    Pretty good
Quite pleased with this, as it’s quiet, including the wheel, unlike my last one, and comfortable to use. The only thing I noticed is that it’s a touch on the large side. I’m a guy with largish hands, and it’s just about ok, but I wouldn’t recommend it to those with smaller hands.

    Premium product, value for money.
    I like:
ergonomic design, not feeling tired on my wrist after using it all day long, material absorb sweat, extremely quiet.

    I don’t like:
None. Guess it would be great if it comes with different colours.

Good value combi keyboard & mouse
Had this a few days. Not using for gaming.

Nice keyboard and mouse especially for the price (21 GBP).
Feels sturdy, gaming keyboard (key presses are a little noisier than regular keyboards).
    Fully adjustable back lights.

The mouse cycles through each colour and this can’t be programmed/changed (model/sku TM175U).
Mouse is responsive, DPI button works, the mouse wheel doesn’t click but its not entirely smooth. Mouse is light, but while not as sturdy as a a Logitech it’s not very flimsy feeling.

This is a 3 and half stars. Overall the product is good but their are some disappointing features that I did not expect.

    Pros:

-Typing is all good on the keyboard
-The backlight is good and goes through the letters of the keys

    Cons:

-Spacebar does make a springy sound. It’s a bit annoying, since every other key feels great.
-The mouse has a back (and forward) button at the side and a light touch on it with the thumb can make you go back when the internet, can be very annoying, apart from that the mouse is good.

    Personal:

My personal disappointment is the macros on the keyboard. It can’t do anything complicated, only recongnizes letters, words and numbers. Doesn’t understand Symbols or commands (like copy and paste). I’m not entirely sure yet, but I don’t think it saves the your macros when you restart the computer.

    Overall impression:

For the price, I would say its pretty good. 3 and half stars.

Great functionality, only minor superficial complaints
Love the feel of this keyboard and mouse set.
The only things that let it down (imo) are that the mouse’s glow colour can’t be changed to match the keyboard (keyboard can glow blue, red or purple – yet the mouse only ever glows red), and that keyboard lights under the Mr / Game / Num Lk / Caps Lk / Scroll Lk indicators, and also the one inside the glow-brightness dial, also don’t match the keyboard’s underglow colour.

If everything could be matched up like that, this would be a 10/10 product.

For the price this is an astounding looking keyboard and mouse set! You can adjust the keyboard light to different colours, brightness and a breathing motion or just turn it off altogether. The media keys work fine with iTunes which is handy but I’ve yet to try any gaming setup as I don’t play games that often on the PC. The mouse is quite big and heavier than a normal mouse so it takes a wee while to set it up to your liking with the mouse options in windows and pressing the DPI button. I’ve bought a few TECKNET products recently and they all work fine with no problems. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Great for casual gaming and work
Firstly, I must point out that I am a casual gamer. I do not do the type of competitive gaming that might require the use of dedicated and specialist equipment. Even so, this mouse and keyboard seem to work very well for the types of games I play (Overwatch, Conan Exiles, The Elder Scrolls Online, etc.) and for the price.

The keyboard is heavy, which makes it stay where you put it — it may sound like a silly thing but it is nice to have a sturdy, comfortable keyboard under your hands; I’ve had keyboards before that were light and that tended to “drift” under your hands if you typed (or when gaming sessions got hectic), especially on smooth metal desks. The keys have a comfortable action and I find that typing on it is accurate and a breeze. The backlighting can be adjusted in terms of brightness and colour (there is red, purple and blue) although I found that to set it to purple, you need to turn the brightness all the way up. You can even have it cycle through the three colours repeatedly; the kids love that. 😛

It comes with ten programmable keys (make sure you keep the instructions — it is a bit of work to figure out how to program/deprogram them) as well as a dedicated music player key, mute key and a key for turning off/on the power of your PC (although I have so far only managed to get it turn the power off).

For the price, I cannot really fault the keyboard. It works as well if not better than some more expensive keyboards that I have owned before. My biggest issue with the keyboard (and again, this may sound silly) is the lack of dedicated media controls. Play, Pause, Skip forward/backward as well as volume controls, etc. are all accessed via the FN and F5 to F11 keys. This feels like a bit of a strange design choice for a gaming keyboard, especially if you want to skip a music track or turn volume up or down while gaming. Instead of having a dedicated button for such actions, you now must mess around with the FN and for other F keys, which is awkward as this could cause you to accidentally invoke in-game actions unintentionally. But maybe that’s just me.

