I would honestly recommend getting any of these shells. I would just suggest buying a mini tool to grap onto the screws like an eyebrow picker, since it’s difficult to do it put the screws into the hole by hand.

Despus de mucho tiempo pude adquirir este kit de carcasa para joycon con la tapa trasera para el Nintendo Switch. De manera general dar una opinin detallada para quienes estn interesados en adquirir este producto:
Lo bueno: Los materiales de las carcasas y tapa trasera son muy buenos, los botones tambin se sienten de muy buena calidad y te incluye rejillas nuevas para la ventilacin y tornillos de repuesto (que solo se utilizaran si llegas a extraviar los originales) Te incluye un desarmador y dos puntas (una de cruz y una de tres alas), que ser lo necesario para todo el proceso de armado; si has trabajado antes la electrnica y no eres muy exigente, el desarmador y las puntas son adecuadas para trabajar, aunque puedes usar tus propias herramientas si las tienes y son de mejor calidad.
Lo malo:
La caja no contiene un manual que detalle el proceso cambio de carcasa, el fabricante ofrece un video tutorial en su pgina de YouTube pero es un canal en ingles. En Youtube hay tutoriales en espaol de terceros, yo tuve que apoyarme con uno de esos.
Puntos a tener en cuenta:
Definitivamente el trabajo de cambio de carcasa es complicado, laboreoso y requiere alta precisin y cuidados. Si nunca has trabajado con electrnica o similar, no tomes estes proyecto a la ligera, particularmente el tema de los joycon es bastante complejo y delicado, los flexores y dems componentes son piezas que, de no manejarse adecuadamente, podran dejar inutilizable el joycon en cuestin. Tambin te recomiendo que elijas el diseo/color de manera conciente. En mi caso eleg el diseo SNES y el acabado es mate, y la superficie susceptible a manchas dactilares; no me preocupa demasiado porque limpio habitualmente mi nintendo switch y la uso poco en modo porttil, sin embargo creo que hay carcasas como las traslcidas que pueden disimular mejor las manchas.
Finalmente:
Si tu Nintendo Switch ya tiene aos contigo y, sobre todo, si tu garanta ya expir, te recomiendo ampliamente ste kit si quieres darle una nueva imagen a tu consola, queda genial y al final sientes que todo el trabajo vali la pena.

Gran reemplazo para la carcasa original de Switch
El acabado genial, lo nico que puedo poner como negativo es que el destornillador incluido, las puntas no son de muy buena calidad, es mejor usar uno propio de mas calidad para el trabajo.

Ich habe dieses Gehuse gekauft um meine Switch Optisch etwas aufzuwerten. Ich hatte etwas sorge das es billig aussehen knnte aber wurde vom kompletten Gegenteil berzeugt!
Der Aufdruck sieht Bombe aus, Die bergnge der Gehusehlften sind nahtlos und auch die Passgenauigkeit htte nicht besser sein knnen.
Einziges winziges Manko ist das ein Schraubendreher Verbogen war. Ich konnte ihn aber trotzdem mehr oder weniger Problemlos nutzen, von daher kein Minus.
Im Gesamten bin ich berglcklich und kann die Gehuse von eXtremeRate echt empfehlen!

Absolutely thrilled with this kit. Just installed it over the weekend and expected the worst to be honest, as my eyesight is not what it was and I’m not exactly known for my steady hand. However, with a bit of patience and forward thinking, not to mention a good clear space and very good lighting, this was largely trouble-free. I’d read all the reviews beforehand and bought a separate console disassembly kit as advised, which came with very useful spudgers and tweezers as well as the proper screwdrivers. It does add a cost to the price you pay for upgrade, but really, even factoring that in it’s well worth it. The Switch now looks amazing and completely refreshed. By the end of it I’d surprised myself that I could do this and I think if I can, then I’m very sure you can too. It’s not easy and I would advise patience at the trickier bits – I had particular fun with the ribbon cable for the trigger on the right joycon. But just take your time and keep thinking that teeny pesky ribbon WILL go back in! Proper tweezers are invaluable here, as is a good tutorial video on YouTube. I recommend the FetchingTech one since he talks you through most of it very well indeed. Once you’ve done it though you’ll feel proper chuffed with yourself.
I’ve now bought the SNES style dock shell to match and cannot wait to see it all done. Awesome, well made product that will absolutely put a smile on your face!

