This is a straightforward, well-made fuel can that does exactly what it’s supposed to. The plastic feels durable without being overly heavy, so it’s easy to carry even when full, and the built-in handle is comfortable to grip.
The included pouring spout is a useful feature that makes refuelling much cleaner than pouring directly from the can. I also like the green colour coding, which makes it easy to distinguish from containers used for other fuels and helps avoid mistakes.
The cap seals securely with no signs of leaks, even when transported in the car’s boot, and the overall construction feels robust enough for regular use.
A practical and reliable choice for storing petrol for lawnmowers, generators, or other garden equipment.
Although it was a wee bit more expensive than my current one (bought from Woolies many moons ago!) it’s still good value for money. Initially filled it with water to check for leaks (none) and then let it dry before using it for fuel. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t do that first before filling it at the garage as there’s always a slight chance of damage in transit! Anyhoo, as with anything that has a thread, just be careful when screwing/unscrewing the lid.

Was dented when it turned up so the appearance was not good, not the sturdest can I’ve had but it safely holds the quality I require. The performance and ease of use is not good due to no seal in the spout.
It does the job
The can arrived on time and was easy to fill. Slightly more flimsy than I thought on ordering. There is a slight leak in the stopper after filing but it still does the job. Holds 5l and has been great for our Honda mower.
Buy it before you need it.
If you buy a petrol can when you desperately need one you will pay way too much. Especially if you buy at a petrol station. Just buy one now and keep it in the boot.
It does what it should and is the cheapes
I bought this for emergencies, and keep it in the car. It looks tidy and it does the trick. I don’t imagine it leaks – never tried it with fuel, and it will last as well as any other I am sure.

As a fuel container, this is fine with a low centre of gravity and a secure cap.
The spout, however, leaves a lot to be desired. The spout locates into the can with a tapered fitting and no matter how tight you screw it on, the spout is still not fully secured and fuel can drip out of the joint.
I added a rubber o-ring under the spout nut which allows the nut to be more fully tightened down and make a better seal with the can. Fortunately, I have a number of o-rings to hand but Joe Average should not have to modify something that should be designed to dispense fuel in a safe fashion. (And I’m not sure how long the o-ring may last is contact with petrol).
A one-piece spout with a moulded securing nut and internal seal (similar to the cap) would be a better solution.
