Nice.
Just is. Nice. Easy to set up, clear image, good sound. About the only downside is the resolution is so sharp it doesn’t offer you any favours which really does make you self conscious during meetings. I’ll just be using it for special occasions and sticking with the old SD webcam with the much more forgiving blurry image for day to day use.
The quality and build of the webcam is absolutely second to none
Oh what a shock when I opened the package and tried to use my new Depstech webcam, it wasn’t working and I tried everything to get it to work, but with no success. So I contacted Depstech almost immediately to complain and I was very pleasantly surprised with the very, very quick response from Depstech. Without any delay they replace the webcam and it is working perfectly with all the fantastic feature of this webcam. I am 100% satisfied with the product and the service I have received, thank you so much

Excellent Image Quality, Minor Zoom Limitatio
Very good product with excellent image quality! Zooming is adjusted through the remote control. I wonder if they could have done it via the software. Not a biggy for me but would have been maybe a better user experience. Overall, a great purchase!
Recommended
This is a great camera for the money. It comes with tripod, adapter lead and remote control, but no batteries, so be aware that you will need 2xAAA batteries before you can use it. The camera came well protected, in its box. The thing I liked the best was the 4k resolution, really quite up to the minute as far as definition goes. I also think the orifice is excellent. The camera is also quite a sturdy little beast, unlike previous fragile models.
Great camera for clear video - good resolution and bright images
This is a 4K video webcamera from Depstech.
It comes neatly packed with a tripod stand, remote control, USB-A to USB-C adapter, camera cover, decorative stickers and user guides. Two AAA batteries are required for the remote control, these are not included in the pack.
The camera is easy to use. Being a plug-and-play device, it is ready to use right out of the box. It has a built in mount for computer monitors that is super easy to position and feels stable enough. The camera angle can be adjusted in multiple ways (front to back and also left to right). The picture quality is really good, it is much better than images from the in-built camera on my home laptop (which is a few years old) – I’ve attached a couple of screenshots for comparison (they are heavily compressed but you can still see a big difference between the two). The video quality is significantly better when using the Depstech camera – the image is clear and bright – the video is often too dark when I use the inbuilt webcameras on my home or work laptops.
It is very handy that the camera actually also comes with a tripod which makes it usable even if you don’t have a traditional monitor setup but are only using a laptop. I haven’t used the remote control as I didn’t really have any particular need for it but I can imagine it being useful in certain scenarios.
Overall, I would say that this is a great quality and easy to use webcamera with useful accessories included in the box.

Ideal if you need superior picture quality
The web cam is easy to setup. It was quick to get detected on my mac as well as on windows. The picture quality is clear. It comes with some smart features like a remote control and auto focus. The dual mics captures the voice clearly. It works well with zoom for my meetings. It still captured some noise of my keyboard and mouse.
The web cam is useful to capture the videos for creating videos and the image & video quality is superb. It is expensive compared to most of my web cams used but you are looking for superior picture quality then I would recommend going for this web cam.
Premium webcam
This is truly a great webcam with so many premium features built in. The mic works great, the other side hears the voice so sharp and clear. Picture quality is superb, 4k on this side, but based on the internet speed on the other side, they see it as well. It has brightness control, autofocus and other features built-in.
I have placed my webcam over the monitor and nicely sit on the hinge.
Great picture, superb sound pickup and a really practical desig
This is aimed squarely at the mid-range of the webcam market, given the price, but I’m pleased to report that the difference is definitely evident. In terms of quality, this is clearly a step up from the built-in front-facing webcam on my MacBook Air. Resolution is obvious very good given the 4K spec, with sharp definition and rich colours, but it’s particularly impressive combined with the on-board enhancements like autofocus and sharpening. The camera does a great job of isolating the subject and selecting the appropriate focus every time.
The on-board mic is also great quality. Again, compared to the built-in mic on my laptop, it’s clearer, less muffled and does a much better job of isolating voice from the surrounding sound. As someone who works frequently from home, dialling into Zoom calls, the better quality connection – sound and picture – has been mentioned by colleagues. It’s really top-notch when it comes to webcam specs.
The design is excellent, too, for a free-standing cam. The wide body sits on a pivoting ball joint that can be adjusted in all directions – meaning you can have it slightly above eye-height, pointing down (which, of course, is the least unflattering angle for Zoom meetings!). Really handy for positioning in all sorts of office setups. The hinged clasp for attaching to a screen completes a really practical form factor.
I love it it – certainly one of the better webcams I’ve used, and I’ll be defaulting to this rather than the on-board webcam for future meetings. Great stuff!
Definetelly an upgrade..
This is definetelly an upgrade from your native laptop camera (not the high end ones), first of the camera has a wide lens so it will be able to capture your whole body for example even qhen you are at arms length from it, the image is certainly much crisper and brighter as it has a light sensor which increases the quantity of light it takes in.
The video itself is good quality and the image is smooth throughout the video.
The only caveat I would have is that it does say 4k which the sensor more than likelly is however the camera itself doesen’t have enough megapixels to make it a true 4k experience …now given the price you can forgive it ..at the end of the day you would not expect for 60 to get Gopro quality right?.
Another thing is the attachement that clamps on tot he laptop which depends on the laptop how well it clamps on.
So all in all a decent camera definetelly better than the normal laptop camera you have at the moment .
Brill camera
I have used a couple of DEPSTECH products in the past and they seem to make some quality gear, This webcam has so many feature above your standard webcam on laptops etc, The picture quality is really good although you do need a decent internet connection, The privacy slider is a great bonus with today security, I had no troubles at all connecting it to my HP laptop, The tripod is included so handy for the likes of streaming you tutorials etc. I really cannot fault this camera.

