A headlamp for outdoor adventures
This is a game changer for those who spend time outdoors, whether it be camping, running, fishing, or hiking. After putting this headlamp to the test, I found that it makes a valuable addition to any adventurer’s gear. However, there are a few areas where it could improve, which is why I’m giving it a solid 4 stars. The headline feature of this headlamp is undoubtedly its brightness because it delivers a super bright beam that can easily light up the darkest environments. Also, the hands-free operation is another standout feature because the gesture sensing technology allows you to turn the light on and off with a simple wave of your hand, which is incredibly convenient when your hands are full or dirty. On the one hand, it’s convenient not to have to worry about replacing batteries, and the charging process is easy. However, with such high lumens, the battery life does drain relatively quickly on the highest settings. Also, the multitude of modes can be a bit overwhelming to cycle through. Overall, the product is a powerful and great tool that will easily enhance your outdoor adventures with its brightness, hands-free functionality, and waterproof design make it a reliable choice for a wide range of activities. Although, some minor drawbacks like battery life and mode navigation, it’s an excellent value for the price and well worth considering for anyone in need of a useful headlamp.
Excellent head ligh
Very bright battery lasts a while etc . Used for dog walking odd vehicle repairs etc . I’m unsure how long it will last with constant recharging every week but given the price it’s worth a pu
Excellent produc
Really impressed with this light. Great for dog walking on dark mornings and early evening, and on my riding hat to increase visibility when riding in traffic or hacking in the dark.
The multiple options for lighting are great.
Highly recommended.
It simply has too many modes
It is light and bright; lighter and brighter than the item it replaces. I’m not a runner, but I could imagine wearing this light to go running, whereas the previous one was definitely too heavy to be comfortable in that use.
The charging connector is USB-C which so far is a definite improvement over the micro-USB one my old headtorch. As far as I can discover the batteries can’t be removed/replaced. That may or may not be problem in future. The LED window showing what % it is charged is an improvement on what I had before.
I’ve not used it for more than a couple of hours at a time and I put it on charge as soon as I get in, so it’s hard to judge how long it will last. Based on what I observed when I used it for a couple of hours I guess it would last 5-6 hours on a full charge – longer if one used one of the less bright modes.
That brings me to the various modes: there are simply too many of them. Main beam full bright; main beam dimmed; main beam strobing; and one setting with the main beam off would be enough. At least one can long press the power button to switch off without cycling through all 12 modes.
I guess some people will find the gesture setting useful but to me it is pointless and a pain in the neck. I once got in the car with the torch on gesture mode, and the sunshade was close enough to trigger it. Also when I stopped in the chippy on the way home from a walk, the person to whom I was chatting got a fraction too close and was ‘blinded by the light’ (showing my age here!).
In summary it does everything I want of it – and I may even find uses for more of the lighting modes – who knows?
Fantastic head torch
I bought this for doing some work in the loft. it was 80% charged when it arrived and only took about ten minutes to fully charge. I used it straight away and the light it gives out is amazing. I used it for about 45 minutes on full beam and it went down to 78%.
It is also light and comfortable to wear.
The only thing I can’t say at the moment is how the batteries will perform over a year or two, but based on what I’ve experienced today, I would certainly recommend it.
This is far and away the best headlight I’ve owned. It’s probably slightly bulky for running but would be great on a bike. I personally use it just for going in the garage or barbecuing in the dark but it has improved the ease of those jobs no end. The controls are slightly unintuitive but once you realise it remembers your settings if you leave it on for 10 seconds or more, it’s fine
This is a very good and bright head torch. Dependent on your usage, the battery life time is approximately only 6 hours. The positive is that the recharging time is only 30 minutes for a full recharge.
Very brigh
Perfect for working in the loft or in tight spaces. The different brightness available and the colours adopt to your liking and the red light great for warnings. The on off feature by swiping your hand is clever too.
Versatile
Great versatile torch which is particularly suited to late night walkers/runners due to the additional lights on the back. Good all round illumination thanks to the LED strip. Good balance of brightness to battery longevity.
So far so good
Bought this as a replacement for a headband I got for Christmas that suddenly died for no reason. Came same day delivery and while the choice of options is bewildering, once set you hold down the button to turn it off then when you turn it back on it remembers your setting and starts off with that one. took the dogs out on to an unlit field and it was great. The side panels lit an area round me so I could see what was happening and the torch had a great range and I could see quite a distance. If I had a complaint it would be I’d like the side panels to stretch wider round the head for a bigger lit area, but that’s a small nitpick. A very good product so far.
Head Torch Purchase
The head torch is light and sits comfortably on your head, even with a bobble hat on. The settings on the front and back lights are good & varied. Very good brightness whilst walking in the dark with no street lighting. The only thing I would say is that as you can’t position the front light to a different angle you need to have the torch quite low on your forehead if you want the beam to right in front of you, which does work well as once it is positioned on your head it doesn’t move.
