    Nice sturdy keyboard
Happy with this purchase, turned up next day, worked straight off the bat no issues at all.

To confirm this keyboard is both USB A and USB C in case anyone was wondering.

Also received a nice email from the seller checking in if everything was ok and if we wanted an additional 2 years warranty.

    Wired keyboard
I chose the wired keyboard because there can be interference with multiple signals, WiFi and 2.4hz if I chose the infrared or Bluetooth options.
I chose this specific wired keyboard because it is a mac keyboard, but is also compatible with Windows.
I use Mac for personal and Windows for work, so I’m glad I can use this keyboard for both.
The backlights were also what swayed me, as I usually work in dimly lit rooms, and so need the keyboard backlight. I tested it. It works well.
The keyboard is not noisy. It sounds the same as my Microsoft surface laptop.
    Very pleased. Thank you.

An excellent alternative to the Apple extended keyboard
I am nearly 80 and I was finding that I was mistyping a lot on my Apple keyboard due to the key layout and soft travel. My typing with this Techurs keyboard has improved. Although the keyboard is almost the same size as the Apple one, the keys seem to be larger ‘targets’ so I can hit them more accurately. The rounded corners on the keys plus the clear lettering give me more accurate typing. Very please with it.

    Mac Keyboard Backli
I recently upgraded to this backlit Mac keyboard, and it has completely transformed my typing experience. The quiet keys are a dream to type on, and the full-size layout ensures that I can work comfortably for extended periods. I love the plug-and-play functionality, which made setup a breeze. The LED backlighting is adjustable, allowing me to customize the brightness to suit my preferences. The sleek silver design perfectly complements my Mac setup, adding a touch of elegance to my workspace. Overall, it’s a fantastic keyboard that combines style and functionality seamlessly.

Nice look/feel. Only the basic keys work as labelled.
Nice looking. Easy to type (though not silent). It’s seems to be about as close a fit as any for replacing the standard Mac keyboard. Quiet, soft touch, easy on the eye. The seller did request feedback but did so politely and wasn’t pushy. All in all, if the keyboard lasts I’ll find it very good value.

    Seems well made
Arrived faster than expected and very well packaged, My son says this looks like the real deal and is working well so far with his MAC laptop. Will have to see how durable and well it lasts when being used. But so far so good.

    Excellent keyboard, comfortable to use
I never expected to have so much joy from a keyboard, but here I am. I really like this keyboard. I’ve used all kinds of keyboards, wired and wireless. Finally, I was sick of the wireless keyboards always disconnecting and the lag in response etc. I could really use the extra USB that the old mac keyboards had. This keyboard has a USB C connector with an adaptor to use as a USB A connector. The layout is entirely Mac. I needed a wired keyboard so my MacBook would wake up on command. My other Bluetooth keyboard would drop out and cause me to have to open the laptop to wake it up. This setup is perfect. Though I love most things Apple, I haven’t particularly liked their keyboards. This keyboard is perfect for me, even though it’s wired and doesn’t have the ‘finger ID’ key. The keyboard appears well designed and fits with the overall mac aesthetic look. What it does have is a nice tactile response when typing, as well as a light clickety-clack. It’s backlit, meaning I can type away in all absence of light. The backlight has 3 settings low/medium/high. It has rubber feets which prevents it from slipping. The keyboard itself is slightly raised in the back (compared to Apple’s), making it much easier to see the keys. The keys are also a bit higher on the keyboard, which makes it easier to tap. And it’s at fraction of the price of Apple’s. I have used for nearly a month and haven’t found a single thing to complain about.

Though this is advertised as a Mac keyboard, you can also use it with Windows PC. It works perfectly, only thing is that the keys are all labelled in Mac language. The ‘option’ button in Windows is the ‘Windows’ button and the ‘command’ button is ‘Alt’ button for Windows.

This keyboard is of great quality and value at a fraction of the original Apple keyboard.

Good looking and great to use!
A great keyboard for the price! Straight away this feels high quality and has a touch of class about it. It fella well crafted and looks the part. It will make your workspace look slightly more luxurious.

The keyboard itself has both a usb c and regular usb connection which is great as I can switch depending what other items I have connected to my laptop. The backlight is also a major bonus if I’m typing away in the corner of the room while my other half is still dozing.

The keyboard works really well and is plug and play with no issues at all. Really happy with both the performance and look of this item! Really classes up my little workspace!

