Liked that it cut down tree easily, now I got it working I’m happy and the battery lasted a long time as well. Wonder do you just put oil on the chain, but it will help get garden tidied and it needs it.

Mini chainsaw.
I must admit, when the chainsaw turned up I did wonder if it would cope with what I needed it to do, but it has preformed very well. I am sure that it will be a valuable addition to my tool kit.

Its worth noting that the manufacturer gives a year warranty. My motor failed on the chainsaw I bought in August and they replaced it quickly without any hassle to me.
The chainsaw itself it good for small jobs as it’s designed to do. There are 2 batteries which give a reasonable amount of cutting time for small jobs, which you can rotate and charge while using the other.
Be careful of the kickback
Really good product. The battery life is really long, about 3 hours cutting time. Two supplied so plenty to do the job. Used it to cut down some thick dog roses with branches of 4 – 5cm thick (1.5 – 2″). It did kickback and cut my arm superficially but that was me not securing the piece before cutting. Able to cut logs for the fire too. All in all a really good product and useful to have.

Bought this on a whim as it was on offer and had been thinking about one for a while.
It’s a great little saw ! I have arthritis in my hands and struggle sometimes with loppers on thick branches etc, this goes through like a knife through butter. Really impressed that you get two batteries so can do a big job.
This was on offer when I bought it so it was excellent value for money as well.

I was fed up with using a saw to get through branches in the garden and was looking to see what else was available and I am so thankful I found this mini (4″) chainsaw. It is everything I needed, easy to use, sturdily built and so light there was no trouble using it one handed. It went through the branches with such ease it was a pleasure to use. The battery performance is also great, I charged both batteries but there was still plenty of life left in the first battery after I completed my tasks. Absolutely thrilled with it, so much so I am now looking at other areas of the garden I wish to tidy. Great value for money and with a 2 year warranty I am a happy customer.
Amazing little saw!
I can’t put into words how impressed I am with this little, 4 inch chainsaw. I was able to cut back quite a large tree, including some branches which should have been too large for it, but it just kept on going without any problem.
And the battery life was amazing! Most of what you see in the photo was cut with just a single battery used, the second battery being used afterwards just to chop the branches smaller.
Cleaning afterwards was simple, taking just a few seconds to remove the chain so it could be cleaned before behind refitted.

This is an amazing tool, lightweight and easy to use. It saves the arm aching cutting of branches that are too small to be worth getting the big chain saw out but too big for loppers. I wish I had had one sooner. Especially useful for women. It comes in a nice case and we had an extended 2 year warranty and free gift. Excellent and prompt service.

I bought the mini chainsaw because cutting through small branches is a bit time consuming with a lopper. I was a bit apprehensive with it only being 4 inches long, but it worked like a dream.
All I can say is that I am really impressed with it. It cuts through branches like butter. Did the work in a quarter of the time. Would recommend it to everyone. Very happy custome

Have carried out one cutting session on a yew bush. Went at it too aggressively with first cut and it left a very ragged edge to stem I pruned back. Thereafter adopted a lighter touch and it left a cleaner cut. It works very well so far. Be aware it is a dangerous tool so care must be taken. I think the fact it is small compared to a full size chain saw deceives you into being less alert and you can start to wave it around unsafely if you are not careful. Glad I went for an 8 inch version rather than 4 inch variants as it can take on bigger tasks.
The battery dies very quick.
Well I bought this hand chainsaw on all the other reviews.
Now I believe in being super honest.
The chainsaw is super light and looks the part and we’ll made ,so when I looked at the company’s pictures on Amazon it says it cuts 6 inch logs and up to 80 cuts.
We folks that’s not true,I flew through my first log about 5 inches in diameter then cut another one I was super happy.
Then it started to stop,so I said to myself it can’t be the battery because it says 80 cuts.
But after 5 logs it stopped completely to my shock.
I then put the other new battery in and it started working again but again 5 cuts and it stopped working.
Both batteries had 2 green bars left but didn’t work.
I recharged both batteries but the tool didn’t work
So I got 15 minutes of use before I sent it back.
PS I emailed the company because I couldn’t believe it.
Fair play to the company they where super helpful,the unit I bought was defective so they are sending me out a brand new tool kit.

