For months we’ve struggled to find a food that my now 8 month old likes. She would rather starve herself than eat what we put down. She would happily chow down on a bowl of fresh veg, rice and boiled chicken but we were concerned that she wouldn’t be getting the proper nutrients that she needs. After trying many other brands of fresh food (including those fancy subscriptions), wet food, dry food, we tried the chicken, pumpkin and pea from pooch and mutt. and she LOVES it. She wags her tail as she watches us weighing out her portion and she licks the bowl clean after she’s finished.
Good doggo food!
I’ve been searching for an affordable good doggo food for ages having tried various ones, but the prices just got silly. This food is made with good ingredients and mixed with the kibble provides all the nutrition my seniors need. They enjoy all the flavours, even the stinky fishy one that makes the kitchen pong for ages!
Good packaging and good food
The packaging is good for using over various days, it tears open easily. The food is good quality and my dog loves it. Her fur is softer since eating it.
Use this as an extra with my 2 dogs dry food – to make it more interesting.
I can get 5 dinners (per dog) out of one pouch (my dogs are small up to 10kg) but good quality, good price and it’s overall cheaper than other brands I have tried.
Dogs seem to love it too
I bought this for a chihuahua and a yorkie who have sensitive tummies and not many teeth. They absolutely love this chicken and pumpkin. They took to it from day one and no adverse effects. I don’t like the carton packaging I struggle with bad hands. But if it’s better for the environment and the dogs love it, I guess it’s worth the difficulty in me opening it.
You can tell the quality of the food. The consistency is great I use a fork to just mash it up to make it easier for them to eat. This is well worth a try. My dogs have gained weight since eating this- but they needed to. They’re such fussy eaters I can never get them to gain weight with other foods and I’ve tried so many now. But with this. They’re absolutely thriving.
We’ve had to find a food that was higher in calories than most as our little Jack Russell Terrier has cancer & was losing weight extremly fast.
Since he has been on Pooch & Mutt pumpkin meat he has regained a fair bit of weight! His appetite has become ravenous, he absolutely loves it!
The pumpkin flavour meat has one of the highest calorific values per 100g of any other dog meat.
Our dog is a very fussy eater & usually gets fed up with the same food, but he is still loving it.
Yes it’s more expensive than most, but it’s simply great!
The packaging is also very good, the box simply has a perforated tear strip and you can fold over for a reasonable seal if you do not use it all.
Delivery was quicker than expected with no issues.
Right food for a new pe
I lost my rescue adopted Maltese fur baby to old age, and was encouraged by family to take on another adoption pooch for company. In fact I took on two, mum and one year puppy Maltese Terriers. Finding the right food for sensitive tummies is never easy, so some trial and error brought me to Pooch and Mutt. They loved it from the first packet. No tummy upsets, so its the way forward and we are all very happy.
Reduced food amou
Previously all packs contained the 375g stated on the side however now the recipe has changed this has reduced to 348g and the rest made by slush gel. My dog has to have his food calculate so this makes it very difficult this is that same for the Turkey and duck too. I am awaiting another delivery but will be looking to change the food if the gel-food ratio changes furthe
My gol dog loves the food.
I like the packaging,bio-degradable and the food is good quality. My dog Phoebe is nearly 17 years old, its good on her stomach, would highly recommend. The Treats are also good. Not to hard for an old girl.
One dog loved this and the other didn't.
I buy pooch and mutt for my dogs I would buy it again. I buy the calm and relax dry food and I buy their treats and I have no more upset tummies. Perfect!
Changed Recipe Disaster (Updated Jan 23)
Both labs loved this until the latest delivery arrived. Totally changed recipe and the runny gravy replaced by horrible solid jelly and weird looking block of dog food and two labs now have soft very soft rather than firm stools. Why have they changed what was an excellent product?
I think the disaster was changing the recipe for 2022 as it has now improved and back to how it used to be and my 2 labs love it again. Just wonder if their were bad batches as quite a few similar reviews,

Finally found a food my fussy dog loves
My dog is very fussy re food to the extent that the will go hungry if something is not to her liking. Spent 7 years trying to find something she is happy with & she absolutely loves this product. She has been eating it for months now quite happily plus the pumpkin has sorted out issues she had with her anal glands. Thank you Pooch & Mutt. Wish I’d found you before.
Favourite
A definite favourite of my fussy German Shepherd. So I guess the flavour is perfect and the ingredients seem good quality. His digestive system works well on this food. I have never managed to open the cartons by tearing along the perforation so obviously use scissors instead. When the cartons are rinsed they flatten nicely for the recycling bin.
No nasty ingredients
Great wholesome food with no nasty additives, I mix this with the pooch and mutt dry biscuits and my dogs love it. It’s good to know that you are giving them something decent.
I liked this product for being wheat/gluten free and very tasty for my cocker spaniel, Saxon. I disliked a little having a carton when I couldn’t easily judge the amount I was feeding before the contents came out of the packet – a minor point against an excellent product!