A bargain for the price in my eyes!

    Nice action on the keys
This keyboard is of a fairly good standard, the weight of it adds to the quality feel as cheaper keyboards tend to be light, this has a nice reassuring weight to it.
The materials used also add to the quality feeling you get and this is also carried over into the keys.
I am not sure what a scissor type is but they certainly work well here.
At the current discounted cost of under 23 this represents very good value, as it feels like it would be more (which is usually is) so if you see this on sale at this price it’s a great deal. At full price it’s fine too, but there are plenty of other options to check against to ensure you get good value.
Very stylish and keeps within the apple aesthetics and the backlighting is tastefully done too.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersValue for money replacement keyboard
This is a well-made keyboard, with a slim design that is slightly angled. It’s on rubber feet, so it doesn’t slide around. The key layout is very similar to the original keyboard and does have the Mac key shortcuts on it. There are differences and extra keys, but they are easy to get used to. It comes with an adaptor so that you can use it with both USB-A and USB-C ports, giving you more flexibility with other devices.

Under test, I found the keys nice to press, and they don’t make a lot of sound. Fast typing is no problem at all. While using this keyboard, I got the same feeling of high quality as if I was using a genuine Apple product. I like the pleasant, bright backlight, with three levels of brightness, allowing me to happily use this in a dimly lit room. The long lead lets me use the keyboard some distance away from the computer. This keyboard fully works with Windows computers, too. Just need to bear in mind that the keys are labelled for Apple; like the ‘option’ button, which on Windows is the ‘win’ button, and the ‘command’ button that corresponds to the ‘Alt’ button on Windows. Some are in different positions, like the ‘left Ctrl’ button, which is swapped for the ‘function’ button next to it. I didn’t find a downside to this keyboard except that the backlighting should reach to the edges to make it even, but I could see all the keys fully in my dim lighting.

This is a lovely, well-thought-out keyboard that I have no problem recommending. Good value for money too as it is way cheaper than original Apple products yet delivers on quality and feel.

    what a keyboard
I wanted a smarter keyboard that better suited my apple devices at home and come across this Tecurs Mac keyboard. The product looks very stylish, matches the style of apple devices and looks to have great functionality.

The keyboard arrives well package in a blue box and once unwrapped comes with a USB c connector with a USB adaptor so this keyboard can be used with other devices. The keyboard on initial impressions looks very well put together and is fairly easy to type on, one observation is there are no adjustable legs on the rear which i found strange for a keyboard, it’s permanently fixed in a raised position. I guess this is not so much of an issue because it’s very rare i would have my keyboard completely flat.

In regards to functionality the keyboard is backlit with 3 levels of adjustment, this works brilliantly as you can tailor the level of brightness to you’re requirements. The keyboard also has a lot of Mac shortcuts and features which are very handy too! This is a full size keyboard too with a very useful number pad, i find this particularly useful as i use excel frequently.

The Keyboard is quite nice to type on and very comfortable with good response from the keys. Another useful feature i found is that the keyboard has indicator lights for caps lock and num lock. Overall this is a high functionality keyboard with lots of features and also stylish at a reasonable price. It’s perfect to accompany your existing apple products.

    Good wired replacement keyboard
This Mac keyboard offers a seamless input experience across Apple devices, including Apple, MacBook, and iMac, ensuring compatibility and unified functionality.

Featuring a 2-in-1 dual interface design with USB-A and Type-C connectors, this USB-wired keyboard easily connects to iMac and MacBook devices without requiring additional adapters. Its wired connection eliminates the need for batteries or charging, ensuring a stable and uninterrupted connection during use.

An adjustable white backlight enhances usability, allowing users to effortlessly toggle the backlight on/off and adjust brightness levels to suit different lighting environments.

The keyboard sports a full-size design with a British layout and a complete row of macOS shortcuts, granting quick access to controls like Home, Brightness, and Volume. Additionally, the inclusion of a numeric keypad simplifies number entry and basic calculations.

Engineered with a refined scissor mechanism, this keyboard delivers a comfortable and responsive typing experience, promoting ergonomic use. Its durability, capable of withstanding up to 5 million keystrokes, ensures a long lifespan.

However, while this keyboard excels in its Mac compatibility and sturdy design, users might find the lack of wireless connectivity as a downside for those preferring cordless setups.

