Great little gadge
Really pleased with this product. Easy to use, and work well with my PC. The case they come in acts as the charger. Sound quality is good enough for me. I like the way they hang over your ears, and you don’t have to suffer the discomfort of having them squashed in your ear. They allow you to hear ambient sound. It would have been nice if the USB dongle had a parking place within the case. Work well with spectacles.
Very happy with them.
Very easy to use. Nice and comfortable and because they are on ear rather than in ear, I can still be aware of others if I want to be. The sound quality is as good as required, nice and clear and with good depth of sound.
A Great Purchase
I absolutely love this set of headphones. I use them daily. They fit brilliantly, the sound is better than any other headphones I’ve had in the past, and, an added bonus is that they work with my PlayStation 5, which is great when gaming.
I’d highly recommend this item to anyone looking to buy a new set of headphones. They’re definitely worth the cost!
I'm pleased
The good thing about these is i can still hear my surroundings and chat to people whilst gaming. I also like that they don’t go in my ears so don’t cause sweaty waxy ears. They are light weight and very comfortable. The sound quality isn’t anything to shout home about but it’s not bad either. Overall i’m pleased.
Very comfortable and great selle
First things first, very comfortable when using for long periods. It does take a little bit of adjusting to stop a hotspot on the top of your ear where hook sits but once you find the best way to wear them, you don’t notice them.
Sounds is great. Obviously the bass is a little boosted as they are off ear and you wouldnt hear any base otherwise but it doesn’t affect the sound quality. Sounds great.
Seller is fantastic. My first pair had a battery issue in the right bud (which happens with all earbuds sometimes) and the seller was very quick and helpful to solve the issue which was a replacement that I got next day. New pair works perfectly
The dongle is great for gamers. Almost zero latency as you would expect from other wireless headsets. I don’t know what the mic is like as I have not used it. Great for VR as it fits all headsets (that can use a usb dongle aka pcvr)
No delay
Good headphones, well made. The sound isn’t the best, but an equalizer can fix that. I give it a 4 stars only because the right earphone rubs a little. I tried it with Meta Quest 3 with a 2.4 hrz dongle and everything is fine – no delays and the sound is excellent!
Enhanced Gaming Experience with Krysenix Gaming Earbuds
These gaming earbuds have significantly enhanced my gaming sessions across various platforms. The 2.4GHz dongle provides a stable connection, ensuring uninterrupted gameplay. The ergonomic design and adjustable angle of the earbuds offer comfort during long gaming sessions. The AI noise-canceling mic effectively filters out background noise, allowing clear communication with teammates. Overall, these earbuds offer excellent value for gamers looking for immersive audio and reliable performance.
Gaming earbuds: loved the 150 degree angles
They say these are for gaming but I use them for listening to music. They connected really quickly and fit over the ear really well. I absolutely love that you can adjust the phones, I’ve not seen that feature on more expensive phones and they are not heavy so you can wear them for ages.
They have a IPX4 waterproof rating, I have no idea what this is but it means it’s able to withstand sweat and light water splashes. That’s very important for me as when I run I have the sweatiest head and ears!
The sound quality is decent but I personally need more bass. That’s not a major criticism as this is marketed as a gaming headset. The thing about the open ears is that they are fine for bus and some trains journeys but no good for the London underground, so keep that in mind. As others have said, the set up instructions are not great, but as I’ve had so many earphones I worked out how to use them quite quickly. I found the sound quality great when taking phone calls too.
good sound.
Sound is good. Able to listen to music and still feel the bass despite it being open ear. No noise cancelling experienced which is reasonable due to the design.
This is highly useful when I am cycling and waiting for a call. I do stop before I continue with the call for safety but it does not completely block the the external noise, traffic, etc, so it is basically safe for what i needed it for.
Films and music is okay, you can still enjoy the sound but not comparable to a close ear earphone or headphone of course. Still it is well built and you can adjust it according to your comfort.
The volume is a bit muted though. Other than that, looks and sound quality is at par with other similar open ear earphones.
Really comfy and stay in place
My wife doesn’t like in-ear headphones but wanted something she can easily carry around when she’s in the office to join online meetings (which is, believe it or not, a thing). These fit the bill for her uses.
