I needed a surge protector to replace a flat, older model that wouldn’t accept a bigger plug that was needed. This chubby tower style sits unobtrusively on its shelf, and does not keel over like other vertical extension towers sometimes do. The switches feel substantial and the sockets are accessible. As a result, my cable tv box and modem can sit squarely on their shelf without being pulled out of place. I’m very happy with my purchase.
Neat Towe
Has enabled me to tidy my desk by doing away with multiple trailing cables for one neat plugin location on desk. The 5 meter cable gives flexibility for desk location. Also, I have a black desk, therefore, the tower camouflages neatly. Integrated USB outlets extends utility……excellent design all round
So neat and tidy
Really good quality and plenty of sockets. I work from home and was struggling with ‘normal’ extensions – had to have 2 and 1 of them had the cable trailing across the room which was a trip hazard. This piece of kit just sits on my desk and accommodates all my office equipment. Very pleased.
This thing is a beast of a power unit. (UK 3 Pin)
I will admit first of all I didn’t fancy tackling the wiring around my desk but I’m glad I did, saying that I’ve still got 4 sockets and five USBS to use and it’s not even getting warm.
I’m running my laptop, several hard-drives and an external monitor on this thing and it’s more than standing it’s ground (Standing on the desk actually). If you can visualize this as a tower block you have a button where you can turn on or off a floor of sockets as it’s four sockets around by three sockets high.
The only thing I would like to see on something like this would be a digital display on top showing how much power it’s pulling in as it’s rated as 3250Watts which is the maximum draw for a UK wall socket so that I could make sure I was within the limits. The 6 USBs come in handy too for charging various devices.
It’s good
It’s really good, all outlets works fine including usb’s..doesn’t have too much annoying led lights like my previous extension(had to cover them with black stickers) it’s only been less than a month since I received it and so far so good, hope it lasts for a long time 🙂
Great extension lead
I needed an extension lead for a room with very few wall plug points. This has surge protection, a load of plug points, individual on off switches per level allowing me to turn off some electronics when not in use and makes the room look more neat rather having multiple extension leads. Great product!
Compact uni
Well made and functions faultlessly since receiving the unit 2 weeks ago. Take significantly less space taken than the 2 multi point strips it replaced. Adopting a wiring harness from the leads of12 sockets made easy due to consolidation of the power outlet layout.
A versatile piece of kit.
This is a compact tower that sits at the back of the footwell under my desk and neatly powers all of my pc equipment and printers, as well as my BT digital voice adaptor. I particularly like the USB ports that make charging cables for ‘phone, TomTom etc. easily accessible without having to compete for ports on my desktop. Appears to be sufficiently well made, and banks of 4 sockets can be turned off at the press of a switch if needed.
Greatly replaces a litter of extension sockets
I had several extension sockets with cables from all directions at my feet and didn’t think Tower sockets were the answer but this more stubby block has taken all plugs and sits neatly away from my feet which can now move wherever they like. Not very important but as it has switches with lights they could make them seeable though a main light is bright if not hidden from view. Hence the drop of a sta
Extension towe
Brilliant, well made and good value for the money. I bought it for my son for his pc and all the other things he needs to plug in, he did have a tower but you couldn’t use all the sockets if you had transformer plugs, ( of which most electronic plugs are) but this tower is much more accommodating. I would recommend it.
Very convenient, makes wiring easier.
Today’s TVs require lots of sockets – for us, there’s the TV, firestick, Virgin box, sound bar, woofer, router. Then there’s lamps (2) and a photoframe and a Christmas tree (actually one of the lamps). Altogether, that’s 9 plugs requiring 9 sockets! (Actually 10 sockets because one of the lamps is controlled by Alexa via a smart plug whose width takes up two sockets).
Previously, we had a six socket bar with a 4 socket bar chained to it. Apart from the danger of overloading, we couldn’t use the vauum cleaner, etc. without disconnecting something and unplugging items overnight required physically removing the plug (and trying not to unplug the router by mistake – otherwise no wifi for about half an hour).
This tower has 10 sockets in 4 blocks of 3. What a difference! Everything can be accommodated with 2 sockets to spare. And we can switch off items overnight with the push of a button.
Although it doesn’t help a lot with tidying the wiring, it does allow smarter positioning and so makes the wiring neater.
We are very pleased with it and would recommend it.
Functional & Nice Appearance
This has been a Godsend for me, the Tower sits stable on my desk, has an acceptable set of plugin points (nice light indicators) and being able to turn off the individual rows with the side buttons is useful, the surge and overload indicator lights are clearly visible too. It saves me bending to unplug a floor based extension lead. Looks and feels like a quality product, still early days.