The mouse is decent. It is sturdy and comfortable to hold. The buttons work with a crisp action and you can adjust the DPI. I am not sure how well it will serve really serious gamers, but for the price, it is a perfectly good mouse. It does what it needs to do under normal usage conditions and for casual gaming.

For the price, I really cannot fault this mouse and keyboard; dedicated media controls would have made it better (but not worth taking a star off for), but beyond that, for casual gaming and home office work, it is a good value and good quality combo.

Tecknet X701 keyboard and mouse se
Note I received this product at a discount for an honest review.

The keyboard and mouse arrived it Tecknet’s standard easy to open box. The box does have two compartments, the smaller of which contains the mouse itself.

The keyboard and mouse are both plug and play, and both can be backlit. The keyboard back light can be changed to red, blue and purple but the mouse is a fixed red colour.

In use both keyboard and mouse are very responsive, and the variable DPI settings of the mouse can be very useful

Overall, this is a very good keyboard and mouse set for the price paid..

    100% best budget keyboard.
his is a great keyboard and i am really shocked at the price considering you get a pretty decent mouse with it too, it comes with tons of features, probably the most most on-board software i have seen in a affordable gaming keyboard.
it comes with a “game” mode that disables the windows button from minimising your games.
there is 10 macro keys that can be easily setup along the top of the keyboard.
Three different back lights- red blue and purple with an adjustable wheel to change the brightness, and also has a “breathing” mode to display all colours.

the keys feel nice to use and you can actually improve the performance of responsive your keystrokes.
mouse has 3 DPI settings and comes with 2 function keys on the side with red LEDs.

tecknet products are always surprisingly well made for how cheap they sell. but this time they have out done themselves. if i paid 50 for the mouse and keyboard i would not feel disappointed in the quality or functions available

    Not just for gamers.
Disclaimer: I am certainly not a gamer (never play any computer games, except chess), but I find this keyboard very useful nevertheless. Specifically, the ten user-programmable keys (M1-M10) can be assigned to any combination of keys, including the special ones like Super-S or Ctrl-X or Ctrl-Alt-Y etc. This is very useful for working in Linux terminal or a console, because it saves you time typing very long commands. This is especially true while working on the console, because in X11 there are other mechanisms for assigning keyboard shortcuts available.

The mouse is a bit heavy, but it is very accurate. The keyboard is also quite heavy, but since you are not going to move it anywhere once it is setup, this is not a big issue either. Overall, I am quite happy with this purchase and can recommend it.

Great for Gamers and Non Gamers Alike
Gaming Keyboard, TeckNet Kraken LED Illuminated Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Set, UK Layout, Water-Resistant Design

I have had several Tecknet products and they have all been very well made reliable and at fantastic price and this set is no exception.

The keyboard has a great feeling like a mechanical keyboard and a good weight so it sits perfectly and doesn’t rock when in use. I bought it to replace the earlier model and i am very happy with this as i was the previous model.
Its simple plug and play straight from the box and has customisable back light in Red, Blue & Purple. You can change the colours by pressing FN and scroll lock together and alter the brightness with the dial on the top middle of the keyboard.
The keys are not noisy but i am used to a mechanical type keyboard and love the sound they make . The keys are marked clearly and easy to read and you can configure 10 programmable keys ( M1-M10 ) to store up to 40 key presses . There are also 19 keys calibrated to prevent anti-ghosting and 12 dedicated multimedia controls.

    The mouse
It is weighted like the keyboard and fits nicely in your hand withput feeling to bulky.
It has 6 built in function buttons,2 side buttons and 3 speed switch.

The cables for both are a good length so you can use them away from your PC if needed .

Tecknet offer a 2 year warranty if you register which is great and it only takes a few minutes to register.

I have come to identify Tecknet with great quality products for an absolute bargain price
I have come to identify Tecknet with great quality products for an absolute bargain price. I play a lot of games and the keyboard on my gaming laptop is great but I needed couple of keyboards. One for the office and one for the home.

Both keyboards are fairly identical so I will go through the general features first.

The keyboard comes in a great cardboard packaging which is easily recycled.

The keyboard has a great ergonomic design and a customisable backlighting colour.

The detachable wrist rest is handy as well and feels of good quality.