This saw works well and does what it says. I also have a 6 inch version, Bamse Mini Chainsaw 6 Inch, Cordless Chainsaw Brushless with 2 Batteries 2.0Ah, 2 Chains, 10m/s Electric Chainsaw for Tree Branches and Garden Cutting https://amzn.eu/d/1JFBzEq, and for me that works better, as it’s not much bigger for carrying in a rucksack, but can cut bigger logs. I have had both saws for over 6 months with no issues. I have just changed the chain on the 6″, which is not bad for the amount of cutting it’s done.
Basic rules:
Always oil before use – this is included, but you’ll want to order more.
Check chain tension before use.
Check chain tension regularly, especially if cutting large logs – this is really easy to do with the screwdriver included. Cutting large logs seems to stretch the chain, so I think I’ll be changing chains before they get blunt. This is also really quick and easy to do.
Don’t put pressure on it when cutting, motor will cut out, but will then start again straight away.
Wear face shield like this, as chainsaw chains generally can be known to fly off:

We have a few large bushes that were in serious need of cutting back and having tried using a manual saw without much success I searched on Google for ideas to make the job easier. The branches that needed cutting were not huge – about 3 – 4 cm thick – and I eventually settled on the idea of using a chainsaw. I looked on Amazon and was surprised to find mini chainsaws which seemed ideal for what I wanted although I have to admit that I was a little worried that a battery saw would not be powerful enough, but I researched you tube videos and decided to take the plunge and ordered this one based on the mostly good reviews. I have to say that I am pleased that I did buy it as it has proved to be an excellent tool. It’s lightweight, easy to operate, and made light work of cutting through the branches. It comes with 2 batteries but I only had to use one and after I’d finished there was still plenty of charge left. It does take a little getting used to because, as others have said, it can give a bit of a kick back. I did find that the chain needed tightening after using it for a while, but it’s quite easy to do and the instruction manual is easy to understand. I don’t know how long the chain will last, but you do get a spare and as I will only use the saw occasionally I would imagine that I won’t need to replace the chain for some time. It is important to keep the chain oiled and a small tube of oil is enclosed in the case. The case itself is small but sturdy and you do need a bit of patience to get the lid closed but that is a minor criticism. The chainsaw appears to be solidly built but, of course, time will tell as to its longevity. Overall this mini chainsaw has exceeded my expectations and I am glad that I bought it.

I purchased this item earlier this summer and it has been used in various settings including gardening, camping getaways and for use doing DIY for rough cut wood items.
I have fixed fences, made pallet furniture also and it has been so handy I now actually keep it in my vechile with both of the 2 batteries charged.
Its more than powerful to save time getting out polepruner out and cutting wood for a fire and saved me getting out my main chainsaw that requires fuel and servicing. I think it has saved a tonne of fuel, time and cleaning of my main Chainsaw and this item doesn’t need any servicing which can be the price of a car . So it’s fast, convenient and has saved me money and time.
Item has a safety button to press or the trigger doesn’t toggle any power and a spring loaded chain guard,,,,, giving ability to protect but not interfere with the items ability to cut only small stuff.
The battles do last more than ample amount of time and the lead plugs direct into the batteries saving space in my vechile as doesn’t need a separate charging unit or cradle. So easy to transport and tuck away in the boot of my car!!
Paid for it self already with the time it has saved. 5 stars.
I love the fact it comes with a pencil type case which had a spare chain, cute bottle for chain oil and the charging cable. Even included a screwdriver too .