Still, it works very well and has an amazing image. The Sony sensor that is part of it makes a huge difference in image quality I assume.
I used it a few times for online lessons and zoom meetings and I am very pleased.
I am not sure thought i would pay this amount of money for a non known brand. Is a little of a risk.

Smart & Effective
This webcam is a big improvement over my previous model.
It arrives with a tripod and a useful remote, although you need to provide your own batteries for the remote.
Once plugged in it was recognised by my computer straight away.
The only problem I faced is that the preview image on Microsoft camera now no longer works…. I understand this affects a lot of cameras and is a Microsoft problem, not one caused by this camera.
It sits on top of my monitor very nicely, using its simple but effective bracket.
It works excellently with Teams, the picture quality is a big step up and colours seem accurate and natural, i guess this can be attributed to the Sony chipset.
Apparently the microphones are decent too, according to those I’ve spoken to.
At over 80 this is pricey and the reason I’ve knocked a star off, but overall I would say its an excellent product.
If picture quality is very important to you, this could be the camera for you.

While I don’t know this brand, I do find this webcam very good. I didn’t know digital zoom was an option until I set up this camera and it works really well. The remote control is very useful during calls/camera on time. I gave it an extra star for the privacy strip which moves in front of the camera. I haven’t even got this on my laptop or tablet but in modern times, it’s 100% essential. The quality of the picture is very good. My computer can deal with it, but my internet struggles sometimes. Being able to mute during a meeting while family bring me a coffee is very useful. The plug and play is perfect for me and it all worked first time, with set up a minute or so after plugging everything in. The attachment for the top of the monitor fits well and doesn’t give me the impression it will move easily. I’m probably not using this webcam to the maximum of its ability, but it certainly works easy gives a great picture and that’s all I needed to do.

Remote is handy
This USB camera is working well on my Chromebook with the various web-based conferencing systems I use (e.g. Jitsi). The picture quality is good, and the ability to adjust the contrast, brightness and zoom is unique among the various cameras I have tested.
The remote will need two AAA batteries, and while the layout looks like it will control some sort of on-screen selection each button (including the “direction” ring) actually has an individual purpose. The zoom is not continuous but rather has three fixed settings you switch between. The camera has quite a narrow field of vision so used on a desk it will fill the screen with a head-shot rather than show a torso or desk view.
The camera has no lens cover or physical mute switch (both are on the remote) but there’s a stick-on cover in the box. There’s also a mini-tripod and a USB-C adaptor. It comes in a good quality box that will be suitable for storage.
Overall this is a good camera with several useful features, at a price that matches its aspirations.

I guess I’m like most people: you just need a webcam for video calls and Zoom meetings. If so, this is absolutely brilliant. Much better than using my phone or laptop webcam. 3 x Zoom is superb for closeups, the remote control is very handy. Picture quality is top notch. Some on here have criticised the sound, but I found it perfect! For the ordinary user,this is phenomenal. As a Tiktok influencer, you might have higher technical requirements, but to be honest, this is great. Works perfectly, plug and play…just needed batteries in the remote…which you can get anywhere! Recommended!
Good quality, works well
I am already a bit of a Depstech fan as I have their excellent endoscope in my garage. This webcam delivers excellent 4K images and sound quality is perfectly adequate for video conferencing. I have Facebook Portal standalone devices for 1:1 conferencing because they are self contained and easy to use. This webcam suits larger gatherings using larger screens where image quality would otherwise suffer.
A nice touch is the supplied tripod, meaning that the camera can be sited virtually anywhere. The connection cable is a useful length.
All in all my faith in Depstech is undimmed!