This particular model I really wanted for my gaming laptop and the speciallly coloured ASDF keys are very handly and so is the general design of this model which is great for gaming. The macro keys are specially handy

The mouse is great and slightly better than the other model I also bought. I won’t be using either though as I already have a weigh adjustable one. I can’t really say much about it but it seemed like a perfectly fine comfortable mouse in the few minutes I did use it for testing purposes.

Great for a budget keyboard and mouse!
Its a great keyboard and mouse, might seem a tad on the cheap side to some but i don’t see anything wrong with them, they function as well as any good keyboard and mouse should. I’ve had mine for over a year now and iv’e never had any problems til now, the ‘ # ‘ key seems be pressed when i press ‘ enter ‘ but this is due to it taking a bit of a thrashing.

One minor gripe, when it arrived, the keyboard backlight LED’s did not work at all, it would light up on the dial where you change the brightness but not the keys themselves, obviously this did not affect the performance but it just pissed me off a tad.

    Other than that,a great set.

    Good keyboard, mouse is awful.
The keyboard is absolutely fine, although – as I’ve seen in other reviews – the keys are a little small. It also feels a bit plasticky and soft but there we are. The keyboard is easy to operate, though I had to squint at the instructions in places. I like the lights on the keyboard and everything works fine.

    Pros (keyboard):
    -Nice and sturdy
-Easy to program; macro keys are useful (I’ve pre-programmed 10 salty messages to spam in chat)
-the lights are pretty; the three colours available are vibrant.
-The keys aren’t very loud (I’ve just moved on from a mechanical keyboard which I managed to break …somehow…)

    Cons (Keyboard):
-The keys feel a little small
-it feels a bit plasticky, I wonder how this will stand up against a good beating
-key presses feel a little slow

The mouse is total garbage, it’s unwieldy, ugly and the buttons aren’t programmable. I own a lot of Tecknet products and whilst very cheap this mouse is well below their usual standard. The scroll wheel doesn’t feel at all nice, and it does a middle click when pushed to the side. This is being my backup mouse but I’d sooner use an apple wireless mouse for gaming it’s that bad.

Overall, everything works, and the keyboard is decent quality, but the major let down of this product is the mouse. You could probably get a much better keyboard/mouse combo for a few extra pounds. I couldn’t go lower than 4* however because I do quite like the keyboard.

Great Value Gaming Keyboard and Mouse
What a fantastic Keyboard and mouse set this is. As usual with tecknet products, they arrived in frustration free packaging, which I always really appreciate. The keyboard is made of a very solid construction, feeling very premium with a good weight to it. The back lit keys have a nice travel to them whilst typing. It comes with 10 user definable keys, handy if you do a lot of PC gaming. You also have 3 different back light colours to choose from. with varying degrees of brightness which you can easily control with a knob controller.

The mouse is made from the same solid construction, and feels great in the hand. There’s your usual right and left click buttons along with a side mounted back and forward selection buttons. There is also a DPI selection button to change the sensitivity of the mouse. Both mouse and keyboard have a good length braided cable to them.

I’d highly recommend these items as they’re exceptional value for money.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersBudget gaming setup with a difference.
Brought this set to replace an older model that I managed to break and haven’t looked back, the keys feel more mechanical than spongy like the older model.

The keyboard has 10 user definable macro keys at the top of the keyboard which come in very handy when playing games with repetitive commands the only downside is they are saved into the keyboard and cannot be defined by profiles by software for different games so if you set M1 as “/home” it will do “/home” in whatever game or application you are running I’m yet to find some software that will override this.

The backlight on the keyboard has a great range from off to bright and even with only 3 colours its still colourful.

The mouse is a nice size and fits nicely in my big hands the built in leds are not too bright but with no way to turn them off when the pc is in sleep mode the mouse is still lit up like Blackpool illuminations, it has 2 buttons on the side which work as back and forwards buttons in browsers and file explorer and with the dpi button on the top for selecting mouse sensitivity.

Both keyboard and mouse have reasonable cable lengths which is nice for larger desks.

Overall this set is great value for money both feel very well made and sturdy if your gaming on a budget this is a sure fire win, will definitely be looking at the newer models if this one ever meets an untimely end.

