Nice clean and tidy cat flap, I replaced a bulky catflap that we have had for about 20 years, My new cat hasn’t quite got the hang of pushing it herself yet but we only put it in yesterday, it looks great I am very pleased so far.

Overall very good cat flap, it’s plenty large enough for both of our cats and we definitely like that it locks 4 different ways.

The only problem we have it that the locking mechanic is just a small(ish) bit of plastic in the very middle bottom of the cat flap.

One of our cats is extremely boisterous and does not like it when he gets locked outside (usually just for a bit while we’re eating, but once when he got worms and we had to keep him outside while we cleaned everything) and he will incessantly keep punching the cat flap trying to get back in.

He has managed to break back in on a couple of occasions as he’s realised that the corners of the cat flap will bend inwards if he forces it. We’ve managed to find a small work around by pushing the cat flap all the way outside before locking from both sides as this puts two plastic barriers in place rather than just the one, but obviously it’s not supposed to be locked like this. It helps a bit but he still tries his best to get through.

Would be a bit sturdier if the locks rotated in from the corners rather than the centre. However, if your cat is normal and not a menace in fluff form then I’m sure this will work fine for you!

So overall I have found this catflap great. It does the job. My cats tend to have to paw it first to get it going so took them a bit of time to get used to it but most of them just barrel through it now. When they go through it does make a bit of a noise as it goes back and forth to get its magnet back but I’ve learned to like that about it now so I know when they are going in and out. I found it only opened on its own a little in severe wind so pretty strong.
When I was cutting it to size I did have to cut it more than the instructions say to. I think there was a review that also said the same for this so remember that when installing. You’re not going mad, just take that extra off. The knob at the front could do with some knotches or something on it to make it easier to turn as it can be a bit fiddly to get a grip of.

All in all a decent product for the price but could do with a few tweets.

The cat flap was bought to fit into a wooden door into a shed. It was easy to fit after following instructions. In my case had to cut down the plastic tunnel part of the rear plate – this was not the easiest. Beware do not cut exactly along the markings as this will leave a gap which I had to fill with piece of plastic. Cut straight not indent. Works well. The lock works but little fiddly. But overall good value and well made. Our cat is on large size and fits through with ease.

Took a chance on this pet door as it was the right size & very competitively priced. It has a couple of issues, so not 5 star, but on the whole it is great. The installation went so smoothly, upgrading from a standard size cat flap in a UPVC door. The only issues are it could benefit from the application of a sealant around it to cover a tiny gap between the frame and the door in places & the brushes around the flap could be a bit longer and fit more snugly against the frame. The seller said they have passed this on to the factory. All in all though it has been in about a week and I am really happy with it. Great size for a miniature Jack Russell who had outgrown the previous door. Decent budget option.