I had not heard of this brand and to be hones I have tended to stay with known brands for Webcams as they can be a little tricky sometimes. Not this time. This works very well. The audio and video quality is excellent and the zoom function works well to cut out the clutter in the room if you have any and just focus the camera on you. No issues using it with Zoom and really liked the fact that it had a remote so you could adjust it without having to stand up and fiddle around the back on the monitor. Very good.

A very impressive 4K webcam
This 4K webcam from DEPSTECH supports 30fps video and the video quality generated by this webcam is very impressive, the picture is clear and crisp and very vibrant. A remote control is also included, which is a nice touch, and this enable the control of functions such as the 3x zoom.
A feature that sometimes gets overlooked with webcams is audio quality, and I’m pleased to say that this webcam captures wonderfully crisp and clean audio thanks to its built-in dual noise cancelling microphones, which makes a big difference.
The webcam uses USB-C but also has an adaptor for the older USB-A connections, which is useful. Overall this is a very high quality 4K webcam.

The packaging is good and the outer box is quality and nicely illustrated,
The monitor mount is good, flexible and has good grip in my monitor, and the camera tilt is easy to adjust to get it right. I found the self-adhesive cover to be a little cheap, given the price of the whole thing.
The remote isn’t supplied with batteries — you need 2 AAA batteries. The tripod is just the usual style and type you find in webcams half this price, so you are really paying for the camera and the remote.
The image quality is good and sharp, but it looked a little washed out to me until I upped the colour options using the remote. It does tend to autofocus a lot, but that is only if you move about, and you can always cancel the autofocus from the remote. I got not fisheye distortion at the edges so that is good.
I found the microphone to be a disappointment though (but read my UPDATE at the bottom). It worked reasonable well with Skype and WhatsApp video calls, but when trying to record myself to a file, the volume level was far too low to be useful. I tried it on several webcam apps as well as Audacity (just for audio capture) and the sound didn’t improve. I also tested it using my normal desktop microphone, and the audio levels were perfect; loud and clear with no hissing at all — but that it is why it is my normal microphone.
This is a tricky one to rate.
* It is expensive, and there is a lot of competition out there that are less expensive.
* The image is good though and can be improved with a little tweaking.
* You get some extra accessories, including a remote which has to add to the price.
4 stars from me then. It will work okay for Skype, WhatsApp types of calls (but not Discord), but there are cheaper options out there. The remote might or might not be of use to you, and not having one and the hardware for it will certainly reduce the price. It basically boils down to your needs and your wallet.
UPDATE: I have increased my star rating to 4 stars following an intervention from the company. They contacted me and after a few messages back and forth, agreed that the microphone was faulty and were happy to replace it. Amazon’s guidelines protect the privacy of its reviewers, so I didn’t give them my details for a replacement, but the very fact that they are willing to do this speaks volumes about their customer service level and this is the basis for my increase in rating. It has to be good that they are willing to replace a faulty webcam.
Great sound and video
This camera is easy to install, it is plug-and-play. It has a good microphone built in so you don’t need a separate one. It picks up your voice great. I use Zoom and it worked fine with this app. The quality of the picture is good, up to 4k resolution. You can’t use the zoom feature at full regulation but if you drop it down to 1080p then you can. The sensor is good and is made by sony. It works well even in low-lit conditions. Has a nice long USB cable built in. Great for video conferencing. Very pleased and much better than my camera built into the laptop.
Good Quality
The box seals were already broken on arrival so if this had not been a “Vine” review product I would have sent it back as having been tampered with. Fortunately, everything was intact and complete and the camera was plug-and-play. My monitor is 4K so I can confirm that this 4K camera does deliver very crisp, well-produced images for my video conferencing which is mainly in “Zoom”. Autofocus was unable to make it’s mind up when the camera was sitting on top of my monitor but this can be switched off from the very nicely featured remote control which does not come with batteries. The remote gives control over zoom, colour saturation, brightness, microphone mute, image on/off, mirror, and contrast. There is also a tripod included, along with a lens cover if you want to use it although my security software deals with webcam access. The only compromise is that this is running at 30 frames per second rather than 60. 30fps reduces the data load required. This is understandable when you consider that this is designed to send images in real time over broadband but 30fps is at the bottom end of the human eye’s perception of image flicker. Not that you can see it I hasten to add. The camera’s field of view is just right and my head and shoulders filled the frame beautifully – the advantage of having a zoom facility. I am told the microphones are outstanding too but I can not personally verify that because I was not on the receiving end but I trust the source of that comment. A Sony chip is running things and they know about video from their range of SLR cameras and camcorders. Recommended.
