Why did I debate for so long!?
I’ve been back and forth for the longest time debating whether I should get one of these and I finally took the plunge. It got delivered today and upon first impressions overall it’s great!
I was a little worried after reading some reviews about whether it would turn up broken as it wasn’t brand new however I can confirm mine arrived and looked new (maybe I was lucky)
Initial tests – it’s very quiet and has some strong suction picking up a crazy amount of stuff including cat hair.
The app is cool and can see a lot of useful information including creating a schedule for it to go and do its thing on its own on the days and time you set.
Overall extremely happy right now!
Works well on tiled floors
Works well in picking up dog hair and other debris from tiled floors.
There is still a need however for a ‘normal’ hoover to clean the robot hoover brushes and the stairs.
My partner has not touched her normal cleaner since this arrived just hit play and leave it to do its job highly recommend swith it on head off out come back all the floors cleaned and its back on the dock charging for its next cleaning missio
What a game changer! My floors are suddenly clean!! I have a dog who sheds a lot and this is great to clean up after him! It’s easy to use, doesn’t bang into things as it senses when something is near and moves, doesn’t fall down the stairs, buffs the floors as it goes so makes them shiny! The only downside is my long hair gets tangled on the brushes a lot and it stops working until I untangle it. I’ve had no other problems with it and would highly recommend it!
Well, I am definatly a gadget person. I have been considering one of these RoboVacs for some time, but had severe reservations about them. I felt that it would not be possible for it to do even a reasonable job.
When I spotted this eufy C30 at a considerable saving from Amazon’s refurbished stock, I thought that it would be worth a try, if worse came to worse I could return it.
It arrived next day as per usual, and it was in all the original packaging and looked to be in a completly unused condition as far as I could tell, everything was there and still had the original packing strips and tape on it. Having unpacked it, it took only about 10 minutes to put it together (very few parts and very easy) place it on charge, download and pair the app and even link it to Alexa.
After a couple of hours, the light on it was still orange and pulsing to show it was charging, but I just wanted to see it work. I used the supplied remote control, pressed the Auto clean button and off it went..
For reasons that I won’t go into, my bedroom is also my office, so apart from bed, two wardrobes, a couple of chests of drawers, there are also two desks a desk chair and an armchair, I was fully expecting FiFi (ok not the most original name for it i know) to get stuck somewhere, but much to my surprise and delight, it just got on with it, dissapearing under the wardrobes and chests of drawers and finding it’s way out with no help from me, it even got under the treadmill and bedside cabinets, over a rug and under the desk.
I let it roam around for about fifteen minutes, wary of the fact that it was not fully charged, so I stopped it and checked the dust collection tray, it was completely full, I emptied it and told FiFi to go “Home” to finish charging.
The next day, it was fully charged, so I let it run for about fifty minutes whilst I got on with some work, lifting my feet when it came close to the desk, and moving out of the way so it could get underneath the desk. I emptied the tray twice during this session and again before I sent it home, the amount it collected (this on the lowest suction setting) was very impressive.
I appreciate it has only been used in the bedroom, but given the amount of furniture and other obsticles I see no reason why it would have a problem with the hallway and other rooms upstairs.
Bottom line, this is a great little machine, when I have finished decorating downstairs, I will get another one to run around down there, I suppose that It will never replace Henry for suction power, but for a quick run over and tidy it is perfect.
My life has been made with this machine with 3 kids and 2 dogs one being a labrador that molts all year round its been a life saver I was sceptical that it would pick up things even after reading the reviews I thought I’d be sending it back due to not doing as good a job as a normal hoover but my god I’ve been converted if you think you could benefit then invest don’t waste another day thinking about it I LOVE IT!!
The one star is for the refurbishing performed on these models, seems more like they were just returned to Amazon & then sent back out without being tested.
I brought two as Christmas presents & thought I better check to avoid disappointment.
The first one I tried, when connected to the charging station, just glowed orange for a few seconds and then stayed red. After much effort I did manage to connect to my WiFi and it showed the battery empty. Left charging over night, still empty. Tried removing the battery for 5 mins, still no joy. Tried everything I could find on the Internet to resolve the steady red light, nothing worked.
Interestingly the brushes were attached to the machine when it arrived & had no instructions. Unlike the second one which had the brushes in their correct space & full instructions booklet.
The second one had nearly a full charge on arrival & easily connected to my WiFi. However, when sending it out it would stop after 10s stating the wheels were blocked. They were not. Again, tried every remedy I could find to no avail.
So, am now returning them for a refund as there was no option for a replacement. TBH, even if there was such an option not sure I would risk a refurbishment again.
EDIT:
Since my initial two purchases I have received three more, Anker did send me one directly, but the other two were from Amazon as 93 with the coupon was extremely reasonable.
All arrived in a very different condition to the other two…they were packaged in an Amazon box, where the others were just the box the vacuum came in. All three worked when tested (two are presents) and the one we use is fantastic, happily going out at 4am every day. Floors continuously look like they were just hoovered.
Looks to me like the original two were returned, untested & just sent back out without even packaging them. Having said that, returning them was painless, so probably worth a punt if the cost is much less than brand new.
Would whole heartedly recommend, assuming you get one that has been tested…huge time saver.
I live my robo Hoover so much. If you’ve been wondering whether to get one, just go for it. I volunteer as a cat fosterer, so I used to always have cat fur & little bits of cat litter scattered around. I guess regularly so it wasn’t awful, but my place looks so much better and tidier now I have this. The Hoover does a much better job than I expected and I actually haven’t used the main vacuum since I got it about 3 months ago.
We use it for iterim cleans. A clean with a traditional is still needed. Picked up dirt/dust/fluff very well. Struggles with larger debris like sweet wrappers etc. We have a 15c as well and they perform about the same. Not as good as a G30 which we trialed. But for sub 130 its good.
Only had this 3 days but has been brilliant so far! I was worried about my dogs eating him but they don’t really bother with it. Will still need to use my other hoover for a deep clean but for day to day tidy up this is a game changer!!!! We love him and have called ours Boris! 😀
It really works well, the rubbish collector is a bit flimsy when emptying but easy to sort out, senses and never fulls down stairs, and the remote control is fun when you want to go manual and it cleans.
Having some health issues I was finding it hard vacuuming. This does a fantastic job carpets look groomed and no difficulty cleaning up long cat hair. Very pleased and would recommend.
Love it. The spinning brushes are a little fragile and prone to getting stuck under rugs but Eufy is good at getting out of stuck situations. Generally speaking can’t complain about this unit. It goes around downstairs during the night and in the morning I empty it. It manages to fill itself each night so it’s clearly collecting a lot.
Whilst not intelligent or mapping out a room it happily bounces around and in 45 minutes the kitchen is clean (as long as the mess is dry). It does the job well.
