googles which touches my face every time I want to see something through these googles.
Apart from that, it’s fantastic stuff for my needs. I can’t compare it to any other as its my first this type of night googles.
The price, I think, is decent for that advanced product.

    Great First Pai
You’ll see from many of the reviews that some are quite negative. These focus on how this has missed the mark in where it should be for 2024, with bad audio and video.

Now I have used non-nightvision digital cameras in the same price range. I’ve had a similar experience with audio and picture. So of course I was not expecting these to be perfect.

Note, I have never owned a pair. So I don’t have the experience and therefore bias.

    I personally like these.

    * Detailed instructions
    * Easy to use
    * Comfortable and the focus, etc. works great for someone like me who relies on glasses – I had to take my glasses off btw.
    * Picture quality and audio is perfectly fine. I could see just fine in the dark. So much so that I was actually impressed.

    I’m definitely taking these camping.

    Very Good Night Vision Goggles
Very good quality Night Vision Goggles from Nightfox, made from very good materials.

I have to say so far I am impressed with these night vision googles, I am no tech expert on night vision googles BUT I have tried & used a few different makes & brands.

Very easy to setup and use, buttons are responsive which is always a must.

For me personally one of the standout features this has is the ability to be able to put it up to your eyes and look through it like binoculars the other ones I have tried in the past you can not do this you have to hold it away from you to view, the main reason for night vision googles is so you can use it at night so you end up having light on you using them so you are easily seen BUT then again maybe that is a good thing. But you do not have this issue with these.

The picture quality is very good even when you start zooming in BUT I do see a bit of grain when I am at the maximum zoom BUT this is to be expected. My only minor grumble is it only records at 1080p it would have been nice if this recorded at 4k but for me personally this is not a game changer

It comes with a 32GB card which is a nice touch BUT I would say this is fine if you only need to record on the odd occasion but as with all devices that come with home brand memory cards generally they are not that reliable or the actual write speeds are slow so I would say replace this with a better brand BUT ONLY if you need the recordings for what ever reason or you need faster write speeds.

Also comes with a nice case that can easily fit the night vision googles which helps to protect them when travelling or even just on a shelf which is a nice touch.

Overall I am very happy with the night vision googles, I do feel it is a bit on the expensive side considering it only records at 1080p BUT these are great and I would still recommend it.

    Very Impressed!
I’m Looking forward to the summer and camping! I have a cheaper one of these I got a year ago-ish.
I was impressed by them but then I got this baby.

The widescreen within is easy to see. I keep having issues reaching the focus wheel but that’s probably due to being used to another one where the wheel was a little more obvious.

The rubber that seals your eyes into the divide is spot on. It feels nice and looks easy to clean after a long summer of nature watching.
This goes for the neck strap too. One side is a rubber grip (Good for damp days) the other sponge (Great for hot days).

The 32GB is already installed. All you need to do is format it to make sure all is in order.

You charge this up via the supplied USBc.
There is a port under the device to be able to add this to a mono pole/tripod etc.

I found this device works best at night. It looks like the day settings are more of a bonus. Remember to remove the left lens cap to get the night vision working correctly.

All in all, for 170 I found it great. there are cheaper ones and more expensive ones. I found that this is the correct price for this mid-range entry.

really cool, feels futuristic, can see in the dark (with & without IR illuminator). Bulky, only 1080
    PROS
-these work really well: its ability to brighten a very dark scene, and then also illuminate it with bright IR means I can see in almost any conditions.
-the design of the magnifying lenses inside the unit, and the rubber cup at the back make these very comfortable to use (especially if you can’t see very well close up)
-includes a 32GB SD card to record videos and photos
-easilly recharged, though the battery can also be removed and replaced, if it gets old
-acceptable magnification, can be very useful if your viewing subject isn’t too far away (and is sufficient large to see at those distances)
    -easy to focus
    -includes a good hard-shell case
    -comfortable strap

    CONS
-quite bulky (but no more so than any large pair of binoculars)
-digital zoom, while helpful, loses a lot of detail
-only 1080p resolution (I have a less expensive pair of night vision goggles that have 4K resolution)
-location of the focussing ring is non-intuitive for me, I always seems to fumble around until I find it

    NOTES
-I’m really enjoying using these. I’ve never used any night vision binoculars before, so I don’t know how they should perform, but these are great for me. I do find them a little expensive though (but, again , I don’t know what optics like this _should_ cost).

    MY STAR RATINGS:
    1* substandard, mostly cons
2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros
3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros
4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons
5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

    Amazing piece of ki
Having used dirt cheap night vison before in the past, these are absolutely amazing.

Coming with a hard carry case, neck strap, rechargeable battery & a 32gb Sd card installed your ready to go straight out the box. Day time use is perfectly clear, good solid 1080p image & with 3x digital zoom is perfect for watching birds in the garden, also has the function to take photos & video with the push of a button. All controls are on the top of the unit easy to reach while holding the unit up to your eyes, only other control being a focus wheel up front by the lenses which it fiddly to find at first but easy to use.

Now at night is where these really come to life, pop off the day lens cap & turn on the illumination. In almost zero light & with the illuminator set to the lowest setting they provide such a clear crisp image that I would swear that its 4k rather than 1080p. I was frankly shocked at the clarity of what I was seeing, blows any other night vision I’ve experienced out of the water.

If any downsides I feel I’d like a bit more than 3x zoom, but It a limitation I’m willing to live with for a device of this quality for under 200.

    Works well
Nice package which includes both a hard carry case and a strap. Everything is pretty good quality, with the main googles being good to look at and to touch, with nice soft touch plastic on the outside.

In use, the googles work very well. During the day time you get a nice clear picture using the included IR filter cap. The screen is good quality, with reasonably good colour accuracy and a sufficiently high resolution that detail can be seen. Using the digital zoom, it’s possible to read car registration plates up to around 85m distance. At night time, the IR illumination is impressive and works really well to give high quality black and white images even in pitch black environments.

Couple of issues which stop me giving this 4 stars. Firstly, there is some debris stuck to the screen, which looks like a big chunk of black plastic swarf. This does not affect photos at least, but is annoying. The strap included is good, and the goggles include mounting loops for them, but there is no clip on either, so out of the box there is no way to attach them together.

Overall, pretty good, with some easily fixable issues.

    Really Impressed with these
I have absolutely no experience with night vision binoculars so this review is based on my experience with them,
I found them to be really easy to use, I was really shocked at actually how much I could see with them, besides the fact everything was black and white the image was really clear, and I was so excited that I could save my pictures and videos of the roaming hedgehogs to the included memory card,
I am not technologically minded by any stretch of the imagination but I am really impressed with these, and the wildlife wont be safe now as I will be watching them every night!!
