It’s perfect for my small jobs
Battery life is good.
You can use this for tiles work or carpentry work, I already have dewalt one 360 degrees but that one is really cheap, straightness, visibility is good
Really helpful with panelling
I brought this to help panel my living room and it was much easier to determine how straight to put the slats as the skirting bored wasn’t straight, would definitely recommend if you’re panelling
Made my life easy
I always use the rob to see if it is level. This is a game-changer. I never knew it was so simple and easy to do DIY. Thank you again. Great quality product. super shine laser too
Perfect alignme
Its perfect for me .. as an artist what i want . Its usefull for straight tattoo, hanging my painting straight. Whatever any way i put any surface it shows straight it self manage tha
Lase
I bought a laser for work so that it would be compact and would not take up much space in a bag with tools.
the laser turned out to be good and the green lines are clearly visible.
Is it level? Yes
The laser is bright, and broad. Product doesn’t need to be completely level as it’s on a floating ball that levels with gravity. This does however make it move/wobble if walked next to and the floor is solid like concrete. However this does do what you want.
Good value for money but?
The “instructions” are contained within a catalogue and are minimal at best. If an instruction manual is not provided it would be good to have a link to a website. Example “Unlock the pendulum, enable the self-leveling mode, when the tool exceeds the self-leveling range by 41, the laser beam will flash to remind you.” No explanation of the pendulum?
Does the job for a good price
Didn’t expect much but was pleasantly surprised. Needed to get a line for down lights. Easy to use and fitted my photography tripod. Clear green beam. Great for a DIY person like me.
Does the Job.
Like most lasers this suffers the same issue, you need a taller tripod stand.
The On/Off button only works to turn it off, to turn it on you have to move the switch on the side which makes no sense. The laser is not strong enough so has to be reasonably close, but for work such as hanging pictures, one would need a tripod that its at the same height as the pictures you intend to hang.
other wise its ok.
For the price a good basic laser level.
A good basic laser level for the price. Nice bright green laser. My first experience with a laser level so a bit of experimenting trying to line up led spots on a ceiling. I ended up turning off the auto align and using the manual setting to project on the ceiling. Maybe down to me being a novice with lasers. Horizontal and vertical using auto alignment is really easy. I found using a camera tripod useful. If you just need basic functions occasionally then this fits the bill, why pay silly money for a model with all the bells and whistles if you are never going to use them.
Nice laser level at a decent price
This is a nice laser level at a very reasonable price point. The green laser lines are clear and bright indoors but are a little difficult to see outdoors in moderately bright conditions. I have used it for several hours so far and the original set of batteries are still going strong. A really useful tool to have and a good storage pouch.
Good value for the price
Found this level to be really useful. Used for checking level of block paving over a 3.5m distance in shaded area. Not great for use in bright sunshine but, to be honest, NO laser will show up on a non reflective dark surface. I used a sheet of white paper to see line easily. The on/off switch is really a self levelling on and off where the top button turns laser on in the off/locked position. In locked position it is great to check right angle between surfaces from above.
Great for general DIY use. Easy to use.
Bought this for lining if shelving and paint lines on the wall along with other DYI installation and it works like a treat. The way it self levels depending on the surface makes it great for accuracy.
The only thing I would suggest is grabbing a tripod or something to make it a bit easier for mounting as we ended up stacking books to get it high enough…. Still worked great, but took a minute.
Good quality bit of ki
Tried out to get some pictures lined up. Good device, uses a standard camera mount (which doesn’t seem to be mentioned otherwise in the description).
Auto stabiliser seems to work fine, even if its not the fastest to settle!
Comes with batteries which is nice. Lock button doesn’t seem to do anything.
From hanging wallpaper to laying flooring and everything in-between, this laser level has come in handy.
I’m a complete diy novice with many, many jobs to do so if there’s any way I can make life easier for myself then I’ll take it.
This laser means I don’t have to struggle climbing up with a spirit level to make sure curtain poles or mirrors are straight (im 4″10 so I need all the help I can get)
I don’t have to worry about messing up if I’m trying to level out something longer than the spirit level; this laser covers a full room so is longer than any spirit level I could buy
I don’t have to worry about my kids finding it and using it as some sort of weapon – which they 100% would if they came across a spirit level
I’ve got no shed nor much storage in my house, but this level is so compact and comes with a pouch so storing it away hasnt been a problem
The laser itself is very bright and easily visible
Its accurate enough for me to get my jobs done and its honestly more than enough for anyone to use at home, but if you want true, professional, precision then you’ll have to spend the big bucks on a high end version.
I’m more than happy with my purchase and I’m glad I bought it, its a great bit of kit to have
The Nikotek Green Laser Level Self-Leveling has been a mixed bag of surprises. Despite the top button’s mysterious lack of function, the side-mounted slide switch handles the on/off duties with no qualms.
While the laser’s brightness doesn’t quite compete with premium brands under direct sunlight, it’s a budget-friendly option that gets the job done. It has successfully assisted me in building square frames, hanging pictures, establishing plumb lines for tiles, and ensuring walls are true. The irony is that it’s played a bit of havoc with my OCD but consistently delivers nice, level lines (cross-verified with a spirit level for peace of mind).
The handy tripod mount adds a layer of convenience, minimizing unnecessary fuss. I strongly advise using a tripod for optimal performance.
For those of us prone to misplacing tape measures, the cost of this laser level is much easier to swallow. Its nice auto-leveler is a standout feature, making it a reliable tool for various tasks despite the quirks. A practical investment for the less-than-perfect handyman.