In summary, the Mac keyboard stands out for its seamless integration with Mac devices, versatile connectivity, adjustable backlighting, ergonomic design, and durable build, making it an excellent choice for Mac users seeking a reliable and comfortable typing experience across various Apple platforms.

    Decent spare keyboard
I ordered this keyboard to use with my MacBook when video editing. The extra keys have functions not available on the built in keyboard.

It looks nice, backlit lights in three brightnesses or off, OK feel to the keys, not the same feel as an Apple keyboard but as it is a fraction of the price one can’t expect it to be equal.

It’s lightweight and I use it to rest across the keys of my MacBook leaving the track pad exposed still.

It works straight away when plugging it in, but it presses on the laptop keys. If you plan on using it this way look into a free open source app from Karabiner-Elements, a system app which you can opt to disconnect the inbuilt keyboard just by plugging in this external keyboard. I have done this and everything is now as I would like it.

It’s not thin like the apple keyboard, but it is not too thick, lightly angled and lightweight.

Biggest gripe? It’s not bluetooth, meaning I have to use up a valuable USB port to operate it. Though it does come with a combined USB-C/USB-A connector. It is USB powered so no batteries needed which is a saving grace.

Good Value Keyboard that will Substitute for the Apple Original
Although this keyboard is headlined as being for Apple Mac computers I got it to use with my iPad Pro and it works fine. In fact I am typing this review on it now. My set-up involves a lot of cables, but using a multiport adapter I have my Dell wide screen monitor connected by HDMI, a Logitech wireless mouse connected through a USB-A dongle, this keyboard through its USB-C option and a USB-C power connection keeping the iPad alive.
I am not familiar with Apple keyboards and other reviewers will no doubt draw comparisons.
The illumination of the keys with four levels including OFF is a nice feature, but the light level is not uniform and could have been done better.
The provision of a USB-C to USB-A captive adapter is welcome with both standards having widespread use.
I connected the keyboard to my Windows 7 PC and after downloading drivers it worked fine, although my unfamiliarity with the keyboard’s layout made using it difficult.
The construction is solid, with a white plastic body and brushed aluminium surrounding the keys. It sits on six rubber feet that stop it sliding around on the desk and present it at a slight angle of about 7 degrees, if the spirit-level on my iPhone is to be believed.
The keys respond to pressure in a uniform way and response time is quick, apart from the Shift-Lock key that needs to be held down a fraction of a second before it locks and the green LED illuminates. I don’t know if this is a normal feature of Apple products, and those mimicking them, but the Magic Keyboard on my iPad Pro behaves in exactly the same way.
This is a good value keyboard if you are happy with it being wired. I see the an original Apple one of similar design, but with wireless connectivity, is almost one hundred pounds more.

A decent alternative to the official Mac keyboard
I’ve been using the official Apple keyboard that comes with the various Macs I’ve had for over 20 years now. My current Mac keyboard is about 12 years old and still works perfectly, however after my partner ruined her keyboard by spilling coffee on it, I thought that I had better get a backup keyboard for our household in case she did it again!

This is a good keyboard for sure, but I still prefer using the official keyboard from Apple. Bear in mind though that the official Apple keyboard now costs around 180! It is wireless however and this one isn’t.

The typing action is okay. The buttons are more rounded than the official keyboard and I’m not so keen on them. There are some differences in layout with this keyboard, but they aren’t major. It also sits quite high on the desk but you soon get used to it. I don’t like the fact that it doesn’t have any USB ports on it. My mouse is plugged into my Apple keyboard, however most people have wireless peripherals now and would use a wireless mouse anyway.

The backlight is interesting and would be quite useful I think. It has three levels of light which is easily switched by a button on the keyboard. This keyboard also has some decent shortcut keys for various standard uses.

It feels a bit like a PC keyboard and this might put some people off. Many people might also be put off by the fact that this is a wired keyboard. Do people still want to have wired keyboards? I prefer wired keyboards (hence the reason I ordered this), but many others like the freedom of wireless gadgets with their sparkling new Apple computer.

Anyway, overall I think this is a decent keyboard that appears to be well made and looks nice, but for me at least, it doesn’t have the same feel as the official Mac keyboard that I have used for many, many years. It will certainly be fine as a backup keyboard for me though, should my old one go wrong. Recommended.

