Budget but brillia
I always temper my expectations a little when testing out these gamepads. I know I won’t be getting official quality (with all the stick drift that often comes from buying an official pad). However, this gamepad does its job well for the money. It was very easy to set up over Bluetooth with my PC, and Steam recognized it as a PlayStation pad, even changing the button icons in the Steam menu to match the PlayStation buttons. Sometimes, with these pads, they physically resemble a particular design, but they still present themselves to Windows as an Xbox-style pad. It’s great to see that full compatibility has been maintained even on this budget-friendly pad.
The RGB lighting on the pad is a little bright, and I disabled it. However, I know some people enjoy experimenting with bright lights on their gamepads, so I won’t take a strong stance on that particular issue.
The controller feels good and responsive, meeting my expectations for a pad at this price point. The front side buttons are perhaps a little clicky, but I don’t have much of an issue with a bit of tactile feedback on buttons.
Overall, considering the price, this is an absolutely fantastic controller.
Wireless Controller (Green Light)
My son has been asking me to get him a PS4 controller to use on his PC for a while now so I got him this. Installing on a PC seemed easy, he did it himself with no help from me so it must be reasonably straightforward.
His feedback was that it is quite good as a controller and he is really happy with it but as it comes the lights are quite bright. These can be turned off and I believe turned down a bit. Other than that it was really go. No signs of drift or anything.
frustration rather than enjoyme
My recent experience with the Gamrombo Wireless Controller for PS4 was disappointing, leading to frustration rather than enjoyment. Despite its promises of advanced features and compatibility with various devices, this controller failed to deliver on multiple fronts.
Initially, the controller’s compatibility with PS4 Pro/Slim and PC, along with its LED features and dual vibration, seemed promising. However, the actual performance of the controller fell short. The dual vibration feature was lacklustre, providing minimal feedback during gameplay and failing to enhance the immersive experience.
Moreover, while the LED RGB lighting was advertised as a standout feature, it proved to be more of a distraction than a benefit. The lighting was overly bright and flashy, detracting from the gaming experience rather than enhancing it.
Additionally, the controller’s build quality left much to be desired. The buttons felt stiff and unresponsive, making precise movements and inputs difficult during gameplay. The touchpad and 3.5mm audio jack also failed to function reliably, further adding to the frustration.
Overall, the Gamrombo Wireless Controller for PS4 failed to meet expectations in terms of performance, compatibility, and build quality. Its lacklustre dual vibration, distracting LED features, and unreliable functionality make it a disappointing choice for anyone seeking a reliable and immersive gaming experience.
Amazing controller for my ps4. Everything feels comfortable, buttons easy to press. Feels like real original ps4 controller. Very happy with it. Amd amazing price for amazing controller. Recommend to anyone who needs controller.
