It works and looks better than a biscuit tin!
There’s not much to say about this really except it works and looks better than a shady old biscuit tin.
The kitchen worktop usually has a an old tin full of car keys, this looks more like a jewellery box, much more aesthetically pleasing.
To test it I simply walked up to the car holding the keys as usual and it unlocked as I approached as expected. I locked it, returned to the house, put the key in the Faraday box, closed it and carried it towards the car. Even standing right next to the door the key was not detected.
At 16.99 this is a big improvement to my kitchen worktop and car security.
An absolutely must-have item
This is a Faraday cage in an attractive box. The box blocks all radio signals from phones, phones, wallets and car keys. Just place inside and thieves will have a lot of trouble finding your car keys. The box also comes with 2 credit card sized card RF blockers to prevent people from cloning your debit or credit cards. A very good piece of kit and well worth the cost. The box is big enough to place keys and a phone in.
Car Key Signal Blocker Box
I’ve never worried about having my car key cloned, but this seems like a good opportunity to start thinking about it – especially as I just leave my keys on the side, where I could easily put them in a box at no extra effort.
The box looks better than I was expecting. The listing images are fairly representative, and it is well made and looks good with existing decor because of the fairly neutral colour. It is essentially a double walled box with a metal clasp. It is a bit tight when it comes to closing the lid, and the clasp can be a bit fiddly, but it closes properly with a bit of effort.
I had no idea how to test the box with my car keys, so I put my mobile phone in and tried ringing it. No connection – which I assume means it works.
In addition, it comes with some two RFID cards which I meant to be put in a wallet or purse – either side of all of your credit cards. My wallet only holds three cards, so using both of these is not practical for me, but worth it if you have the space or the inclination to use.
Works perfectly
This is a good box that actually works nice colour plain and simple so will go with most decor comes with 2 card protection too. I put my phone in the box and fully closed the lid and my phone lost all signal and WiFi took out and within seconds everything came back. This is great for keeping you car keys and phone safe
Great storage box for essentials.
I found this to be a great quality storage box. It’s perfect for my needs of storing my essentials from keys to wallet.
I think the box both looks great as well as feeling like a sturdy product. The only thing I’m not too fond of is that its not the easiest to open. But its a product i enjoyed none the less.
Hope you found my review helpful.
Faraday box for keys
Quite a large sized faraday box. Very sturdy, well made and can fit in plenty. Looks quite nice too. Can fit multiple items in to keep them safe. Good value for money, great item
Works - looks good - but one of the screws fell out!
This RFID box does what it says – it blocks signals. So nobody can clone your car keys, and also this is a very beautiful and elegant-looking place to dump your keys so they are A) Where they are supposed to be, and B) Not making an unsightly mess on the hall table.
The box closes firmly – you have to push it down – and the catch snaps in place. It does not have a lock, but doesn’t need one because that is not the point.
This box is additionally large enough to hold an iPhone 15 Pro – if you have a larger phone, measure first. Therefore, if you want an elegant box to put your phone in, out of sight and out of mind, to aid your evening relaxation, this is a good choice.
The only disadvantage is that – after only a few days – I spotted a tiny gold screw lying next to the box. It didn’t take much investigation to figure out that it had fallen out of the catch, which is held in place with four ( or three) tiny gold crosspoint screws. Fortunately, I had a tiny crosspoint screwdriver to screw it back in place. Hopefully it will hold, otherwise glue will be employed. But a bit of a disappointment for an otherwise very beautiful and useful item.
Great Faraday box that doesn't look out of place
Many people leave their car keys on their hall table, which can lead to car theft through the use of repeaters. This is designed to prevent that by blocking out all RF signals. And it certainly does the job.
I paired my phone to Wifi and dropped it into the box. Within a few seconds, the router had lost contact with my phone. I left it in there overnight and found in the morning that there had been no notifications or activity received by the phone. On taking it out, it reconnected and the flood of messages resumed. So it works.
What I especially liked is that it looks rather nice. Other such devices can look a bit gaudy and out of place on a hall table, but this is discreet and pleasant-looking, so it fits nicely with just about any dcor. The locking catch is solid and engages positively and the lid seals quite tightly. It might take a little getting used to the securing of the box, but it’s not a bother.
I was pleased to see some RFID-blocking cards in the package. I’m not sure how well those operate, but it’s a nice bonus.
It makes it perfectly easy to come home, drop your keys and phone in the box and be undisturbed until retrieving them. And you’re safe from key fob repeaters in the meantime. Very nice indeed.
It works!
This represents an aesthetic step-up from the old steel biscuit tin I was using to keep my car keys in. You get to an age where garish colours and Paddington Bear might look a little off-brand.
