Perfect for little ones
These blocks were perfect for our son who loves to build (and then destroy). They’re hardy and no chance of snapping or breaking, and there were plenty of them in the box, so making massive towers is possible. Would recommend these to anyone looking for building blocks. If I had to find a negative, I’d say the blocks themselves are smaller than I expected. But not really an issue.
Great Toy
I purchased the Melissa & Doug Wood Blocks Developmental Toy for my nephew, and it has been an absolute hit! This toy is a fantastic choice for any child’s playtime. The wooden blocks are not only beautifully crafted, but they also offer endless opportunities for imaginative play and skill development. Watching my nephew stack, build, and create various structures with these blocks has been truly delightful.
Fantastic building blocks
Both 5 year old and 1 year enjoy these. Great for building towers and any other builds using child’s imagination. Also great for colour recognition and even counting. Birthday gift for my 2 year old. Great quality.

Bought for my little girl who is almost 2 and she absaloutley loves it keeps her entertained for hours verry durable and high quality best wooden bricks so far will definitely be ordering some more
Essential toy
For toddlers learning to co-ordinate with their hands and deal with balancing and creating architectural landscapes (ours seems to love building) it’s great. The hand-eye aspect is helpful and our son has been using this from 2 until now (4+). Recommended..

2yr old loves them. They have numbers, letters and different pictures on. He has fun trying to find blocks with certain pictures on. He also uses them as stacking blocks. Comes with a nice little bag to store them in, can pack them up and take them out to other peoples houses with us .
Brilliant Toy
Bought these for very destructive 3 years old. They are great, priced nicely so I didn’t feel like it needed to wait until a birthday/Christmas. Probably played with them every day, he loves them. It is also nice that his big sister can find ways to play with them too.
Traditional style bricks that have stood the test of time.
When my grandchild informed me they wanted bricks with letters and numbers on for Christmas I searched to find some that would last and that were not made of plastic. This set fitted the bill perfectly and without too much damaging packaging. I was very pleased with them.

I really like Melissa and Doug, they’re one of my go to brands when looking for toys and these didn’t disappoint. My only suggestion is that they supply a bag with the blocks as these don’t, they’re loose once you’ve removed the packaging.
Kids love i
Amazing product, hours of entertainment out of it. It is amazing to see the children’s imagination flying to build new stuff. The only issue we ever had is that they never want to pick it up and put it away and we end up doing it, but that is not the products fault 😉
This is such a lovely little block set perfect for under 5s. Bought this for my 1 yr old and even though he prefers knocking down blocks rather than building with them, I know this set will provide hours of entertainment once he gets the hang of it. The blocks are brightly coloured and the paintwork is smooth. There’s a good variety of shapes included. We haven’t had trouble building with them like some of the other reviewers as the finish on the blocks has enough friction to keep them balanced on one another. Although they’re quite small, they’re perfect for little hands to hold.?I’d really recommend these as a gift for young children. Blocks provide great learning opportunities that develop early maths skills.

Beautiful bright coloured blocks, We bought these for our 4 year old daughter as a present for coping so well with this whole lockdown experience and being quite a educational toy thought it was great to use as part of homeschooling maths activities.
I’m a nursery nurse and my children at school all love Woden blocks and I know Mellissa & Doug always do such sturdy wooden toys there were cheaper products but stuck with this one and am so happy with them. Even my husband has been getting creative with building with them lol.

Got these in a Black Friday deal but even at full price they represent quality and good value. The blocks are a good variety of shapes and colours, with 100 in total they offer a great variety of options for creative play, our 2yo happily sits at the dining room table playing with them in all manner of configurations
Both my 3 and 5 year olds are enjoying this for creative play and even I have made the odd tower or two. Its just on the edge of being a bit too expensive for what you get but based on the enjoyment we’ve all gotten I’m still happy with it.
My daughter's favorite!
My husband and I have spent hours upon hours with our 8 month old building towers for her to knock down. I like the colors and various shapes. Right now she likes to bang them together and chew on them, but I think the building will come in time! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the paint has come off some. However, my daughter has teeth and really goes at it when she chews them so it’s probably unavoidable. I trust Melissa & Doug to use safe paint so it’s really not much of a worry for me.
I bought this product for my children 2 years ago now and just coming back to buy some more for a friend, realising I never left a review. In my opinion this is a great quality product for a very reasonable price. After 2 years of heavy use by 2 children, lots of chewing, throwing around the room, etc. I have never noticed a single fleck of paint to have ever chipped off. A good variety of shapes and colours leaving a lot of scope for a great range of imaginative building projects. We have so many toys that get played with intensely for 2 or 3 months and then get forgotten about and become old news, but sometimes the simple ones are the best, and the building blocks are one of the few toys we have that have never been relegated to the loft or into charity bags and have always had a deserved place in our living room as to this day they are played with multiple times a week. Definitely an old favourite and a proper classic toy.
