It keeps my PC nice and cool, so it doesn't overheat the interio
I really like the PC case, it has a separate compartment on one of the sides, so you don’t have to worry about wires being in the way. Plus with it having a very nice air flow design, the internal storage doesn’t overheat my PC components.
Had this case a few weeks, still early days but a 5 star from me. Its the first big dual chamber case i have bought, 3 RGB fans on the front + 1 non RGB fan at the back, the included node pro and hub for the fans control the power/colour of the fans at the front and has room for 3 more corsair RGB fans if you want to go that way,Easy to build in with loads of room, its quite high in price but its worth it! So much better that the PSU and SSDs/HDDs + most of the cables are out of the way on one side, and your other stuff is on the other side, makes it a lot more tidy, plenty of holes for cables to go through and loads of space for radiators/fans depending on what you want to go with, The Case is quality and quite heavy, if you get this case which i recommend you do, once you have built your computer and put it in place, you dont want to be moving it around often as its VERY Heavy! Great that is has 2 USB ports on the case and a USB C port, Its also got an Audio connection which is both MIC & Audio in one slot, so if you have got headphones with a mic, you dont need a splitter cable (pink and green splitter) it just plugs into the single slot on the case, The Case is a BEAST and i highly recommend it! Just make sure you measure where you want it to go before you buy to make sure it fits where you want it to go, HAPPY COMPUTER BUILDING ALL
Difficult to maste
Lovely case for cable management.
GPU needs to be a smaller two fan config if putting a radiator or aio in the case. The only place to put an aio is the front then encroaches on space for the GPU. some of the thumb screws were infuriating but got them in eventually. Supplied with a RGB hub for the fans which was a nice bonus. Standoffs are already in place for an eATX. There needs to be a few more videos explaining taking apart and putting back together this case and the pros and cons as looks huge in videos it is a big case but there’s limitations in equipment that can use. The overall aesthetic of the case is lovely as a perfect balance of white and black so could go either way with the build.
A Dream to build i
Even if it wasn’t so well-made, even if the RGB hub and ICUE software wasn’t so good, it would 100% be worth it for the ease of building. You can pop the back panel back on and lay it on its back at any point in the build without worrying about trapped cables etc. I’ve got 5 HDD in the back and there’s room for more I bought a couple more fans and header splitters and there’s still room in the hub for one more fan if you could find somewhere to put it. The front and top fans/radiator are mounted to frames held in with thumbscrews, which make them super easy to take in and out, so you’re not trying to juggle radiator and motherboard with the radiator hoses in the way. It’s really easy to clean, just open the front door and dust the surfaces, I’ve never had such a dust free machine. The airflow is great, my temps are good, It’s a fine case.
Don’t listen to the amateur reviewers and guessers, THIS is the review you need, from a professional having just tested it for 24 hours:
The Great:
It’s a GORGEOUS case! The glass panels are silky, the white finish is smoother than a chocolate bar ad.
The design is clearly engineered by techincians. Everything is where it should be and everything is easy to disassemble and reassemble, from magnetised filter strips to the pull-out filter tray at the bottom.
The Good:
Every component in existence WILL fit inside this case, but it will take some creative engineering on your part if you have a 3-fan AIO (cpu water cooler) and a 3-fan GPU (graphics card).
I’ve included pictures of my first boot to illustrate the GPU is best fitted vertically (you will need a GPU extension cable, the case does not include one) and the 3-fan water cooler radiator & fans must be fitted to the front of the case (as per seller’s diagram).
My GPU is an Asus Geforce RTX 3080 and my water cooler rad is a Gammaxx L360. As you can see, the air flow isn’t compromised and my CPU doesn’t exceed 56 degrees C while tested on high-end game running.
The case isn’t heavy or awkward, despite it’s size.
The extra screws and cable-ties are plentiful and good quality, despite what others have said.