Parts were made extremely well and fit perfectly.
The fit comes with everything you need however I did use my own tools due to people having threading issue’s, everything lined up and clipped together as if it was a genuine Nintendo kit!

Controllers were tricky part but diddnt need take any cables out if careful can have all still connected and remove casing. Feels great love soft touch feels solid sturdy casing unlike lot i had in ebay. Screw holes are not cut with grooves so need give little pressure while screwing together. But overall looks great 2 controllers took about 2hrs to carefully do such fiddly bits switch so take care and back plate took about 5mins to install make my very old original 1st line switch look brand new as seen in photos. If your worried of doing controllers get old broken set and remove screws and pratice can always take pictures for your own step by step as you dismantle ordered with free delivery expected friday came next day just shows how good company is with delivery like that. Just remmber if your not going be home get sent to amazon locker as delivery driver will leave on door step if it doesnt fit in letter box. (That issue need be fixed ofc).

The console backplate is super easy to change – the joy-cons are a fair bit harder – the right joy-con in particular will take longer to do due to it having the Amiibo reader and the IR camera inside.
Worth it though.
I will definitely be getting the shells with the D-pad for my 2nd set of Joycons.

Excellent Shell, ok toolse
This replacement shell is absolutely gorgeous and in all honesty, seems and feels way more durable than the OG shell. It’s not extremely difficult to swap, but do be aware that the tools they provide are not magnetized and the screws on the switch are ridiculously tiny, so that will be a challenge. Other than that, if you’re experienced in electronics and/or feel like you are capable of doing the case swap, go for it. Again, looks stunning and feels super good/durable.

If you just take your time
Great case fairly easy to put on the back plate didn’t take long the joycons took longer. I’m a complete novice so I watched some YouTube videos and took my time. I think that’s the key to just take your time it took me 30 mins on the left joycon as I replaced a analog stick at the same time, and 45 on the right.
If your switch needs a facelift, this is exactly what you need!
This is the highest quality shell set I’ve seen, miles ahead of the cheap & plasticy shells you find on other marketplaces. Everything has a premium feel to it and fits like a glove on the hardware, it all comes packaged really well and even includes all of the tools & screws you’ll need for the process!

Absolutely love this product for the switch! It feels really nice and everything is really good quality. It comes with loads of extra scees in case you accidentally lose one of the many micro screws holding the switch together. My only gripe is the triwing Y00 screwdriver that comes with it is absolutely rubbish! Well mine was the end of it wasn’t great and just wouldn’t grip any of the screws so I had to buy another on Amazon which was amazing! The philips head screwdriver worked perfectly though. I also used a YouTube video on how to replace the shell which was ideal. It’s not exactly an easy job doing the joy cons very fiddly and small parts so make sure you know what you are getting in to before buying!
I can’t fault the product though I absolutely love the look of my switch!
Incredibly useful tool
Before they used to have a rather cheap looking tool set, but when I heard they had improved the tool I was thinking they couldn’t seriously improve it… But alas they have really gone to greater lengths than you’d expect, it’s actually got a storage compartment for the drivers… If my own tool kit is lacking in that aspect then it’s a great addition regardless of what my own one has and has not, the design is what I was after for so long and… It’s kinda perfect the design was found when it was… Early birthday gift for myself… And I wasn’t talking about the shell, I meant the screwdriver someone’s gotta show the little details that brands like this do some love so that it’ll have feedback that is positive for what it is, yeah I was expecting the screwdriver to be rather nothing remotely as good as what was provided 10/5 just for it’s weight and feel being on point with what it should, as getting that level quality tool for DIY hobby projects is always satisfying
Great kit, but buy your own tools
Cannot fault the set. Printing is sharp and has a great smooth, matte feel. Screws provided are better as they have a larger groove to receive the screwdrivers. I used my own set of tools as the ones provided didn’t seem large enough to fit.
Slightly costly but the quality is definitely up to standard.

Absolutely amazing plastic molding, I had zero issues with the assembly.
The plastic feels smooth matte and even better than the official controller shells, not to mention they also include all spare screws if you lose any.