I am pleasantly surprised by this little chainsaw, it is much more powerful than it’s small size would suggest.
Two batteries and a compact but robust carry case attracted me to this model and it does not disappoint.
I did a quick test by cutting a 70mm diameter Hazel branch and it breezed through with minimal pressure.
It has a comfortable handle, it is lightweight and well balanced. Arthritis is setting in in my old age so weight is an important consideration to avoid wrist pain, I could tell immediately that this was not going to be an issue and I feel confident that I will be able to use the saw for a good while before needing a rest.
The instructions and videos are comprehensive and easy to follow. Customer services staff are polite and efficient and registering the extended warranty was a simple exchange of emails.
The two year warranty is a welcome bonus, the price is very competitive and I consider this a good value purchase.
Update;
First proper use yesterday, I spent about 90 mins coppicing Apple and Bay trees, branches averaged 50mm diameter and still showing three green LEDs. Plenty of power and minimal ‘grabbing’ despite the wood being fresh, I am sure the saw only grabbed because I applied too much pressure – a rookie mistake which I soon corrected. Easy to clean too. Might try some wood carving with this next…
I needed to take down and remove 25 feet of dense Hawthorn hedge that had grown 8 feet tall. The mini chain saw easily cut through the trunks, some of which were 4 inches in diameter. I wanted something lightweight as I am 74 years old and thought a full size chainsaw would be heavy and unweildy.The JYGMPRO Mini Chainsaw looked good on paper, and has proved to be the right tool for the job. I am delighted. Most of the hedge has come down without needing to recharge the battery. The chain started to work a little loose after 10 minutes or so, but was easy to tighten and oil following the instruction videos.
The lightweight saw comes in a plastic tool box, with spare chain, oil, and screwdriver.
Registering the product to get free 2 year warranty was easy. Full marks to this company.
I tested it on some 8cm diameter logs which I had been given for use in my multi fuel fire. It cut through them quite easily. I like the way that you are able to hold the tool and it is quite light and easy to use. It come with 2 batteries which is handy and they are easy to fit and charge. It is a pity that it does not come in a case. It comes with clear instructions regarding use and changing the chain, starting and installing the battery. You can also scan QR codes which directs you to on line instructions for oiling and tightening the chain amongst other tips. A great little tool for those loping and other similar tasks around the garden. My only gripe is that although it a single handed tool, being a left hander myself it is not possible to depress the safety button with my thumb of my left hand which I could do if I was right handed. However, not an insurmountable issue. Please note: I was gifted the tool, but the review is my own words and thoughts.
4 inch mini chainsaw –
I recently purchased this 4 inch mini chainsaw and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by its performance. This compact powerhouse manages to pack quite the punch making it a convenient and reliable tool for various tasks.
Firstly the chainsaw miniature size is its biggest advantage. With its compact design and 4 inch cutting chain / bar it is incredibly lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. This makes it the ideal tool for when you are pruning tree branches or cutting hedges. The small size allows for easy storage and transportation. You get 2 batteries, a charger, a spare chain, chain oil and a Phillips screwdriver to aid in changing the chain when required.
Despite it being smaller in stature that doesn’t compromise its power. The electric motor delivers an impressive cutting performance on branches and even some small logs with surprising efficiency. It does want to kick slightly so be sure you hold on tight the the chainsaw. The handle provide comfortable grip reducing the fatigue you may have during extending use.
The battery life is worth noting. It operates on a rechargeable battery – you are provided with 2 in this set – and this allows for cordless operation and ypu can swap the two batteries around to avoid draining the batteries too low. The battery life isn’t as extensive as it would be on larger models but it is more sufficient enough to get the job done on light to moderate tasks.
This 4 inch version will struggle with any thicker branches or larger logs so if you need it for those kinds of jobs look for the 6 inch or 8 inch versions that this same brand provides as the quality is excellent!
To summarise my experience using this 4 inch chainsaw, I say that it’s is convenient, reliable and versatile and recommended it to anyone looking for a tool to do light to moderate cutting. It’s compact and small enough for you to take on the go and for use by home owners, campers, DIYers and other various outdoor tasks. Be sure to realise this particular versions capabilities in terms of cutting capacity and you will not be disappointed. Valued addition to my tool kit. 5 stars!
A really well made, quality hand-held chainsaw. It cuts through wood with seamless ease and has plenty of power for a little chain saw. You do have to be careful as when in use it does want to kick forward a little bit as the chain can snag and want to pull you forward so just keep that in mind and make sure you keep a firm grip of it. The 21v battery powers the motor which has plenty of torque and speed. As well as this, its very efficient meaning the battery doesn’t run out quickly. 2 Batteries are provided so while one is charging you can continue the work you are doing using the second battery. The set comes with a spare chain, a screwdriver to change the chain as well as some chain oil — all of which I was happy to see as it allowed me to begin the job at hand knowing I had everything I needed to get me started. The chainsaw itself has a light on it and the batteries have a “battery life indicator” button that allows you to see how much each battery has left. Everything comes in a compact carry case that means it can be neatly stored away with my other power tools. I have a few and this is one I will be using a lot through the summer months. I have used this to cut tree branches, pallet wood and some smaller logs ready for them to dry out over summer ready for winter.
It is extremely light weight and easy to use single handed, again, refer to my previous observation about it wanting to kick, but don’t allow that to put you off. Whilst stood up a ladder to cut back a fig tree it was simple to use. The chainsaw is turned on by pressing a safety button in first and then applying pressure to the trigger — much like the system used on many lawnmowers, so my husband tells me. Once the trigger is released the chainsaw immediately stops — a brilliant safety feature! there is also a guard over the top side of the blade to give extra protection from the spinning chain. I haven’t needed to replace the chain, yet, but it looks like it’ll be easy to do.