Mac focused, works in Windows with some adjustment to muscle memory...
Picked up for review as I have both PCs and Macs in the household and have used both the Apple Mac chiclet-style keyboard and a modded(DIY) mechanical keyboard as my daily driver.

This compares reasonable well and my hen-scratching hunting and pecking didn’t have any appreciable increase in error rate on this keyboard compared to my daily driver.

The chiclet scissor-style mechanism has a shorter travel than I’m used to so I could be faster with more practice.

Media keys work in Windows (FN-top row) and I’m sure I’ll get used to the position of the LEFT CTRL key which is one key in from it’s normal position on most UK ISO layout keyboards.

Another example of Apple doing things the Apple way.

    TL,DR;
Great for a less expensive Apple compatible keyboard and passable if you switch between Macs and PCs.

Nice keyboard if you don’t mind wires
I am not a fan of wired keyboards at all – but picked this one to keep near my hotdesk for days I’m in the office.

For this price I’m impressed by how well it works. I’m a touch typer, around 70wpm and know immediately if a keyboard is “off”. These keys press well, have good carry return and are pretty quiet. It’s somewhat similar to an external Mac official keyboard, but with extra keys.

It’s cleverly designed to both be able to be plugged into USBC and USBA which is great, as who needs to have another adaptor for something? I sure don’t.

I don’t have any need or desire for backlit keyboards, but this has the feature. It’s controlled by a dedicated button on the keyboard itself (NOT through Mac OS). You get three levels of brightness toggled by pressing a dedicated button.

My one issue with this keyboard is that there are extra unnecessary keys in it, and where you expect important keys, they are replaced with something else. If you look at my photo, you can see this keyboard (white) compared to a rather high end Mac bluetooth keyboard. The bottom right has a backlight brightness function and a key with a globe printed on it, which I can’t figure out for the life of me what it’s supposed to do. CMD & OPT are missing on the right side too.

But if are OK with wires, this is a great keyboard.

    VERY PRACTICAL KEYBOARD
You can tell when you first examine the keyboard it is made from rigid plastic . That said It has a nice silver finish to blend in with Apple aluminium architecture. I like this keyboard as it is a fraction of the price of an Apple keyboard for the extended keyboard. The keyboard layout and shortcuts are as per the extended Apple keyboard with a numeric keypad. It’s ideal for me doing a lot of spreadsheets. The angle of the keyboard is raised at the back making it a comfortable angle to type. The connection is by USB A or comes with an adapter for USB-C is a nice touch making it useful for iPad and MacBooks . I tested the keypad with my iPad Pro direct plug in and main IMac PC via a Anker 7 port USB hub whilst doing this review and it works fine. It has the same trouble spelling as my MAC keyboard.
The keys are soft touch and very responsive. I like the short cuts F1-F12 which are identical to a MAC keyboard in that they lighten the IMAc display operate the forward and back for music including an eject key. The command and control keys are also identical to the Apple keyboard layout. The backlight is controlled by a key to the right of the space bar and has 3 intensity levels and off.

    It’s ok
I’m a huge fan of the old style wired MacBook keyboards that obviously apple don’t sell anymore.

This doesn’t quite live up to that but still isn’t a bad option.

Here are the issues I’ve found:

    – Feels a bit “honey-like”. On the old mac keyboards, there would be initial resistance, followed by zero resistance all the way through the press until you hit the base abruptly. On these, the resistance is the same all the way down, and it doesn’t really impact the bottom. Your finger just kind of stops.

    – I don’t use the caps lock key so I don’t care, but on my one it literally only registers half the time if you whack it, which feels horrible (see video).

    – The backlight isn’t consistent at all. You can’t really see in the picture but half of the keys aren’t really lit up properly (especially when from viewed behind, rather than above the keyboard, which is where you’ll actually use it).

    – The viewing experience is actually worse during the day as the low brightness lowers the contrast between the white of the keys and the white of the partial back light.

    – It took me a little while to figure out that you have to manually turn the back light on with a button. It won’t remember your setting either if you unplug it.

    – It uses the [new] MacBook keyboard layout (putting FN where CTRL should be) which I hate. It means if you use both windows and mac in your workflow you have to unlearn your hand positions. One of the reasons of buying a keyboard like this is to avoid this silly design choice.

Overall, in a pinch this keyboard will be fine, I do like the option to use usb C or usb A. It means you never will forget the dongle.
