I used it to kill the flying bugs does the job and looks good. Good value, our dog gets a little nervous when it makes a noise when the insects fly into it, but with reassurance he is fine, we turn it if at night so not to disturb him. Very easy to clean.

This neat little unit actually performs better than my previous UV bulb fly killer – but at a fraction of the energy. Win – win.
Following the instructions we leave it on at night, the blue light attracts the flies. This has virtually cured the fly problem in our outdoor office. It also zaps flies during the day, but the crack sound was worrying the dogs, so just leave it on at night. It works really well, not messy, easy to set up and no chemicals
This actually works just as described – awesome bit of kit – a target is dealt with a crack of a whip – very satisfying- kills everything

These things are amazing!! We had fruit flies which was so annoying, got one of these and my god do these work. They still make me jump when one gets zapped because it’s pretty loud. So good these things I purchased another. Would recommend.
This zapper arrives well packaged and taking it out of the box made me smile because it reminded me briefly of the portable radio my parents used to have in their dining room. We haven’t had much of a flying bug season yet so this review is based on use in the conservatory which is the area of my house most prone to flying insects at any time of year.
The unit really is quite light and the handle makes it particularly easy to carry and place in position. It’s also got several safety features although if there were any particularly small fingers belonging to young children I’d make sure to put this out of their reach. The lights are quite bright when the zapper is switched on and could be attractive to little people.
The first time the zapper successfully assassinated a buzzing nasty it gave such a loud almost-bang that we heard it 2 rooms away. In fact, if there’s any drawback to this unit that’s worth noting it’s the nouse it makes when an insect collides with it. Zappers like this always make a noise but this particular model seems a touch louder than several others I’ve tested. Otherwise so far so good. For the price and quality of what you get this is definitely worth considering.
