Bought this for my husband after knee surgery, to save him keep having to climb the stairs for the bathroom.
Haven’t used the female part yet, so can’t comment on that. Good value for money – feels better quality than another we have.

Sturdy plastic bottle
This is shaped similar to hospital issues but has a screw top and a flat base to stand on. They say it will hold 1lt of liquid if stood on its base with the top off is the safe limit. As long as the top is screwed on firmly when held in an upright position it will hold more. With cap screwed on correctly if dropped the cap will NOT burst off and there is no leakage. This is ideal for anyone who has prostate problems or frequent need to urinate throughout the night. There are cheaper versions available but they do not pass the drop tes
Female adapter could be made more comfortable
This device is great during days out, especially in the car. The lid screws on which is very good until you have pooprtunity to empty and wash. The female adapter could be made more comfortable by using a silicone edge, but is adequate for occasional emergencies/ use. Great value, now my car truly has everything.

if you don’t want to fight your way out of the tent each night and squat in a dark field. I just popped it in a bag and emptied down the loo next morning. Easy to get cap on and off and the ‘cup’ extension was perfect for easy peeing. Easy Peasy!

Just short of 5 stars
Although I didn’t expect perfection – for an 8 pee bottle – I would’ve ‘at least’ expected a 1p rubber seal instead of a plastic disc.
This will no doubt trap the stink (and trying to remove it might warp the plastic ruining the seal) and as it’s not a crush seal it will no doubt leak after a while.
Oh and it’s been tested and does not leak ‘yet’ and I would’ve given 5 stars if it had a rubber seal.
Very pleased with this. Was so easy to use. Only thing I did not realise you could see the contents so had to put it in a bag to go and empty it.