easy to use right from the box
I received the mini chainsaw in a plastic box, supplied with 2 batteries, a charger and a pouch containing a second chainsaw, a screwdriver and a small bottle of oil. The usual manual is also present and is showing in detail with pictures how to operate the chainsaw,
The grip is covered with rubber and it feels sturdy and firm in hand. There is a safety button which needs to be pressed before the trigger is switching the chainsaw to full speed.
Is perfect for cutting and trimming small branches and bushes around the house.
The battery once fully charged together with the second one will give you a decent autonomy to work around the house for hours.
One recommendation: it would be great to have a way to control the speed of it, once having the trigger on it is fully on.
I would say the mini chainsaw is surpassing its capabilities to trim bushes and branches its cutting abilities being way beyond its league.
After cutting back trees in my garden last year with a bow saw, I was left with a pile of branches to cut into smaller size to fit into my chiminea.
To make the job of chopping firewood and cutting back trees in future, easier, I decided that a small chainsaw would help me.
I saw this attractive saw on Amazon and as the 6″ version had such good reviews, I decided to upsize and buy the 8″ version.
It arrived quickly and well packaged. Out of the external packaging, the saw has a tough plastic storage case that neatly holds the saw and all of its accessories.
The convenient charge indicator integrated into the battery showed that both batteries were already fully charged, but just to be sure I put each on a top up charge. Within a few minutes the supplied battery charger, which includes a charge level indicator, was confirming that battery was indeed fully charged.
I was then able to use the saw immediately and, with appropriate safety precautions, I started to cut my pile of branches down into neat little lengths. The saw performed effortlessly and made for a quick and easy job. Due to it’s size, weight and design, it was really comfortable to use and didn’t result in tired and sore muscles that I have experienced when cutting wood in the past.
I noticed that the blade included a small picture of the blade direction to ensure easy and safe blade placement, I thought that this was a lovely and neat little touch of design that showed attention to detail.
Without doubt I am happy with this purchase and will be using this saw often in my garden, but also on DIY projects.