The Corsair RGB fans and controller are high end products and produce lovely displays, much more advanced than standard 4 or 3 pin RGB controllers. There are 3 empty sockets for 3 more fans (or devices) on the existing and there is an expansion socket for a second controller if needed (allowing for 12 devices in total).
There’s 3 brackets for the old 3.5in size hard drive and 4 for 2.5in hard drives. I managed to remove the 3.5in drive holding bracket and separated the 2.5in bracket for use on its own. Again – creative engineering required!
The Bad… Yes, there’s some bad, alas…
You will be paying at least 90 of the case price just for the 3 Corsair RGB fans and controller units. If there was an option to buy without, I would have taken it as I have plentiful cheaper RGB fans I could have used. This case felt totally that Corsair are finding ways of promoting / forcing out their controllers and iCue software solutions to customers who want RGB. I like to choose, personally.
Depsite the case coming with 3 RGB fans and 1 standard exhaust fan, there was no power splitters or options provided with the case. Each fan, effectively, had no means to its own power source or switch. I wasn’t so much concerned with the exhaust fan, easily fitting to the MB ‘Sys Fan’ power pins, but nothing for the pretty fans at the front? Come on Corsair! What cost is a 3 pin fan power splitter or independent speed switch on the case somewhere?
My last niggle is that there’s no support for vertical graphics cards, despite there being two vertical PCI slots to encourage it. There’s plenty of support for the Power Supply Unit in the closed portion of the case, so why not an optional bracket just to keep the Graphics card in place? I’ve installed it as Corsair have intended me to, and the sway of the graphics card is a concern, even knocking a little on the glass panel side as I moved it. Again, for the money paid, it would have been pennies for a screw-in bracket to fit from the base to allow the card to rest…
To conclude:
It’s a 4 star, close to perfect (but not quite there) case with an awful lot going for it – but as you would expect at this price.
Be ready to fork out some more .
You will need a fan power splitter / controller / switch.
If you’ve got a 3 fan graphics card and 3 fan AIO CPU water cooler, you will need both a PCI-e extension cable and some sort of additional support bracket for the card. If you fit it horizontally, air flow will be compromised that close to the water cooler rad and anything longer than my Asus TUF RTX 3080 won’t fit horizontally at all.
If you’ve already got more Corsair RGB fans, great – you’ve got space to add them on this case. If not, get ready for a mis-match mixture of rainbow skittles that might make you turn all the RGB off to admire the dark instead!
Happy Case Hunting!
front glass
my MB asus prime b450m-k.-collers looks silence.but what i can say.they on low speed.my motherboard is miniatx.and has cha fan only 1 conector.so i need use fan spliter.bcs those fans need to be connected not to PSU.but to motherboard!yes i can control fans trough ICUE.i mean LIGHT only.box size is good.i like it.place enough.but that glass on front..what a joke.removed before turn on.its not fish inside, its PC parts.why need front glass?side ok,there no fans,so ye can be glass to see is all spinning and working.very lot and lot screws to take off that front glass.but SATA omg.they made so weird conectors,i tought that i will need return this case back.but later i found its not for motherbard, its for PSU sata.x2 conectors.instruction is bad joke.you can trow it to bin not read it.there no any info how to connect those all cables.pic in instruction not matches real stuff in case.when i saw sata x2 where is not looks like sata conectors and that usb c1 conector,i just was dead.my heart just jumped out.later found in youtube all answers.a ye why i thought its not sata, bcs 1 cable without any letters.and later i again was look at them, and i found on 1 writen S A T A. then i go youtube and found that my motherboard is realy ok.just need spliter for fans.ye no usbc in my motherboard.but idk whats that,my last is usb 3.so bit stress wehn i saw all cables in MB side, that make me think that they all go to motherboard.-but works fine.ye idk how control fans.but i guess no any option.lighting works realy cool.i m sure for xmas i dont need tree.i just need put my pc on high table, and he will do all job XD lighting realy realy cool.but for 200 eur i was think that i can control fans.exz if pc gets hot they will spin faster.but no.icua dosent have this option.200eur for lights?…but ye i dont find better case where is with separated psu and hdd with cables from cpu and gpu.keep in mind if you dont have spliter, you cant conect fans.they are 4 .and you have 1 conector “CHA”..