This is fairly neutrally styled, although the clasp is a little on the bling side for my taste. As a faraday cage it works well enough – if the lid is fully closed, which is what I’d expect. The lid is rather tight, and so is really a two-hander when it comes to opening and closing it. That’s a touch of a shame, given how we’re sometimes juggling stuff on our way in and out of the house. It’s hardly an Earth-shattering issue, though.
It comes with 2 cards it says you can leave next to you key fob etc to protect them. I’ve not used them, and I doubt I ever will.
Recommended.
WHonor Car Key Signal Blocker Faraday Box
This is a good sized faraday box to hold you car keys etc safe. It’s probably the same size as a small jewelry box – certainly enough to hold at least three sets of keys and more. It’s of a neutral colour and actually goes well in the location we normally store our keys (used to be in an open bowl next to the door – which obviously wasn’t the safest place for them!).
The blocking feature works well — testing it with a keyless car (the type you just need the keys nearby to start) we accidentally set the car alarm off because it didn’t detect the key!
The gold coloured latch is a little less “neutral” and, personally, I think detracts a little from the overall look of the box – especially as it had some damage to it.
The lid fitted very snugly, as others have said, when generally means you need to open with two hands and push closed with a bit of force – perhaps a little too snug?
I’ve docked one star just for the finishing .. the damage to the latch as mentioned above, along with some areas of slightly worn looking material, and some loose material around the padding on the inside of the lid, but if you’re not too worried out these minor issues I’d highly recommend it.
In addition to box itself, as an added bonus it comes with two RFID credit card sized blocking cards.
The Ultimate Guardian for My Car Keys!
The modern world faces the emerging issue of keyless car theft, but the Car Key Signal Blocker Faraday Box is a perfect solution. I bought one of these boxes and was truly amazed by its appearance. Nevertheless, this box does not only look good; the WHonor box is designed to block all signals securely, so I never have to worry about signal boosters trying to steal my car. In addition to its excellent quality, the WHonor Faraday Box can store all the keys, including my phone and credit cards. Speaking of those, I cannot mention the two supplied RFID blocking cards; they gave me confidence that no one could collect my money via contactless payment theft. The high quality of materials and manufacturing indicates that this box is reliable and durable. Therefore, I can say that the WHonor Faraday Box is practical and stylish; it would make an excellent present for my friends and family. I am delighted with my purchase of Faraday Box by WHonor. This device is stylish and secure and successfully protects my car key and some other critical stuff. The RFID blocking cards are a good gift from the manufacturer, thus I am ready to give the maximum score of 5 to this perfect essential guardian.
Seems to work
Ok, so a lot of RFID and Faraday stuff promise a lot but rarely deliver.
This one seems to work! First, I tried setting up wi-fi tethering on my phone, connected with my computer, and put the phone in the box. A few seconds later, the wi-fi disconnected. First test passed.
Then, I decided to leave it on overnight, connected to the residential wi-fi, inside the box. When I woke up this morning and took my phone out, I didn’t have a single notification or anything. About 10 seconds later, e-mails, text messages, Whatsapp, and other 5G or Wi-Fi network connected things popped up. Second test passed!
I then tried ringing my LTE smartwatch from my phone, while the watch was in the box. No ringing, “The number you are dialling is not available” message on the phone. Third test, passed!
I have yet to try with car keys or bank/credit cards, but I’m assuming if it can block 2/3/4/5G and Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5GHz, these will be blocked too.
Great success!!!!!!
Work well
Tested it close to car and it didn’t open so can confirm it works 100%
It works only when it is fully closed.
One star less because it is hard to open it.
So propably for regular use it will be loosen and start opening itself.
But that is just my reconn, time will tell.
Anything else can’t complain.
Works fine
This RFID blocking box is supplied in a light colour with a black interior.
It needs two hands to open it as you have a suitcase-style closure clip on the front.
Tested it with my car remote. Just make sure the box is fully closed and it works fine in blocking signals.
Bonus extra it comes with two RFID-blocking cards to put in your wallet, either side of a credit card to stop any cloning going on.
Overall a thumbs up from me.
The size I wanted - no idea if it works
I was looking for a box to contain bunches of keys and other bits and pieces that are usually in the hallway and the size of the box fits my needs perfectly. As for screening the signals between the car and the keys I have to trust the manufacturer that this works as I’ve no sure way of determining this.
It works
Got this as only one on Amazon in a nice neutral colour.
Tested it on both cars and when box fully closed you can’t open either car.
Only issue is it’s a little stiff so you have to push it closed and use two hands to open it, if you don’t fully close it, it doesn’t work. So just need to remember to push it closed.
But overall really pleased with it.
