My daughter is terrified of this thing, can’t say I blame her as having your nails filed isn’t the nicest thing especially when you don’t know why it needs to happen. I’ve started using it to square off my own nails which saves me some cash.

Having a baby is expensive, and I didn’t want to waste money on non-essentials. I thought “I don’t need an electric nail file” – I bought a hand one (designed to be worn as a ring) and then a pair of scissors and then a nail clipper, and after I clipped too close and cut her with it I resorted to just biting her nails.

Then I bought this. Honestly, I wish I had bought it sooner. It’s gentle enough that it won’t damage her skin, but files the nails down. Quiet too so I can do it when she’s asleep.

Only downside is it sometimes catches so doesn’t run 100% smoothly but for the money it’s great.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have tears in my eyes as I type this,
my autistic 6 year old son has the biggest fear for nail cutters,
have been cutting his nails in his sleep for years now, because he literally has panic attacks when I try awake.
For about 2months now he wakes up as soon as I touch his fingers trying to cut them and makes him agitated for the rest of the night which isn’t good for him or myself,
His nails were so long he has scratches on himself and myself from just playing,
school have asked to trim it as it’s scratching the teachers too,
I became so worried and emotional as I felt out of options
I decided to give this trimmer a go, he hesistated for a little while and I just sat next to him did my nails and his sisters too, he started coming around
And now he enjoys it, I think the vibration helps soothe and relax him too

The trimmer looks so expensive and handy

Thank you so much , this is such a gift to me

5.0 out of 5 stars Thank you so much

I’ve taken chunks out of my baby’s fingers before with baby nail clippers which has given me an irrational fear of cutting their nails so I needed a solution. This is an absolute game changer! Highly recommended!

Really good, I was scared to cut my babies nails and this is amazing, I tried it on myself to make sure it doesn’t hurt and it’s really light but works really well

One of the best items I’ve purchased for my care kit. Very happy with this nail file, and I’m impressed to see lots of different adaptors for when baby grows. I no longer need to worry about baby scratching his face, the device is easy to use and the little torch on it is a nice touch to ensure precision.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis was absolutely perfect to use on my 7 week old daughter. I was very nervous to try and cut or clip her nails so, I was recommended to try this and it was absolutely perfect. Whilst she was taking a nap I filed all of her nails and she didn’t wake up at all. Now she’s sharp nail free and can no longer scratch herself!

    100% would recommend this!!

For years I have struggled to cut my little girls nails due to sensory difficulties. I’ve even attempted mission impossible with the nail clippers whilst she slept. This clever device, lovingly dubbed ‘Jerry the Giraffe’ means my daughter has safe, short nails and actually enjoys having her nails done! This is hand down the best product I have purchased in years. To any parents of SPD children – please give this a try. There so many companies out there claiming their products help, but this is a game changer 100%

Would highly recommend! My newborn had very sharp but flimsy nails which I couldn’t clip nor file down. I’d seen this product and decided to give it a go and it works a charm. My baby wriggles about a lot so I like to use when she’s asleep and still. It’s not very noisy and the file pieces for her age are soft so it does not break her skin and she’ll stay sleeping the whole time. It even has a torch light which highlights the nail so it’s easy to see what your doing