Best case money can buy
Admittedly, it takes a lot of money to buy one, but these cases are so roomy and customisable, I’ve purchased several of them for each of my PC setups (Although not recommended for a simple Motherboard build unless you plan on upgrading or adding further components.)
I will never deal with a standard case again. Whether you want 3 way SLI, or if you want a huge bank of hard drives, these cases are perfect.
It is also incredibly easy to hide all cables in the second section of the case. Coupled with removable tempered glass panels on the front, side and top make it useful for any PC build of any size.
Great case with lots of space for fans and radiators
I wanted to write and honest review of this case on the Corsair website in the hope they might see it and consider making improvements, but they appear to not provide for such a thing. So here is my review on Amazon instead.
This is a great case of premium quality, with lots of space inside for fans, radiators, and a mass of elaborate pipework. For those who like to go all out, I would say it could take up to 4 radiators. A triple at the front, a double at top and bottom, and a single at the rear; either 140mm or 120mm or a mix. There is also a lot of space (approx 20cm) between the mobo and the side door which is hinged for easy access. So much space in fact that the case supports a vertical GPU mount. Because the PSU mounts in the other compartment it leaves a lot space around the mobo in the main compartment for easy cable access. The separate PSU compartment also means any unsightly cable wiring remains hidden.
My biggest gripe about this case however is maintenance. The procedure needed to clean the front air intake filter means either removal of the front triple fan mount (and radiator if you have one connected) – fortunately this is a single assembly held in place by two thumb screws but which are accessed from inside the case or removal of the main front panel which is held in place by 7 screws (4 on the outside which first requires the smaller front panel to be pulled away, and 3 on the inside). Further, if you have fans installed top and bottom and a radiator mounted on the front fan assembly (as I have) then it is not possible to remove this assembly for filter cleaning without first removing at least one top or bottom mounted fan. – An easy solution would be to have made the main front panel easily removable as Corsair have done with their other cases such as the 460X.
My second gripe is about cable management. There’s so much space inside this case. Why can’t the grommeted cable through holes be designed to line up with the connectors on the motherboard? This would enable a much neater cabling job. The main issue being the main 24pin connector, where the cable always ends up at a slant due to poor through-hole placement.
One other minor possible improvement; the PSU compartments look big enough to take a second PSU (got those who require a lot of power). In fact it looks from the metalwork that that may have been an intension. However there are no mounting screw holes for a second PSU.
Solid case, amazing temp difference, plenty of room
Pros – it’s not as tall as you think, just wide but that allows for a really different build hiding almost every wire in the back chamber. Fits my large gtx1080 in with ease.
Cons – the metal what the motherboard sits on is really flimsy so my graphics card wasn’t able to slot in the pcie slot entirely so had to use the vertical mount included on the case but then you will need a riser cable.
Overall it’s a quality case and well worth the money with three Rgb LL120 fans included and a standard fan for the exhaust at the back as well as a commander and light node pro.
Best gaming case on the market.
Pros:
All the fans have mesh covers that block all dust from entering the fans and can be removed and cleaned.
Can fit at least 6 fans in it no problem
Comes with one – 4 slot SSD caddy and two – 1 slot HDD caddy that can be removed very easily
Have yet to have a part that does not fit inside the case
Hinged, magnetic window…no screws…magnets are strong enough to keep it closed. Can be opened instantly
Front Panel plugs and switches are accessed from the top of the case, good for if your case is low down.
Cons: It is big….very big…but lets face it…you did not click on this because you were looking to buy a small case
Behold: the behemoth
It’s not a cheap case, but you’re not paying for cheap. It’s massive, it’s airy and, most importantly, IT GLOWS.
