TECKNET Wired Ergonomic Mouse, 6400DPI Wired Vertical Mouse 6-Button Silent Mouse with 4 Adjustable Levels DPI, 1.5 m USB Cable Optical Wired Mouse for Laptop, PC, Mac
This is a 3 and half stars. Overall the product is good but their are some disappointing features that I did not expect.
Pros:
-Typing is all good on the keyboard
-The backlight is good and goes through the letters of the keys
Cons:
-Spacebar does make a springy sound. It’s a bit annoying, since every other key feels great.
-The mouse has a back (and forward) button at the side and a light touch on it with the thumb can make you go back when the internet, can be very annoying, apart from that the mouse is good.
Personal:
My personal disappointment is the macros on the keyboard. It can’t do anything complicated, only recongnizes letters, words and numbers. Doesn’t understand Symbols or commands (like copy and paste). I’m not entirely sure yet, but I don’t think it saves the your macros when you restart the computer.
Overall impression:
For the price, I would say its pretty good. 3 and half stars.
his is a great keyboard and i am really shocked at the price considering you get a pretty decent mouse with it too, it comes with tons of features, probably the most most on-board software i have seen in a affordable gaming keyboard.
it comes with a “game” mode that disables the windows button from minimising your games.
there is 10 macro keys that can be easily setup along the top of the keyboard.
Three different back lights- red blue and purple with an adjustable wheel to change the brightness, and also has a “breathing” mode to display all colours.
the keys feel nice to use and you can actually improve the performance of responsive your keystrokes.
mouse has 3 DPI settings and comes with 2 function keys on the side with red LEDs.
tecknet products are always surprisingly well made for how cheap they sell. but this time they have out done themselves. if i paid 50 for the mouse and keyboard i would not feel disappointed in the quality or functions available
Its a great keyboard and mouse, might seem a tad on the cheap side to some but i don’t see anything wrong with them, they function as well as any good keyboard and mouse should. I’ve had mine for over a year now and iv’e never had any problems til now, the ‘ # ‘ key seems be pressed when i press ‘ enter ‘ but this is due to it taking a bit of a thrashing.
One minor gripe, when it arrived, the keyboard backlight LED’s did not work at all, it would light up on the dial where you change the brightness but not the keys themselves, obviously this did not affect the performance but it just pissed me off a tad.
Other than that,a great set.
The keyboard is absolutely fine, although – as I’ve seen in other reviews – the keys are a little small. It also feels a bit plasticky and soft but there we are. The keyboard is easy to operate, though I had to squint at the instructions in places. I like the lights on the keyboard and everything works fine.
Pros (keyboard):
-Nice and sturdy
-Easy to program; macro keys are useful (I’ve pre-programmed 10 salty messages to spam in chat)
-the lights are pretty; the three colours available are vibrant.
-The keys aren’t very loud (I’ve just moved on from a mechanical keyboard which I managed to break …somehow…)
Cons (Keyboard):
-The keys feel a little small
-it feels a bit plasticky, I wonder how this will stand up against a good beating
-key presses feel a little slow
The mouse is total garbage, it’s unwieldy, ugly and the buttons aren’t programmable. I own a lot of Tecknet products and whilst very cheap this mouse is well below their usual standard. The scroll wheel doesn’t feel at all nice, and it does a middle click when pushed to the side. This is being my backup mouse but I’d sooner use an apple wireless mouse for gaming it’s that bad.
Overall, everything works, and the keyboard is decent quality, but the major let down of this product is the mouse. You could probably get a much better keyboard/mouse combo for a few extra pounds. I couldn’t go lower than 4* however because I do quite like the keyboard.
What a fantastic Keyboard and mouse set this is. As usual with tecknet products, they arrived in frustration free packaging, which I always really appreciate. The keyboard is made of a very solid construction, feeling very premium with a good weight to it. The back lit keys have a nice travel to them whilst typing. It comes with 10 user definable keys, handy if you do a lot of PC gaming. You also have 3 different back light colours to choose from. with varying degrees of brightness which you can easily control with a knob controller.
The mouse is made from the same solid construction, and feels great in the hand. There’s your usual right and left click buttons along with a side mounted back and forward selection buttons. There is also a DPI selection button to change the sensitivity of the mouse. Both mouse and keyboard have a good length braided cable to them.
I’d highly recommend these items as they’re exceptional value for money.
Brought this set to replace an older model that I managed to break and haven’t looked back, the keys feel more mechanical than spongy like the older model.
The keyboard has 10 user definable macro keys at the top of the keyboard which come in very handy when playing games with repetitive commands the only downside is they are saved into the keyboard and cannot be defined by profiles by software for different games so if you set M1 as “/home” it will do “/home” in whatever game or application you are running I’m yet to find some software that will override this.
The backlight on the keyboard has a great range from off to bright and even with only 3 colours its still colourful.
The mouse is a nice size and fits nicely in my big hands the built in leds are not too bright but with no way to turn them off when the pc is in sleep mode the mouse is still lit up like Blackpool illuminations, it has 2 buttons on the side which work as back and forwards buttons in browsers and file explorer and with the dpi button on the top for selecting mouse sensitivity.
Both keyboard and mouse have reasonable cable lengths which is nice for larger desks.
Overall this set is great value for money both feel very well made and sturdy if your gaming on a budget this is a sure fire win, will definitely be looking at the newer models if this one ever meets an untimely end.
This keyboard is perfect for gaming or even for everyday uses. The keys are mechanical keys but they don’t make as much clicky sounds as other mechanical keyboards. There is a dial on the top and center of the keyboard which you can use to adjust the backlighting of the keyboard. The backlight has 3 different options which is easy to select without having to go to settings. You can change the light into red, blue or purple just by pressing 2 keys. Additionally, there are 10 additional buttons that you can use for shortcuts and they are easy to set! These shortcuts are very handy and I’ve been using them.
The mouse has a similar style to the keyboard and the red lighting from the inside of the mouse makes it look cool and stylish. The grip is comfortable and ergonomic so that your hand won’t be tired after awhile. It is also nicely weighted and has many buttons which are very useful even if you’re not a gamer (the side buttons can be used to go back or forward in Chrome for example)
Overall this is a nice keyboard and mouse set and is perfect for gamers and non gamers alike
I bought this to go with my son’s gaming computer. He found it a bit buggie, so he opted to use a different keyboard.
I decided to try it myself and it is perfectly usable. Very occasionally it does type a whole bunch of 7’s when I’m not even touching the keyboard. A bit odd, but not really a problem for me.
I only gave 4 stars because it couldn’t be used for the purpose it was intended for, and is a little buggie.
This keyboard appears to be well made and sturdy. It’s quite heavy. Everything is in the right place, eg ” and @ are where you expect them to be. On some keyboards these characters are reversed.
Overall I’m happy with it.
Received this today after a previous Logitech packed out on me during a game of CS:GO. Being an avid nerd, I considered that like the L’Oreal adverts, I too was worth it and decided that I would treat myself to a Gaming Keyboard. Having scoured the internet I looked up Corsair, Razer, Roccat et al, but I am a financial concious computer nerd. I want maximum nerd for maximum value.
Low and behold, this keyboard came into my life. It looks good, acts good, and is good on your wallet.
It is very well constructed, and has a good weight to it. Previous reviewers have commented that it is a large keyboard – so what? It’s comfortable and the tactile response is good, almost as good as a mechanical keyboard. The WASD keys are even solid red, very useful when you’re dashing to the keys quickly. And if you don’t like red? There’s also Blue and Purple to choose from. The world is your oyster, relatively speaking.
In short. Hand over your money. It’s that damn good.