Really loved this keyboard and mouse se
This keyboard is perfect for gaming or even for everyday uses. The keys are mechanical keys but they don’t make as much clicky sounds as other mechanical keyboards. There is a dial on the top and center of the keyboard which you can use to adjust the backlighting of the keyboard. The backlight has 3 different options which is easy to select without having to go to settings. You can change the light into red, blue or purple just by pressing 2 keys. Additionally, there are 10 additional buttons that you can use for shortcuts and they are easy to set! These shortcuts are very handy and I’ve been using them.

The mouse has a similar style to the keyboard and the red lighting from the inside of the mouse makes it look cool and stylish. The grip is comfortable and ergonomic so that your hand won’t be tired after awhile. It is also nicely weighted and has many buttons which are very useful even if you’re not a gamer (the side buttons can be used to go back or forward in Chrome for example)

Overall this is a nice keyboard and mouse set and is perfect for gamers and non gamers alike

Good gaming setup for a good price
A fantastic keyboard, lots of options for customization and very comfortable to use.
I had the older version of the keyboard, bought a while back, so got this one as an upgrade, and just gave away the previous one to a friend, which still works fine, but I just wanted a new one, as well as a comfortable mouse.
The M1-10 keys, which are the customiseable user defined key, are a neat feature, however they are customised on the keyboard itself (not within a software) so that can be finicky.
The only serious gripe I have about the keyboard, which really isn’t even that serious, is that the lights to indicate different locks (capslock, num lock etc.) are always blue, while the backlight can be customised to have 3 different colours
The mouse is pretty heavy and large, so it fits my huge hands perfectly.

    Otherwise well worth the price

Great keyboard and mouse, very good quality and nice to use and type on.
What a great feeling keyboard, This keyboard is very nice for the price, and also comes with a very high quality gaming mouse too, none of the others I had would work straight on my wooden desk without a mat, but this one does. The keyboard itself can be customised with 3 colours, for the other reviewers that say they are limited to only blue etc, all you have to do is press the ‘FN’ and scroll lock button together and you can change between purple, red and blue, the knob at the top middle of the keyboard is the brightness for the LED backlighting. The keys do feel a little weird at first as they are very quiet compared to a mechanical keyboard, so they feel a little spongey, but I like the feel of the keys and a constant clackclackclack can be annoying, which of course this doesn’t have. The keys are easy to read, the lighting is easy to configure, and the buttons which can be configured (M1-M10) are handy for storing up to 40 keypresses on each one. All in all the mouse is brilliant, well weighted and a good size, and the keyboard is a pleasure to type on.

Item was delivered promptly, suitably packed to prevent in-transit damage. Simple plug and play into the computer tower. Keyboard has a nice soft key feel when using it. This product would have received a full 5 stars, but it is advertised as having 3 different colours “Red, Blue and Purple”. When changing the backlit keys, I only have the option of red and blue. I have not contacted the seller regarding this as it is only a minor aesthetic issue and does not affect the function of the product itself. The mouse is very responsive and feels ergonomically nice.

    Nice looking and sturdy.
I bought this to go with my son’s gaming computer. He found it a bit buggie, so he opted to use a different keyboard.
I decided to try it myself and it is perfectly usable. Very occasionally it does type a whole bunch of 7’s when I’m not even touching the keyboard. A bit odd, but not really a problem for me.
I only gave 4 stars because it couldn’t be used for the purpose it was intended for, and is a little buggie.
This keyboard appears to be well made and sturdy. It’s quite heavy. Everything is in the right place, eg ” and @ are where you expect them to be. On some keyboards these characters are reversed.
    Overall I’m happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersSupremo! Good! Excellent!
Received this today after a previous Logitech packed out on me during a game of CS:GO. Being an avid nerd, I considered that like the L’Oreal adverts, I too was worth it and decided that I would treat myself to a Gaming Keyboard. Having scoured the internet I looked up Corsair, Razer, Roccat et al, but I am a financial concious computer nerd. I want maximum nerd for maximum value.

Low and behold, this keyboard came into my life. It looks good, acts good, and is good on your wallet.

It is very well constructed, and has a good weight to it. Previous reviewers have commented that it is a large keyboard – so what? It’s comfortable and the tactile response is good, almost as good as a mechanical keyboard. The WASD keys are even solid red, very useful when you’re dashing to the keys quickly. And if you don’t like red? There’s also Blue and Purple to choose from. The world is your oyster, relatively speaking.

In short. Hand over your money. It’s that damn good.