Pro tip: the accessory kit has been conveniently hidden inside one of the HDD bays so don’t fret if you haven’t found it in the box. You’ll need a screwdriver to access the hard disk section.
It feels really sturdy with plenty of space to tinker about with. I’m not exactly a pro at building PCs but this is exactly what I needed. Loads of space to upgrade in future.
Fantastic case, glad I bought it!
This case is beautiful, and exactly what I was hoping/expected.
There’s only one thing that confused me – the top dust filter. I could be wrong but if you have a radiator installed at the top, then you can’t install the dust filter, doesn’t make much sense. Also, if you don’t have a radiator installed, then you have to install the dust filter under the radiator brackets, which I would imagine just wouldn’t look great all. I ended up just cutting the filter down slightly so it fits on the top side from the outside.
That small point aside, this case is perfect, solid and heavy duty!
Nice case but large graphic cards limit options
I got this to upgrade my PC to full water cooling after using closed loop cooling systems foir 15 years. The case is wider than you think to provide the compartment for the cabling, drives and power supply but the results pay off in terms of neatness. I am listening to John Martyn as my PC softfly pulses rainbows. With the Hydrox X reservoir and CPU block its REALLY QUIET even with an RTX2080 graphic card with air cooling. As you will see from the photograph large graphics cards limit your options, particularly with the Hydro X 150 reservoir. To get 5 stars I’d like to see 1)Its a bit cheap to not put an RBG fan as the case extractor 2) space for a 360 mm radiator in the top of the case 3) it’d be cooler if the case logo changed colour too 3) A “Super Chilled” sticker would have been nice particularly at these prices. After giving it 4 stars I’ll have this case for years
Great case..
Very expensive but its a masterpiece.
The reason for me to buy it was I need a lot of cooling as i like my system to run quietly and not worry about my gpu.
You will need to buy separately a vertical gpu cable and it only comes with 3 rgb fans and one normal one, don’t see the point of giving me a normal one .. cant you ad another rgb one ? .
Anyway you will need 5 more rgb fans and i got MSI one as they are identical to corsair but much cheaper..
I bought this case as the vrm on my MB was running very hot for no reason and no overclocking..
I put in this a Ryzen 3950x, a asus x570 – F strix, 32 gb corsair vengeance rgb, a aorus rtx 2080 etc.. 360 aio
Temps at idle (I don’t overclock) 45-50 cpu (ryzen runs hot in general) but it dropped by 10c in this case !
Rtx 2080 31c and the most important for me as I was worried the vrm ! as it was running hot for no reason, now its nice and cool !
PROS: Great to work with, build to do anything with it, great quality, light, and beautiful, great airflow.
CONS: NO gpu riser cable and only 3 rgb fans.
Would I buy it again? YES !
Brilliant case, pricey, but well worth i
This case is absolutely brilliant to build in to. Having a separate chamber for the messy stuff (drives, PSU, cables, iCue hubs etc. etc.) and another chamber for the nice flashy stuff you want to show off is a fantastic idea and works surprisingly well. There is plenty of room for everything you want to get in to a build, yet you end up with a nice clean system that looks like it has used very little of the case.
Build quality is excellent and the finished product looks fantastic.
I really can’t say that there is anything that I found disappointing about this case. Very happy with the purchase and the end result.
Absolutely love this case! Fast delivery, tons of room to build in, and the dual chamber enables you to hide cable management away from view.
Can not recommend this enough, I did my first ever PC build in this yesterday and the case is a dream…Although it did get fairly heavy towards the end of the build haha.
Little tip: anyone who is fitting a H115I platinum RGB AIO CPU cooler to the top of this case – make sure when you are about to fit the radiator and grill which it screws to – back into the tower, to first make sure you have fitted the magnetic mesh before putting it all together.
I forgot to do this and as a result I will now have to drop the lot in order to fit it lol.
I like these dual compartment cases, the minimalist look not having all your components in one space is aesthetically pleasing to me.
