Colourful
Smaller than we expected should have looked at the dimensions. We use it without pole at the moment as baby is 9months and below recommended age and just wants to chew it. She enjoys chewing the rings and knocking them over when we stack them. Paint is thin in some places, were very dusty and needed a good clean when opened.
Always a favourite
4th time buying this item, once for my kids then as gifts after that. Its always a favorite and has multiple learning functions so that’d a bonus. Wouldn’t be without it.
Not as very big
If your looking for a tall stacker this is not for you. When it came thought it was small. On reflection it depends how much space you have for toys ! The toddlers enjoy stacking even if smaller .. if you want larger get plastic!
Colourful and inviting
This is a colourful and inviting toy, suitable for toddlers. It will be very durable and is study. I wouldn’t recommend for under 18 months without supervision. The long wooden pole can pose a problem with eyes, mouth etc. Also with a baby swinging it and hurting themselves.
Cheerful
Bright and cheerful. Good for adults (who want to be children) and young children. Wood is sturdy and unlikely to splinter easily. Mind you given its heaviness, if thrown, will lead to pain and bruises upon impact, as well as uncontrollable howling. Much like Boris J.
Smaller than expected, but nice
Nice wooden toy, a bit smaller than I expected (I didn’t check) but it was on offer so I dont mind. Colourful and I’m sure baby will enjoy one day!
Well
Braught this as a gift for my daughter .. the product it’s self is good BUT I was extremely wary of the stand as the wood has a point to it so was extremely cautious of my daughter using it in case of an injury other than that good product and very durable!
Very small - check the measurments
There is nothing wrong with the toy at all, it is a very sturdy and nicely made little toy. I was surprisised it was so The toy is rather small – my fault, I didn’t check any measurments. However it is a pefectly functional size, and being made of wood, it is probably better to be small or it would be too heavy.
I bought it for my 14 month-old granddaughter and I have had a couple of problems:
1. our cockapoo loves running off with the rings and chewing them (obviously not the fault of the toy), and
2. our little darling spends most of the time running around wielding the stacking pole like a marauding viking so much so that we have had to confiscate it to avoid injury to herself, the dog or ourselves. This somewhat defeats the object of the toy other than discuss colours sizes etc so I think it is better for when she is a bit older.
Great but so annoying to clear up
These was a great toy when my kid was younger but I got sick of putting them together 2 times a day and finding the pieces everywhere that I actually took it away.. it’s one of those totes that I dreaded her playing with.. if I were you id get a simple stacker, not a set of 3, it’s a pain in the a***
This is my daughter’s favourite toy!
She has lots of wooden toys and some plastic toys. This is her favourite as she loves to pull the rings off. Since she could sit she loves to dismantle then crawl and play with the rings on the floor. The next stage is learning how to re-stack. My older children love to play with this toy with the baby too. Fun for all!
The toy still looks new. The colours don’t run, no chipping or flaking. The rings have been gnawed and thrown but looks perfect.
The only criticism is the red ball on top sits about 1cm above the top ring so it doesnt look exactly like the photos as advertised.
I’d still highly recommend!
This product was bought in October 2015 for my son (who was 19 months at the time) to improve his concentration and hand-eye coordination. He has been playing with it for over 8 weeks now and absolutely loves it.
Build:
– The stacker is made of superior quality wood
– It includes a solid wood base with a pole along with 8 rings, all in different diameters
– All rings are painted in attractive colors
– The color of the pieces does not shed/come off e.g. when rubbed against another surface
– There is no danger of the wood fragmenting and causing splinters, and hence is totally safe when used by little hands
– All pieces are painted in attractive rainbow colors as follows:
1 piece in Violet
2 pieces in shades of blue
2 pieces in shades of green
1 piece in yellow
1 piece in orange
1 piece in red (the round one at the top)
NOTE: Please note that the stacker that was received is different to the one depicted in the picture. The pieces are slightly different in color (e.g. no black piece, and only 1 red piece at the top etc.) but this is not an issue as it still comes in very vibrant colors and is in no way defective.
Suitability & Safety
– The toy Is suitable for my son’s age but it isn’t exactly a ‘soft’ toy so care is needed if allowing younger children to play with it (I would not give this to a child that is under 18 months old). We first gave it to our son when he was about 18 months old
– The pole attached to the wooden base is not sharp and hence does not pose any risk, but I would still take extra care as a toddler may still get hurt if he/she falls on the pole
– It does not have any sharp edges
– The toy does not particularly pose a choking hazard as even the smallest of the pieces is too big for a toddler to swallow
– It is robust and sturdy enough – the pieces have survived being dropped from the top of the staircase (1 storey house) so many times that I have now lost count. Despite, this, there has been no obvious visible damage.
Conclusion
– I have noticed that my son’s hand-eye coordination has improved in just a couple of weeks of playing with the toy and hence the toy certainly does help with learning
– He finds removing the rings as enjoyable as stacking them
– He not only enjoys his toy but is gradually also learning about colors/shapes
I gave this to a child that I mind for Christmas and he loves it, he is a little young as he is almost 1 but I thought it was a toy that he would grow into and his older sister who is almost 3 could help him play with it.
He loves taking all the blocks off and banging them together and it is well made enough to withstand this constant battering.
I would highly recommend this item over the ones I saw in our local stores and as it is slightly bigger and more durable than they looked and it was about the same price as them.
Brilliant fun for years to come and possibley a toy that will stand the test of time and not end up in a bin but can be passed on to someone else.