These come in a small, neat box that’s easy to carry around. The speaker bit can be moved on the over ear loop so that you can sit it comfortably on your ear and be able to hear clearly. They’re comfy to wear for a couple of hours too. The sound quality is fine for online meetings, calls, audiobooks and podcasts, but if you’re wanting something to enjoy good quality sound for music, then I don’t think these are for you.
Great for protecting your ears
I wanted to get a different type of headphones as with getting older the ones that fit directly into your ears, give me headaches sometimes. Also if you are out about, it’s not easy to hear other things around you so was keen to give these a try.
They come in a nice case which also holds power, so they charge when they are inside the box giving additional power if you are away from a charger. They look well made and they fit my ears ok, although took a bit of getting used to at first coming from the type that fits in your ears. Now on to the sound quality, I think for an open type of head phone the sound is surprisingly good and clear. I can hear my music well, and they also let in other sounds around me. However they like a bit of bass in some songs, but I guess this is to be expected for these types of headphones. Overall I really like them and find my ears don’t get sore like with other headphones.
Comfortable and clear gaming audio
This earbuds have changed my gaming audio experience. The open-ear design is comfortable for long sessions, and the adjustable angle ensures a secure fit. The AI noise-canceling microphone enhances communication clarity, crucial in team games. These earbuds combine comfort with high-quality sound, making them a good choice for both gaming and everyday use.
Effective Open Ear Solutio
The Krysenix Gaming Earbuds appear to occupy a space somewhere between the bone conduction sports headsets that allow you to enjoy media on the move while maintaining awareness of your surroundings, and the traditional convenience of wireless earbuds. First impressions are good, with a nice quality box, case, and well thought out design. They are also comfortable on the ears, which is important for long periods of listening/gameplay.
I found them fiddly to pair with my devices, but once linked they performed as you would expect. They are not built for sound quality, that’s for sure, and suffer form noise leakage and pollution, but this is to be expected considering the open ear design. It is also half the point! They are much better suited to voice and effects, and I suspect this is why they are being aimed at gamers. They will do for music, but not if you’re into high fidelity reproduction.
Overall, they do the job well enough. They are well priced among the competition, and while they won’t win any awards for sound quality or ergonomics, if you are after an open ear headset what won’t break the bank, these are a good choice.
Decent, not grea
The Krysenix Open Ear Headphones are supplied in a large charging case, large to accommodate the open ear/ ear hook design so somewhat expected.
On first use you must remove the protective film over the charging points on each earphone, this are not uncommon and designed to protect the batteries from discharging fully when in storage, as this is not good for battery life.
My interest in the Krysenix Open Ear Headphones was based around the supplied USB dongle, allowing direct audio connection to suitable devices without out resorting to Bluetooth. I’ve tried this with my PC and a console and it works fine with no setup.
Audio quality is ok, not all that loud and not as good as in-ear but overall, the earphones are more comfortable and allow me to hear what’s going on in the room.
I don’t like that the earphones power on when you open the case, and will remain on and connected (and potentially playing audio) while the case is open. Not a deal breaker but it has caught me out.
All in all, for under 30 at the time of writing, for direct connection headphones, they’re ok but far from perfect.
Comfortable to wear but features could be improved
This is the first time I’ve tried clip-on ear phones so it took a while to get used to the fact that although you can hear the sound pretty well, other sounds also creep in, so if you want to listen to something really clearly you need to do it in a totally silent room. Having said this, these ear buds are useful if you do need some background sound, for example whilst driving or walking. Easily adjustable so will fit most ears.
There is no volume control on the ear buds themselves so you need to control it using the transmission device, eg phone or PC. By tapping the ear buds you can answer and make phone calls, pause music, move to the next track, turn the microphone on and off and clear the pairing. All these functions are listed in the instruction leaflet. I have to say that I found it frustrating that you can’t control the volume on the ear buds themselves.
The charging case doesn’t have a battery indicator so you have no idea whether it needs charging until it stops working. When charging it has a flashing red light and this goes to a continuous one when fully charged. It takes 1.5 hours to fully charge the headphones and you get about 6 hours listening time. Not wonderful.