The three included RGB fans are a little noisy compared with the non-rgb noctua fans I usually use but are fairly pleasing and the software works well. The fourth included fan is sadly not RGB and I think it should have been given the style of this case.
Ideally I would have wanted a couple more usb ports on the top panel but the inclusion of the gen2 usb type c port is nice.
Cable management: there are options but it requires planning, the included cable tie points are not big enough to use velcro straps which is a pity, so I basically use standard cable ties to mount my velcro straps works well enough, but could have been better.
Now given this case is marketed as high airflow, airflow is not bad but not great either, certainly not high airflow. Liquid cooling options are limited, yes it has places to mount a radiator but given the length of the case it seems to be a top radiator (240 or 280) or a front 360 (smaller front radiators do not make much sense to me given the design of the case). You could mount another radiator on the bottom if you really want to for open loop builds, but pump placement would be issue (assuming you want to be able to see these parts). For me the case is suitable for AIO and probably the best place to mount the radiator for that would be the top, you may be able to use a push pull configuration depending on the width of your radiator.
Overall, I like the case, it is nice and easy to build in , if you do not mind having limited options, but the number of compromises for the asking price make the Lian Li o11 Dynamic XL a much better choice for liquid cooling builds.
So I decided to test this with an AIO, an artic liquid freezer II, don’t buy this case if you have thick radiator it is impossible to mount up top, at the front you might run into issues depending on the length of your graphics card. A pity with a slight offset it would have gone in fine up top. Corsair AIOs do not have thick rads so they would be fine…
good quality case.. expensive but overall good
although once assembled it looks good the cable management in this case is a pai.. you’d think that it would be neat and tidy but the preinstalled fans and commander pro seamed to have no though about them and I had to redo the cable management. the rear Fan is also a none RGB fan.. honestly why would you buy a case with ARGB on the front and a glass pannel on the side and not put a ARGB fan in the back. I replaced this instantly with a LL140. Over all once built case looks good and Im happy with it.. just the cable management could have been thought out a bit better and corsair come on stick in a ARGB fan in the back from the off.
OMG!!! This thing is huge, normal case height and depth for a mid tower eATX, but 1.5X the width, this width is put to good use, separating the PSU and drive bays from the motherboard area, effectively giving you half a case extra to hide all the wiring from view and not actually have to squeeze it up tight in the nooks and crannies like a standard size mid tower, 3 x 3.5 and 4 2.5 bays sit above the PSU in this section as well as the RGB controllers for the 3 included ll140 fans preinstalled to the front…controllable through the Corsair Icue software available from their website, opening the tinted and tempered hinged glass side panel which has 1 screw in the top hinge to stop you accidentally falling off when you tip it upside down, also remove this screw and lift off the glass to give more access when building you rig. The top mounted front panel consists of power and reset switches, power led, 2 x 3.0 USB AND 1 x USB C which if you want to use will require the new rectangular socket on your board or a PCI-e card. Along with the 7 PCI slots in the rear of the case there are an extra 2 outboard of them so you can vertically mount your graphics card securely though you need to source a 200mm+ PCI-e extension cable (I have the Phanteks in this build), this exrtra feature also means should you mount your gfx cards there, the remaining slots on the board remain usable as opposed to the kits that mount into the slots. The screws for the side panel and pci slot covers are knurled thumb screws, as are those for the top glass panel and front and top filter holders, in all there are 3 magnetic (top, front and PSU side panel) and one slide out filter underneath, the top and front filter trays also have mounting points for 120 and 140mm fans/AIOs or twin 120/140 AIO on the top or up to triple 120/140 AIO on the front, the base of the board space also has twin 120/140 fan mounting holes ready for action and the rear has a preinstalled 140mm standard Corsair fan fitted to exhaust the case. This case easily accepts any board up to EATX and standoffs are preinstalled, though be careful if fitting a Threadripper board (TRX/sTRX) as you’ll probably need to remove the top center one to prevent damaging your board. All the hardware you need to fit any component in the case is supplied and the instructions are easy to follow. I also found a nice little hideyhole behind the right hand front cover which simply pulls off (not the glass side, that’s screwed on), I move the RGB controllers and hid all the RGB wiring in there so that the cables looked a lot tidier and easier to figure out which part of the system they are supposed to run to. The price is high, but the quality of this case can be seen by your delivery driver breaking their back getting it out the van, and although I do find Corsairs products have a premium, this case is worth it, and so impressed by this one I was that I purchased the the mATX version of it for my sons system. A well earned 5 stars and yet another faultless product from Corsair.
