Needed a replacement hose gun when I dropped existing one and broke the nozzle. Also needed one which had option to screw into hose as well as have a Hoselock style push on adapter. Good range of spray patterns although less than my old one. Overall very happy with purchase especially as price dropped while I was deciding to buy it.
This is exactly the same as the one at twice the price I paid last year & with more functions. Works great so very happy flowers. Only down point is that as others have mentioned it doesn’t fit with Hozelock products but my other half refitted a different connector.
Comes with 2 spare rubber washers. Fits well with my regular hose connector fitting which has an automatic water flow stop when no hose head is fitted. Functions well on initial test. The brass male connector makes a good seal. Hopefully this one should last longer that the cheapo heads which I have to purchase a few times a year at about 3.99 each. If this one at 6.99 lasts a year it will still be a saving. It’s quite novel using a thumb to operate instead of a trigger. Only thing I can see that may be an issue is how robust the thumb turn mechanism is. If it can take drops from heights without problems developing then it should last well. We’ll have to wait and see. Probably prudent to not leave the head connected when not in operation through the winter as ice expansion within its joints will most likely cause damage.
My hose end connector has a water stop when any device is taken off the hose the brass end of this new spray head is slightly shorter than normal I have taken the connection end off my old spray head and it now works perfectly with the brass connector fitted to the new spray head it doesn’t work with my set up
Ive been looking for a reasonably prices hose gun for a while then i came across this little gem and thought id give it a go, i know most reviews can be mis leading but this gun works brilliantly I’ve have it a few months now and I’ve no complaints and it works really well.
Great product. Only downside is sometimes hard to move noozle selector with water flowing. Would suggest different more logical order of selections i.e. standard spray next to extended spray so dont need to switch through several disimilar selections to move through to similar spray paterns!
Excellent value for money, I paid 9.45. Stylish and great quality and durable, love the design where you flick the lever with your thumb to your desired water flow from soft to full and don’t need to continualy hold a trigger, you can easily turn the head to whichever of the multiple water spray/jets required. It’s comfotable to hold with non slip grip. We have a steel hose similar to that of a bathroom shower and this handle can screw directly on to it or if you wish or it does come with a brass fitting (not plastic that can break/split easily) and several washers if you choose to change it to easy release. This is a fabulous product and highly recommend it.

This has a lever on the top – which, if you don’t make a noise with your mouth as you ramp up the pressure you are missing out, is much better than a trigger and very easy to use.
I can imagine if you have problems holding a trigger down, this would be much easier to use.
My daft kid left the water turned on and turned the hose off… the spray didn’t let any water past – which is amazing.
I was really surprised how great this hose head is, it has loads of settings. The most useful are a mist, shower and jet, which I use almost every day.
Very sturdy, great jet choice all of which have good pressure and flow rates. The thumb control is a great idea to reduce / increase flow. This is useful when watering delicates or hanging baskets etc. I haven’t seen this before personally. The brass adaptor that comes with it does fit my standard Hoselock connectors without leaking so based on other reviews maybe this has been fixed by the supplier, and for the price compared to the big names is fantastic value. However lets see how long it lasts because this is the issue with all these devices. They work great for varying periods depending on quality, then they just leak and fail as seals dry and harden in the elements…for this price honestly, if it lasts a season fault free its good value for me…
The unit is well built and for me doesn’t leak any water when it is off. The best feature is the thumb operated flow control. This allows very easy setting if the flow control and strength. The copper connector didn’t work with my Hozelock AquaStop connector that fits to the end of the hosepipe. It appears the copper connector wasn’t long enough to open the AquaStop valve. However I changed this for a standard Hozelock connector without a built in stop valve and this is now working perfectly.