I wear glasses so I was dubious about whether these headphones would be comfortable, but I was pleased that they slot above my glasses and are so comfortable that I forget that I’m wearing them. They stay in place and don’t fall out, although I did have an issue at first with one of them becoming loose. I guess it’s just a case of getting used to them, they are quite different from the in-ear ones.
One of the things I really like about these is that there is a USB dongle which fits into my PC so I can hear things on the internet without disturbing anyone else in the room.
So, I would say that they are reasonable for the type of ear buds they are, and not too expensive.
Great sound quality, very comfortable to wear but the manual is somewhat lacking
Firstly, the manual is lacking in detail just like so many of these imported devices, there is no troubleshooting section so a little fumbling around got it all going. I initially had the case plugged into a charging hub but that didnt want to play ball at all.
I had assumed that plugging the case to the charging hub wouldn’t affect the operation of the headphones but for some reason when it was plugged into a charging hub it didn’t want to work correctly. Luckily the case is pre charged so after the removal of the hub it was working great.
I’m impressed by the headsets audio. The sound is very clear and when using it as a traditional voice headset, but this excels with musical audio too, they aren’t ever going to beat dedicated music headphones setup but they are more than adequate.
I have tried them on a Windows 11 PC, a Mac Studio, iPhone 14 Pro and all work great now that the case isnt plugged into the charging hub (I;’ve tried with them plugged into the PC and Mac independantly and both work).
I’m not sure why this was an issue to start with but they are all working great now and testing the battery life.
For info the the kit contains the following
USB A to USB C Charge cable
USB A dongle for those systems that do not have suitable Bluetooth.
Battery Case
2 ear pieces
One thing worth noting is that when the lid is open the ear pieces will try to connect to the last device connected. Worth noting if you are on battery and wish to hold the charge.
Aside from the initial issue the headset s are great, recommended even at this price point which I find a little high.
Incorrect instructions
The instructions are not completely correct, I’ve corrected them on the photo. At least I think I have.
It has a really bulky case, and this is not a slick premium product compared to big name brands. However it has a completely different market because they are not really in ear earbuds, they sit outside the ear and blast sound inwards, which makes the perfect use in environments where you need to be alert to your surroundings, perhaps you are cycling, or you like to be able to hear what is happening around you when you are vacuuming and want music.
They fit really well, and that is largely because of the multi-angle adjustment of the over-ear part, and without this obviously they would not be able to stay in your ear at all because they don’t have any part that inserts. They have a button press in the centre, which is capacitive, so there is no clicking at all. There is no bass whatsoever with these because you can imagine it is quite difficult to produce base from such a small earpiece when it doesn’t even insert the ear canal, however they have a very pleasant sound that I am impressed by, and they are perfect for listening to podcasts, or music to pass the time, however they are not going to give you a real experience for films or if you are listening to music for the thrill of it
I am surprised by how immersive the sound is, given that they have a disadvantage from their design, and it is surprisingly clear.
For me ,the main benefit is the usb dongle because it gives me the flexibility of not using Bluetooth
Best for voices
These headphones feel cheap but not nasty. The case is compact (for what it is) and it was super easy to adjust for my ears. What’s great is that the speaker rotates to suit you.
Connecting up to my phone had no problems and you can use either headphone individually I’d you want. I haven’t used the dongle. Touch controls are a bit hit and miss (more hit) but can be a bit tricky.
Sound quality for music is quite poor and is very tinny and shallow. It is however, very capable with podcasts and videos with talking so if you enjoy walking with podcasts, these are ideal.
What the instruction manual doesn’t tell you!
Nice neat black box, with the headphones in, was put onto charge. Took about 1hr 15mins to charge, then took the headphones out but they refused to connect to my iPad although the manual said they would connect as soon as they were removed from the case. Frustrated I inspected the headphones more closely and found that the connection ports had small strips of red plastic over them. With some intrepidaton, in case I was breaking something, I remove the red strips and popped the headphone back into the case. About half an hour later removed the headphones and was happy to see that they automatically connected to my iPad.
The sound seems reasonable, although I’m no music expert, but it seems as if the volume can only be controlled by your device. My partner couldn’t hear the music playing but I could still hear the tv, albeit faintly. I guess this is the trade off of the comfort of open ear headphones over the in ear type.