Great case, bit expensive
The case is amazing, and was everything I wanted from a case. Came with pre-installed Corsair RGB lights of course. Very sturdy and easy to install and disassemble for building and implementing your mobo, psu, and so on.
Only issue I have with it really is – the back fan not being RGB does kinda make the case look a little worse from an RGB stand-point (who can have enough rgb right?). And not having the bottom fans also is a downfall. However, I suppose the price would’ve been even higher with these parts – and buying them to install myself wont be an issue.
The corsair crystal 680x is one of the best cases I’ve ever laid my hands on, it’s the definition of an overkill enthusiast case & the price shows it.
If you dont mind paying the premium for corsair products ( trust me I don’t! ) then the 680x is the way to go, its covered in tempered glass and RGB and just screams quality. The included fans are quiet, bright & all cable managed into a controller that plugs into your RGB controller module.
The case is a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be, being nearly twice as wide as my old NZXT s340 so having a lot of room under or on your desk is kind of essential.
So apart from being super high quality and having a lot of RGB what else does the 680 have to offer? Well with cable management slots in abundance it’s hard for your system not to look super clean and organized.
There is plenty of space and mounts for fans / watercooling radiators & even a slot to vertically mount your GPU ( though I would of really liked to of seen a corsair vertical GPU riser included with the case to make use of the vertical slot, considering this is one of the more premium cases on the market).
So my overall opinion is that this is a fantastic case, it’s super easy to build in, looks flashy & has a premium feel too it, it really does show off your build. The drawbacks to the case are quite minimal, being that it’s a lot larger than first anticipated ( though this isnt necessarily a drawback ) & I would of like to of seen more RGB fans included ( to fill all the fan slots ) and a vertical GPU mount, though what you get for the price is already quite good. I’d advise anyone in the market for a flashy premium case to buy the 680x!
My previous case was a Coolermaster HAF X which is a giant case, this is basically the same size but taking the height away and giving it width really makes it feel a bit smaller, by air volume it’s possibly slightly bigger.
Aesthetically I think it’s gorgeous but that’s my opinion.
I gave 4 stars for ‘easy to clean’ because it’s a very nice rough-ish matt black finish that I am surely to scratch and live with regret. I am not sure what type of cleaning product to use on the exterior but I suspect traditional dust/polish sprays could end in a bad time.
It was a bit of a dream installing everything, the only drawback was only three 3.5″ drive bays and I have about seventy-eight 3.5″ drives, well 6. I happened to have a 3.5″ drive enclosure so used that for the other three drives and it just about fit underneath my 1080, not pretty but functional until I upgrade my drives.
I couldn’t quite figure out the magnetic dust cover, it seemed to not quite fit or I’m trying to place it incorrectly, more likely me being a fool but it’s sufficiently out of my eyeshot to care any further at this stage.
Also the side opening glass door is a delight whereas the opposite panel has those annoying thumbscrews that have a small extension before the thread, very old school and one of my least favourite types of thumbscrew, but that panel will only ever be opened on rare occasions so I can live with it.
The rear case fan has no RGB but it’s not always going to be visible for a lot of people, easy enough to pop one in if it’s needed. The front RGB has encouraged me to embrace all my RGB bits and pieces so I’m going to increase those because of this case.
I like the pretty lights.
